Window privacy blinds did not work; we reported to staff, but they were never fixed. The room had a stale smell.

It occurs to me that people mostly write reviews when they absolutely love something or are wildly angry. So, I'll weigh in here to fill in the gap. Shut your eyes and imagine a suburban Holiday Inn Express on a busy road. This hotel is exactly what you are picturing. It is clean, quiet, and safe. I liked the pillows. There is a Dairy Queen next door and a really excellent donut shop across the road. The staff is pleasant. Breakfast has hot and cold options, and it's okay! Five minutes after leaving this hotel, there is nothing in particular you will remember about it. However, it was $110 per night, and it absolutely gets the job done.

The room was clean and staff was friendly. The breakfast was hot and fresh. Our room was a suite next to stairs and had people stomping up and down all night long. There were also issues for some guests with their key cards not working and we were told the locks were in the process of being upgraded.

The bed and pillows were very comfortable, but the climate of the room was not. The under window PTAC unit said that it was controlled by the thermostat on the wall, but the wall thermostat did nothing. Finally figured out on my second night that the wall thermostat is fake. It looks operative, and let's you change the temperature and settings, but it does NOTHING. So i opened up the PTAC panel under the window and discovered the unit was turned off. Turned on the AC and set the temperature, and it quickly cooled down. Also, shower head was super high up on the wall, like 3 feet above my head, and water pressure was low, so it was hard to shower and get rinsed.
