Best Western Lubbock West Inn & Suites

Good location and quiet. Pool was dirty and need to fix shades and other small items in the room. Bed covers were minimal. Would be bad in winter.

Overall the stay wasn’t too bad. One elevator was down. Ice machine was down. Exit door on side of building lock was broken so anyone could access the hotel even if they weren’t staying there. So security wasn’t safe. We paid the extra fee to pay when we got to the hotel but got charged for the room before we ever got there which is not okay. And when we asked the front desk about it they said that’s just what they do. Which the hotels app clearly doesn’t say.

Great people. Building in complete disrepair. Elevators were broken and places falling apart

Staff was friendly and attentive. The pool needs to be cleaned. The water was green and there were tadpoles in it.

Elevator, ice machine and hot tub out of service. The pool was “closed for the season” but wasn’t open when I stayed here last summer either so I think they’re just selling hope. The howler head stand was malfunctioning and would not stay in the same spot, at one point it turned outside the shower curtain, while I was washing my face, and soaked the entire bathroom. The other elevator works but it was a sketchy ride up and down. I didn’t hate my stay entirely as there were the basics that I needed while I was there for work. However, I think it’s wrong for them to advertise amenities that aren’t available, as if they were. It also seems they care little for the condition of their establishment. One elevator was out of commission and the other was a sketchy ride both ways.

Ice machine broke except 1st floor, otherwise a good value

Pigeon nest with pigeon and eggs on the balcony, pool was algae infested, toilet didn’t full with enough water to flush properly, elevator door would not always close forcing you to use the stairs that had boxes piled in it and there was only an ice machine in the first floor. Juice at breakfast was very watered down, smell of pot pervasive in the halls.

They did not bother to tell us that the elevator was not working. So we took the stairs to the 3rd floor. In the first room we were put in, the A/C was not working. We got moved to a second room. The shower was not working and it did not have a hair dryer in the room. The front office called and woke me up to tell me that when I went to breakfast to stop by and sign a paper. When we changed rooms the lady told me that I didn't need to sign anything else. When I went done to check out I was told that I didn't have anything to sign!

Clean. However, several features such as pool and elevators are not operational.

I am leaving due to over 7 pubic hairs in the shower. I turned the shower on to take a shower and notice all that nastiness left behind. Thats horrible ill never be back. I have videos and over 7 pictures

AWFUL! When we got to the room the door was wide open. Laundry from the whole 2nd floor was right in the walk way. carpet in the rooms was dirty still and shower had hair from previous people. Tried calling the front twice and no answer. We had to leave and go to an event when we got back pulled back the sheets and bedding was dirty. Husband went to the front and asked for clean sheets and we would change them ourselves and 10 minutes later smoke alarm started beeping from low battery. Front desk didn’t seem to care when we told them so we left and had to go to a different hotel. Oh and the door barely latches and is very loose. I have pictures of it all

Bed was very very cheap and hard bathtub had hair and a spider in it and i am very scared of spiders then after drowning the spider. the shower didn't work had to wash my hair while kneeling in the tub where i had just drowned the spider. Hair dryer did work. oh bring your own pillows .the bath room was all rusted the floor around the tub and the faucets. First time i was ever disappointed in a best western. The room they gave me.I felt like a stepchild in the back of the castle

Quick check in process upon arrival. The elevators are a bit sketchy as they shake when operating. We were here for a quick move in trip for my college student so this hotel served its purpose but the room wasn’t very clean; there were 2 dirty cups left behind and a stained comforter that we didn’t use. Not as clean as we hoped. Free breakfast and coffee offered.

Room dirty, bathroom floor needed to be mopped, room needed to be vacuumed under tables and couches

The microwave and stove were dirty. The shower curtain had mold on it. Not very clean.

No room service completed. Carpets in room were completely damp entire stay. Sofa was filthy. Room smelled terrible.

BED BUGS !!!!!! Room 101 the bed had bed bugs and I took photos and videos of the bed bugs moving all over the pillows. I collected several of the bed bugs in a clear bag. I reported the incident immediately to the night shift desk clerk who also took photos of the bed bugs in the bag. I checked in on Friday October 23, 2025 at 3:30pm and discovered the bed bugs at 9:30pm. The desk clerk stated that he had no other rooms available and would notify his manager about the situation. I checked out after notifying the desk clerk. I called back the next day on Saturday October 24, 2025 and spoke to a desk clerk named Kimberly who was very rude and stated no refund would be issued because I booked the hotel through a 3rd party web site. I then asked to speak with her supervisor and Kimberly stated I don't know when the manager or owner will be here. She stated they come and go as they please and have no set schedule. Kimberly also refused to give me the name of the owner. Furthermore, the toilet had urine stains under the toilet seat. The owners never reached out to me to offer any kind of the compensation or vouchers. I made a complaint to the best western complaint line. They stated that the owner replied and stated no bed bugs were found and a 3rd party was used to book the hotel so no refund would be given. Of course there was no bed bugs found when YOUR staff looked. They had several days to fix the issues. Very poor hotel.

