We could have stayed anywhere the night before my early-morning flight. But the pictures of this property looked so good online, especially the sparkling blue water of the swimming pool. My grandchildren were so looking forward to swimming. However, when we arrived at the pool to swim, the water was a toxic-green color, and the fence was chained shut. Disappointing. At check-in, I was next in line behind a guest complaining that every washing machine was out of order. Be forewarned. Other than those things, we were happy. The campus has nice landscaping, our room was very clean, the desk staff was nice, complimentary coffee is always available -- with liquid creamer --- and the airport shuttle service was free and on time.

Overall stay was fine, however pool was closed our entire stay. Note signs about no smoking within 25ft but less than 10ft 2 tables with smoking pots and people smoking. Laundry room was 2 out of 5. Machines in bad shape, no chairs in room to sit while clothes are washing. Also no ac or fans in room was really hot.

I stayed at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Houston Bush IAH South for five days. I picked this location for the pool and washer amenities. Unfortunately, the pool was closed for four out of those five days. On the final day, it finally reopened—but as someone with a background in pool maintenance, I can say it was still not clean or well-maintained (see attached photo.water is not clear at all like in their website photo. they need to drain and refill water, they only added chemicals)... (sorry to the people caught in the photo) Another disappointment was the advertised washer and dryer amenities. All machines were out of order for the entire duration of my stay, which was especially inconvenient for a longer trip. If these issues had not been present, my rating would’ve been higher. The staff was polite and the location is convenient, but the lack of functioning amenities definitely impacted my experience.

Economical and good value, but the van service is very limited and does not operate as stated in the hotel reservation notes (supposed to run until 10pm, they stop at 9pm). Taxis don't like short runs like this and it will cost about $25.

Arriving to the hotel look nice u til I got to my room and on the elevator through the halls there where roach everywhere. Very unsanitary! Very uncomfortable to stay, front desk was nice enough to provide Lysol for the room but I did not like my stay at all and it was very short.

The bathroom wasn’t clean. There was hair in the shower and baby roach. The elevator didn’t work we had to go up 5 levels of stairs. The room didn’t get really cold. The breakfast was good. Check in was easy and quick.

The first room we were given had a horrific smell and the couch had so many fresh stains that you could not comfortably sit on. The second room we were given had no A/C. The third room had baby roaches all over the place but at that point i gave up. Very disappointed and would not recommend.

I found bed bugs in the bed I was sleeping with my sin. I informed the front desk and she was very nonchalant. I was given a number to call and speak to “Sam” but he is never there. Staff was very accommodating and friendly! Room was clean saw a spider one day, main light wouldn’t turn off. Wish room would have had a desk area. WiFi was not strong Food options were limited due to them running out of most items during our stay. But overall stay was good. Close to airport. Shuttle service was excellent.

Nice hotel and a great rate. My first room the electronic door wouldn’t open on the 4th floor. Long walk back to desk and got a different room. No desk to work just open carpet space. Too tired to complain.

NEVER go here. Front desk Jessica is ignorant, disrespectful and racist. She gave me a dirty unserviced room to stay in ans when i complained about it, she told me that is all she has and i have no other choice but to stay in that room. I told her so she expects me to stay in a filthy unserviced room and pay for it? And she replies yes or get a refund. Earlier i had requested the general manager 's name and she just gave me a card with the number and told.me she cannot give me the name. When i went back downstairs to complain about the room, another person requested the same thing (mgr name) and she wrote his name down on the same small card she gave me. I confronted her in front of everyone and she tells me that i did not ask nicely for the name so she didn't give me the info. I told her that makes no sense and if a client is asking for info it should be given equally. She is racist! And that was discrimination! Avoid this ghetto place like the plague!

We waited over an hour for the shuttle to bring us to the hotel from the airport. We had asked for a handicapped room, but it wasn’t available. There were no diet drinks available in the Market Place, and when I settled on a water, the front desk didn’t have change for a $20 bill and couldn’t take a Credit card. When I reported a large puddle leaking from the refrigerator, I was given 3 hand towels. The room was clean and the hotel is better than many LaQuinta Inns. It appears a management issue.

I attempted to call the hotel from the airport for over an hour and a half. Their message said to sele t 3 to talk to front desk. I only got a message that the person at this extension is unavailable. I finally hit 0000 and got the front desk. By then it was too late to order a shuttle. I let the girl know thos and she said well i was the first call they recieved that day. I ended up spending about $15 for an uber. This is extremely upsetting when it ahould nt have happened.

While the room was clean and the pool area looked great outside, unfortunately the staff checking us in that night were not up to paar. It took 4 times to make keys and 1 room change to get into our room. Keys didn't work, front desk guy didn't tell us anything about the property pool location, breakfast times or location, had no info on late check out. And it took him 4 times to get the keys right. The lady he had helping us was in her pajama bottoms, no uniform. There was a person sleeping in the lounge area. I asked if this was a homeless person and whether the neighborhood was safe. She said it was OK. Turns out later that the person was someone she knew perhaps even an older child of hers. This situation was very unprofessional. The corporate office should really look into who they are employing and give them more training. I felt like I was being checked in by two young adults that didn't work there, but were perhaps watching over a shift for a real employee.

Ale did a GREAT job getting us in during a very hectic period following an unexpected shutdown at IAH. I arrived at the hotel after midnight and waited in a LONG line. When I arrived to Ale, she was very polite and relaxed. We were in quickly! Thank you!

Only main mistake was that the hotel did not have any bottled water, In rooms or for sale the two days. The breakfast bar was limited and would run out of egg and other items too fast and would take a while to restock.

I e stayed here many times and while I appreciate the upgrades I don’t appreciate the $100 deposit required even when the room is paid in full. Also didn’t appreciate that breakfast was only available from 7:09am-9:00am.

Very happy with our stay. Needed a place to stay between flights. The value was excellent. Room was clean. A couple of minor aesthetic things like missing base moulding in part of the elevator and a knob missing on a small door in our room, but otherwise well kept. The lounge and breakfast area was very nice for visiting in the evening and enjoying breakfast in the morning. Breakfast was better than I expected…waffles, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs & sausage patties, yogurt, cereal and apples. The shuttle from the airport and back was quick and efficient. Apparently it only runs at the top of the hour, but it was good timing for us.

The hotel is OK. There is one lady in the Night Shift that is super nice but otherwise the staff is Ok. The guests in this hotel smoked weed and were loud until late in the night. Wouldn’t recommend if you have kids like us.

I spent one night at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Houston Bush IAH, and the experience was appalling. It started with the elevator being out of order. Then I entered my room, which reeked of dampness and humidity. There was visible mould, along with significant damage to the walls and window frames. I have attached photographs because the condition of the room really needs to be seen to be believed. The following morning, there was no hot water. Calling it lukewarm would be extraordinarily generous, if not an outright lie. Then things became almost comical. I went to get some drinking water from the fountain near reception, only to be told that it, too, was broken. Finally, after checking out, I needed to use the bathroom in the lobby. You guessed it: out of order. So, to recap: the elevator was broken, the room smelled of dampness and had visible mould and deterioration, there was no hot water, the drinking fountain was broken, and the lobby bathroom was out of order. At some point, you have to wonder whether anyone is actually maintaining this property. I don’t expect luxury from a La Quinta, but I do expect basic cleanliness, functioning facilities, and a room that doesn’t smell like a damp basement. This wasn’t simply disappointing. It was unacceptable. I would not recommend staying here.
