Beautiful boutique hotel in the middle of everything great about Boerne. Clean room. Access to balcony and view of festival across the street. Awesome bathroom! Hot strong shower steam. Only disappointment was no elevator. Will definitely stay again

This hotel is incredible! Right off Main Street, it’s convenient and close to so much awesome shopping and food/drink! I enjoyed running along the creek, right next door. The kids enjoyed the “dipping pool.” Our room was gorgeous and so spacious. The inn is beautifully decorated, with nothing out of place. We had a lovely time here!

This is a classic, older property with few amenities. Old style charm. I was assigned an upstairs room. With luggage, not that easy to navigate. Staff was willing to assist on check in but no one around during check out. Site indicates parking. Well, there is free parking on the street and in an alley behind the property. No dedicated parking for the hotel. WiFi was intermittent at best. I had to use the lobby area to get a decent signal.

I stayed in the Sarah Reed suite mostly to take advantage of the bear claw tub. Everything was clean and comfortable. The folks at the front desk were very polite and accomodating. This room doesn't come standard with a fridge, but you can ask for one and they wikk provide if available. I wouldn't come for the pool specifically because it was very small and not much to the pool area.

We planned a hill country weekend with us staying at The Kendall the first night. Parking is crazy especially with an event going in across the stress but once you park you don’t really need to drive anywhere. Perfect location to walk everywhere. Our TV didn’t work and it was chilly so the heater in the bathroom not working made mornings a little rough after showering. The young lady in the front was amazing though. With Peggy’s on the Green being right there I did wish they had some seating available for the guest staying at there hotel because they had no tables available that evening due to them being booked. Overall beautiful place, now that we know the layout we will be prepared. Cute charming little place. Very hallmark vibe.

Unsanitary conditions. Not sure the last time the floor in bathroom had been cleaned. Every where you looked were signs that this room had not been dusted, wiped down, and the bathroom was the worst. I’m not sure how they received previous ratings. It was an unreal experience and front desk was not willing to assist.

Everything was excellent until I woke up and realized I had been bitten 7 times while sleeping by a bug. I’m not saying it’s bed bugs, but it wasn’t a mosquito or an ant. Still waiting to hear back from the property after leaving a voicemail and talking to front desk receptionist regarding this matter. I’m a fan of second chances and everything else was fantastic about this property, hoping to be able to go back with a better experience.

We did not stay in room. Floor was dirty, carpets dirty, hair in sink, ac filter full of dirt, heater/ac vents damaged and closed up, bed sheets looked used and worn thin. My wife and my 39th Ann8versary and she refused to sleep thrre, so we told front desk and returned keys. Very costly to us. We got another hotel.

This is my favorite place to stay in Boerne. The hotel is so clean and pristine! Each room has a different theme! I love the quaint feel of the place. I also love that it is walking distance to all the fun places and restaurants. Will stay there again.

This property online says it has a lot of amenities that it does not have. The room was dirty, hair on the floor and a filthy rug. We were there 3 days and the same clump of hair stayed on the bathroom floor and the rug had dirt that was never vacuumed. We left it there to see if it would be cleaned. The entire hotel is old but it’s in disrepair. The pool is dirty and just an unacceptable stay for the amount of money you pay to stay . The staff was not very nice and did not take well to our complaints. Just a bad stay. I would not recommend at all.

Belles Bird was a great room at The Kendall! The bed is comfy and the AC is cold, which is welcomed in Texas! The room is not spacious but that is to be expected in a historic building. There are high ceilings, which make the room feel bigger than it is. The shower had great water pressure. There are two large mirrors in the bathroom making it convenient for a couple to get ready for their Boerne adventures. Would definitely stay at The Kendall and in this room again.

This place is absolutely amazing! Beautiful rustic ambience and homey feel. Like stepping back in time, but with all of the newer amenities. The only bad thing was the Wi-Fi was terrible, and the cable TV didn't work well.

Very cute historic hotel. Night times were difficult due to lights outside window that stayed on all night. There were no black out drapes to shield us. The floors in room were uneven due to old building shifts. The main door handle came off in my hand as I was closing door to lock it with a key. However, the hotel decor and decorations were beautiful. The rooms were decorated with knickknacks which made us feel we were in someone’s guest room. The location is near the heart of Boerne with restaurants and shops just steps away. There is also a lovely riverwalk which starts outside the hotel.

Excellent service, beautiful room on beautiful grounds, very comfortable, however walls are a bit thinner than normal. Heard the neighboring television all night long and it was hard to drown out the sound. Other than that, wonderful and will stay again.

We had planned to spend three nights at the hotel but an emergency came up. I reached out multiple times to see if I could postpone our stay but they never answered the phone or responded to me. They kept my entire payment but never attempted to contact me.

Check in was a bit of a mess our room wasn't ready till 4 was told it would be ready by noon. Had a wedding to get to that started at 5 that was 20 miles away... needless to say was a bit rushed to get dressed for it. Another couple went with us sepeperate rooms and theiy got a call at 11 telling them there room was ready. Otherwise will definitely stay here again.