Mold is showing. stains on the comforter, when opening the sofa bed we discovered massive ugly stains on couch cushions.They could have been cleaned and not just flipped over. Shower walls and tub are in desperate need of a true cleaning and take the paint of the tub its peeling and looks ugly. Fix the fan,change the light bulb,and two useless switches in the restroom. Breakfast was reheated from the day before it was gross. This hotel used to be so well maintained and beautiful. This hotel is overpriced for what you get now,the rooms may be bigger but what you get is no different compare than a Motel 6.

Very dirty, first suite had beetles in it.

Staff was friendly. The beds were uncomfortable. The pillows were flat. You can hear the neighbors above and beside you. The rooms are a little outdated and you can smell the carpets. Good for a one night stay after a night out.

The rooms are very spacious, and have a separate bedroom (with a door) and quite a large kitchen area. Full size fridge, small stove, microwave. Dishes, pots and pans, utensils are not included, but were not expected. The pool has a slope entry and is decently sized. Breakfast is the standard fair, but the breakfast attendant was very unpleasant and she seemed like she was not happy with her job at all. For the spaciousness of the rooms, we would stay here again.

The room was big and comfortable. No air conditioning in the hallways so it was very hot. Our keys wouldn't work on the side doors had to use the main entrance every time

Stayed here a couple times. No frills, big spacious rooms, great bed, quiet, nice location. Easy check in and typical quick breakfast with good coffee. Will stay again!

Large room with 32 inch TV!! Need a 42 in at least for a room of that size. Also had a suite so very disappointed. Also no water pressure in shower

This is a bargain for the price. It’s a suite with a separate bedroom area. Lots of room. The only complaint is the “smart tv” that we can only get around 10 channels on. No movies, no regular TV stations. Lucky we at least got the bedroom TV to work.

The front desk staff is top notch! Rooms are great and the price was definitely worth it!

Mattress need to be replaced, you could feel the springs in the bed. We like this hotel and stay there often.

Hotel smelled and the lights would flicker. They were not stocked with their complimentary supplies. Tried calling down to ask a question and they would not answer. Called to see if they have found my missing AirPods and waited a long time before they picked up the phone.

Clean, Staff Friendly

I will say, that this property and hotel was nice overall. It was a good distance from things to do. Cleanliness wasn’t bad. But my hotel room, some of the lights didn’t work at all, I had called the front desk 2x about them and they said they would call the maintenance guy to come change out the light bulbs and NOBODY came.

Check in was fast and efficient and the room was very clean and relaxing. Great service, will definitely stay again as this was our first time here.

Very large room with plenty of space to relax. The checkin clerk Mari was especially welcoming.

When we arrived at the hotel the two people they had on staff were in the lobby laying in n the couch and playing on iPads. The elevators were in terrible condition, shaking and very loud going up. They didn’t even have a certificate posted saying when it was last serviced and by the sound of it, it’s been a good while. Got to the room and there were no bed linens. Called down to the front desk SIX times and no one ever answered. I walked down and the two people they had staffed were on the couch in the lobby playing on iPads. I asked them for linens and they had NO pillows. They did have a good continental breakfast, sadly, that was the only good thing about the hotel!

First I tried to check in early and there was a 10 per hour early fee then I went late to the front desk and got a few snacks asked him to bill them to the room immediately my phone starts going off I keep my card locked to it wouldn’t accept the payment he the front desk called us harassing me over$10 is ridiculousfrom about 4am til 7 am min

Like all the other Best Western hotels I have stayed in, have always found them friendly and comfortable. Prices are very reasonable and the Lubbock Best Western was in a good location for my journey. Well kept property and helpful staff.

Close proximity to dining

The location for this Best Western is very good. It's close to restaurants, shopping and some attractions. The hotel itself is very well kept. My room was spacious and very clean. This is the kind of accommodations I would love if I was staying for several days or more. The staff was excellent and they serve a hot breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.

Easy access, plenty of dining and shopping choices nearby

The location was good and the staff were very pleasant. The kitchenette was not useable as there was nothing to use. The sitting area was not very comfortable. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The bathroom was not well cleaned. I will probably not stay here again.

We had a nice, large room with 2 queen beds. The beds were really comfortable with great linens and pillows. The hotel is older, but has been updated. Breakfast was really good. I’d stay there again.

Shower head was corroded and no pressure. There for two nights and no turndown service AT ALL. And no, I didn’t have the DND sign up. The pool was dirty and very cold. Breakfast was not great: juices were watery, gravy for biscuits was watery, and eggs and sausage were lukewarm. I have a reservation for November, I really hope they improve the situation.

We liked the location and the staff was very friendly. The facilities and the room were very clean. The breakfast was excellent. The elevator in our building did not work and the bed was a little firm for us. But overall it was a good stay.

Back door would not open from either side. Room coffee machine would not work. Coffee at breakfast was clear as water. Absolutely not worth the money!

great front desk service,very fast and friendly, breakfast was late saturday morning not a good thing when we pick this place bc of the 6 am breakfast. being there for softball tournaments, breakfast is a big thing for us.Room was clean and comfy as always.

Clean great bed, pillows need updating,so does the shower and tub. More water press would be nice ,water was hot. Breakfast could be better,water down juices. Everything has been updated except the breakfast
