The room was clean and the staff were great. Free breakfast was a plus! The only downside was the ongoing construction. The hallway carpet being completely removed was quite alarming. Other than that, it was a great stay. Look forward to the remodel.

Property was ok overall. The only thing I hated is the parking situation. My car got towed because I didnt put the tag in the window. We hopped in the car with friends to run to the mall and when we returned my car was gone. It cost 281 dollars for me to get it back. I've never experienced ANYTHING LIKE THIS. ALL THE HOTEL COULD SAY WAS SORRY. Almost 300 bucks and no one cared. I WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS LOCATION OR ANY OTHER LOCATION WHERE I CANT JUST PARK AND NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT MY CAR BEING TOWED !!!

My rental was towed from the property. I believe they should have a better system for there towing contract. A list of cars and tags should be supplied to the towing company once you're checked in. $305 for towing on vacation is horrible.

They have a parking permit required to be on your dash No Tape to secure the permit (1/4 piece of paper), property takes down your car make, model and license plate to verify Hauled car away, lost 4-5 hours and property management said our fault and to pay the tow company $250 Took over an hour to get a manager to call, and manager said our fault the permit was not seen by Tow company, so pay the tow Informed management, we are your customer and you are a franchise with what could be fraud Management acquiescing called the tow company and verified the auto make, model and license plate were registered at the hotel Parking permit was in the defrost vent…but day lost and stress…so stupid and preventable with larger parking permits, hanging ones for mirrors or a piece of scotch tape

This hotel is a great choice in the mid-price range. Free and easy parking, comfortable and quiet rooms, efficient staff and good breakfast buffet. Onsite gym is small but serviceable. Recommended.

The place is undergoing a remodel. Walls in hallway have lots of spackle and I’m sure they’re about to get painted. Otherwise, very nice. Clean, Ample rooms with kitchenette.

Seemed like the property was having renovations. The pool was unavailable. The breakfast was sub par. The fitness room was small with only 6 dumbbells, a bench, and 3 cardio machines. The rooms were comfortable.

Really good value. The rooms are suites, which is nice. An adequate breakfast and easy parking. The staff are first class. Unlike some other "suite" hotels, the rooms are cleaned daily. A nich touch. Handy for the Galleria.

My recent stay at Sonesta ES Suites Houston Galleria was disappointing. The hotel's reception area gives a misleading impression of the rest of the facility, which unfortunately appears quite neglected. Upon arrival, the entire second floor was pervaded by a musty odor that extended from the corridors into the rooms. This issue forced us to switch rooms, but the situation was hardly better. The hallways showed significant wear, with damaged walls and one room even missing a door frame. Our initial room felt cramped, prompting us to upgrade to a two-bedroom king room, which also had its share of problems: damaged doors, barely functioning locks, and an excessively loud air conditioner that struggled to cool the room, running nonstop despite moderate outside temperatures. Although the bathroom fittings seemed more updated and the sheets were clean, the overall cleanliness was marred by stained carpets. The elevator was dirty, and the operating permit for it expired 2 years ago. Considering the condition of the accommodations, I find it hard to justify the three-star rating. I would not recommend staying at this hotel.

This was a terrible experience. The hallways on every floor were patched up and there was a huge smell of marijuana on the third floor. I got transferred to the first floor and my room had mold in the corners by the bathroom. There was no hot water for three days also. This was very uncomfortable and unpleasant to say the least. I do not recommend this property by any means.

I have never stayed in a property with as many cockroaches in the room , they must have an infestation , it was bad . I even told the front desk on the first morning and he said he would have maintenance do something to the room , the second morning was worse , I gave up killing them . I would have moved out but the Rodeo was in town so rooms were $$$ and scarce. They comped me one night , in hindsight it should have been two. I travel and stay in hotels a lot , this was hands down the worst , I can handle a bug or two but this beyond that . They came out in the morning , if I had seen them in the room when I checked in I would have taken action then. Room 418 you have been warned . People only really take the time to give reviews when they are dissatisfied , I don’t normally bother but felt I had to in this instance

We stayed here a few weeks ago and it was ok. But this last time was not the same . Our sheets were dirty - I had people jumping around on the floor above us . They have a Visable mold problem in the air vents and a/c unit. Stains on carpet.Elevator is sketchy- some times we weren’t sure if we’d get out . Overall - needs a vamp up. Very dated. The mold did it for us. It’s Visable looking into the air vents in room. There was also an unlocked door( which the kids opened -not safe) in the room that housed the ac unit - lined with mold.