I cannot say enough fabulous things about The Kendall! Everything was top notch! The General Manager, Nicole, and all staff were pleasant, easily accessible, helpful and hold a valuable wealth of knowledge of Boerne, Texas! My mother and I took a chance and booked our stay online since we had a conference nearby. I’m already planning my next trip, making reservations for Spring! This is one of the best experiences I’ve had at a privately owned inn! I cannot say enough fabulous things about The Kendall! Everything was top notch! The General Manager, Nicole, and all staff were pleasant, easily accessible, helpful and hold a valuable wealth of knowledge of Boerne, Texas! My mother and I took a chance and booked our stay online since we had a conference nearby. I’m already planning my next trip, making reservations for Spring! This is one of the best experiences I’ve had at a privately owned inn! The young lady who checked us in was fantastic. Our day of traveling was horrible, and we arrived late, (Just before 11 pm) We weren't in the greatest place mentally but she made us rest easy with check in, info and her smile. The room was great, bed was very comfortable. We wanted for nothing, it was all there. Although our stay was quite brief, we would certainly stay her again!

The young lady at check in was super nice and helpful. She called us before check in time to let us know that our room was ready and that we could check in early. That was super helpful. My wife just had a surgery performed and we were staying a night in Boerne before heading back home. The room was very clean and comfortable.

Hotel was really lovely. Only issue was all the noise, there was a big Easter concert the morning we departed. Unfortunately they started playing at 7:00am and we could hear every word in our room. I wish the hotel had let us know that this was taking place ahead of time.

We love the courtyard area. It is peaceful, quiet, pretty, with plenty of nooks for sitting outside. Feel safe there as there’s a combo lock to enter. Visiting Boerne is a real treat with unique shops and great restaurants steps away. The Kendall is right next to Cibilo Creek with a trail in back of downtown. We stepped into the brewery via the back door off the trail. Fun & convenience right next to this sweet boutique hotel. This was our 2nd stay at The Kendall but not the last.

The Kendall was the perfect hotel for our quick trip to Boerne. It is full of charm and history and makes you feel like a real Texan. It's location can't be beat! You can easily walk to all the restaurants and shops in town. They were friendly at check in and check out. We did not need any other help, but I'm sure they would've been very accommodating. I booked the W. Bird suite and loved the high ceilings and space. Will return!!

We stayed here 1 night for our anniversary. This historical hotel (1859) is a treat in many ways. We were notified by text that we could check in 3 hours early. When we arrived check-in was quick. We were offered a glass of champagne which we took outside and enjoyed while we rocked overlooking a small park. We walked along a creek 10 minutes to "The Creek" for dinner. Another beautiful historical property with great service, great music and fantastic food. Attached to the hotel is a bar and Restaurant (Peggy's in the Green) owned by one of the best Chef's in the San Antonio area. We had brunch there Sunday morning. We have eaten here several times and are always pleased. Everything you need is within walking distance - breweries, boutiques, food and ice cream, restaurants, and antiques. A perfect place to spend a special occasion.

Our stay was incredibly peaceful. Our room was spacious and clean. The location was ideal, being just a short walk away from local shops and restaurants. Even their on site restaurant was amazing and convenient for a last minute meal after a day of exploring the town. Overall, it was an incredible experience. Definitely looking forward to another visit!

The room was stunning. I’m a sucker for turn of the eighteenth century remodels and this fit the bill. It’s so vintage but updated with a modern feel. It’s all so classy and has a stamp of Texas everywhere you look. The bed was comfortable, the room was tastefully decorated, the shower was massive, and the on-site restaurant was amazing. My husband and I went to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and it was fabulous. Peggy’s on the Green is a Zagat rated restaurant and for a foodie like me that was a plus. The drinks are excellent, the steak wonderful. I would most definitely go again.

We planned a hill country weekend with us staying at The Kendall the first night. Parking is crazy especially with an event going in across the stress but once you park you don’t really need to drive anywhere. Perfect location to walk everywhere. Our TV didn’t work and it was chilly so the heater in the bathroom not working made mornings a little rough after showering. The young lady in the front was amazing though. With Peggy’s on the Green being right there I did wish they had some seating available for the guest staying at there hotel because they had no tables available that evening due to them being booked. Overall beautiful place, now that we know the layout we will be prepared. Cute charming little place. Very hallmark vibe.

Great location for downtown Boerne, couldn't be more well situated. Off main street by 1 minute, so it felt quiet, but close to everything. Coffee could be improved. For the price and luxury feel of it, I think they need better coffee.

Don't go on a Monday. Half the town is closed. Including the restaurant at the hotel (closed Monday and Tuesday). Excellent hotel and service though. Would highly recommend renting out one of the cabins.

We really loved our stay at this hotel! It was charming, beautifully appointed, and in a fantastic, walkable location. Everything about the property made for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was the soundproofing. We could hear the guests on both sides of our room fairly clearly—one group came in late at night, while another was up early in the morning. It wasn’t enough to ruin our stay, but it did interrupt our sleep. Overall, we would definitely stay here again and would happily recommend it. A wonderful hotel with a lot of charm and a great location!

The hotel it self, was beautiful..the room was extremely hot, the remote control thermostat was in a foreign language and ac cut on/off throughout night, never cooled down and in our Texas heat-it was very uncomfortable. Huge roach was wondering around in bathroom..too fast to kill. Door knob was literally missing bolts and falling off( told staff and nothing was done) we did have an amazing steak dinner at the bar on positive note… Also if you re looking for a fun and exciting shopping experience or nightlife-this is not it.