This property is old and shabby. Big chunk of carpet missing in the room, corner of couch ripped up, peeling paint in the bathroom, big crack in the wall around the door frame. Lobby reeks of bug spray.

The room was clean and the staff were friendly, which I appreciated. However, the high-speed internet was unusable throughout my stay. The connection would drop after about 3 seconds and remained unreliable between 7 AM and 9 PM. When it did connect, the speed was only around 490 Kbps, compared to my phone’s 5G connection of 240 Mbps. Please consider improving the internet service to a satisfactory level, as reliable Wi-Fi is essential for guests.

Great location with walkable access to Galleria mall, restaurants, and more. The pictures do not adequately depict the room which was pretty small and dated. Breakfast was decent as it provided typical continental meal options. Service was great and staff were welcoming.

This was likely on of the worse stays I’ve ever experienced. I ended up checking out early due to bugs seen in the room and the only response from staff was “okay” in regards to the issue. I was traveling with my two young kids and special needs cousin and this was horribly inconvenient and damaging to our vacation. The staff was rude. I entered for breakfast with my children at 8:46 pm and most food was depleted. When I asked the lady if there was more sausage available, she rudely stated no, breakfast ends at 9. Yet I saw her smile and greet people coming in after 9am. There was a couch with a cover in the room that looked like it was never washed(should have left then). I would not recommend anyone staying here. This place was worse than staying at a motel. I have stayed at other Sonesta hotels and never had this experience.

Worst Stay Ever! I am extremely disappointed with my recent stay at the Sonesta Hotel in Houston .From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this hotel was not up to standard. First of all, there was no hot water throughout our entire stay. This was incredibly frustrating as we were unable to take a single shower. We immediately complained to the staff, but they were completely indifferent and did nothing to resolve the issue. The staff was not only unhelpful, but also disrespectful and unresponsive when we tried to discuss the matter. To make matters worse, the room had a terrible smell, which we traced back to the kitchen sink. It smelled like sewage and made the living room unbearable to stay in. It was extremely unpleasant, especially after a long day of travel. Additionally, the bathtub in the bathroom was outdated and unpolished. It looked like it hadn’t been properly maintained in years. The furniture in the room, including the couches, was also a huge disappointment. Both the room and the lobby had old, uncomfortable furniture with broken springs, making it nearly impossible to relax during our stay. This hotel clearly does not value its guests or take any responsibility for providing a clean, comfortable stay. I will not be returning and highly recommend that others avoid this place. It was a nightmare from start to finish.

Hotel was appealing in lobby and that’s room was decent. Hotel was obviously under going some renovations and in the week we were there, no progress was made. Room itself was nice enough, but after the room hadn’t been cleaned, we contacted the front desk and they claimed we had the “do not disturb” sign on our but, which we did not.

Check in was quick and easy, with a professional staff member. There was a $100 deposit for incidentals. The suite was spacious, a bit dated, but clean. It was incredibly convenient to have the Galleria Mall within walking distance (5 mins.). Our stay was affordable and enjoyable!

I had a wonderful stay. My room was quiet, clean, comfortable, I felt safe, and the staff was very friendly. I walked to the Galleria and it was only about a 3 minute walk and I felt safe in the area. I would definitely stay here again.

The only thing is there is a very late night bar across the street that was extremely loud until about 4 AM. If you’re sensitive to noise, make sure you ask for one of the back rooms. It might be better?

It was a lovely place, and the location was great. It was very close to the Galleria and easy driving to downtown. It was nice to walk to the water wall and galleria from the hotel. I would choose this place again, if I returned to the Houston area gain.

This was a very nice family friendly hotel. Fantastic hot breakfast that had waffles, sausage, eggs, and potatoes. They had an amazing coffee bar with creamer options. There was a very nice pool with towels so no need to bring your room towels. Plenty of parking. Nothing bad to say about this place.

Wonderful location in the galleria area of Houston, I had to get to areas in downtown and Memorial Park so this is equidistant and safe and trendy area. It really feels like you are living in a one-bedroom apartment so feels like home after a long day. Great customer service too, everyone was so friendly. I just deducted a point since the furniture is noticeably a bit worn (especially in the lobby area) and some areas could use a fresh coat of paint for a four-star hotel. For what you pay for to be in this nice location of town though perhaps that is the trade off.
