Obviously their version of clean is much different from our version of clean. We brought Lysol wipes thankfully and wiped everything down ourselves. There was a 1/2 inch gap under the door for bugs to come in. At night we pushed a towel under the door to seal the gap so bugs could not enter. We killed 6 roaches during our stay, that is a first in our many years of traveling. There was so much noise that I called the front desk at 1 am on the first night. I was told that I would have to personally call the police to get the problem resolved. I have never dealt with an establishment that even suggested I do that. The First off, the advertising specifically states that there is a fitness center on the property. When the question was asked, “where is the fitness center?” The Ramada staff member said there isn’t one and Travelocity must have used false advertising and it’s not the first time we’ve seen this happen with Travelocity. I googled their personal add online with also specifically stated that there was a 24 hour fitness center. The pool had so many unsupervised kids screaming we couldn’t get in the pool until the afternoon before we left. We would have left if we could have gotten a refund. It was motel that needs updating from the 70’s, dirty, unsupervised, noisy and it ruined our stay. We will never stay there again without question.

There for 8 days, only saw room service on our last day when we had to ask for toilet paper. Had four guests, only provided three towels and getting another one felt like we were asking for a grand guesture. Asked for a blanket for the sofa bed-did not have one. The lines at breakfast were horrendous. They need another waffle maker. Breakfast was not good. The location to the beach is great-don’t follow Google maps- they have thier own boardwalk with showers near the hotel area. Grill is a coal grill. Pool needs more seating. Haha-laundry-the ones that work have signs telling you they work.

They had plenty of parking and room was good. The only thing was I asked for my room to be serviced bed made and new towels which never got done. Stayed 3 days. Two persons you tend to need those things.

The room was actually clean until we saw that there were remains of French fries. We didn't sleep at night because there were cockroaches on the beds and on the floor, and at night they disconnect the phones so you don't call the office.

This was one of the worst days I have ever encountered because upon arrival there were blood stains on the curtain and there were multiple insects and cockroaches all over the room, including in the microwave and the bathroom was a mess and there was also insects and bugs on our bed as well but the staff was very accommodating

We reserved a king suite which is what we got, but it was a disappointment. There was a whirlpool tub, which did not work which we found out about after we waited for 1/2 hour to fill it. The water faucet ran very slowly. There was no notice that it was out of order! Our king bed had 4 small pillows on it, smaller than standard size. The bathroom needed an update. Cracked, patched, tiles by on the walls. Toilet paper holders all gross looking, pitted and discolored. The mirror above the vanity was all speckled with black dots so it didn’t pay to even look in it. Barren walls throughout. On a bright note, it was clean. A real disappointment for a Radison!

The room we got was big enough for our family of five. There were 3 beds and a pull out couch. It had a kitchenette and good sized fridge. The beach was a 3 minute walk and the staff is friendly. We wanted to stay an extra night and they accommodated us quickly. Will definitely stay again.

The room itself was nice, spacious, and clean. The staff were friendly and we felt safe. However, the thermostat in our room did not work so we were unable to adjust the temperature of the room…we were freezing cold the entire trip. I tried to call the front desk to let them know but the phone didn’t work. For two days we could only take cold showers because there was no hot water in the shower, at all. I walked to the front desk and informed them of the issues about 15 minutes of checking in, but apparently they were unable to fix any of the issues, and they didn’t offer anything such as a discount on the room for the inconvenience of being uncomfortable.

I didn’t really like how there was a gap at the bottom of the door so when people passed by you could hear them talking while in the room. I was woken up for the two days I was there because of the people running up stairs that was annoying but not really the hotels fault but all else was nice.

The accommodation are adequate. The pull out couch was well stained but the rest of the room was clean and comfortable. The only thing we did not like was we could not get the internet in our room. The locks on the door had been broken off but dead bolted.

Room was decent nothing fancy, Efficiency Room was big. But still don’t cool off has much as I would have liked it to be. Kitchenette/ Bathroom Area was warm. Beds were comfortable, but better pillows would have complete the comfortably.

Loved the location since it was walking distance to the beach. Breakfast was pretty good and we all loved the waffles. The only thing was wifi wasnt good in the back so we didn't get to use it. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would come back.

I enjoyed my stay so much. I stayed several days longer. The staff was amazing, chef Luis making breakfast for all was a treat. Nice view of the ocean and walkable to most everything. Highly recommend

The guy who gave me the card key for the room made a horrible mistake. When I got inside the room there were people sleeping in the room and when the lady got scared I heard people voice and I left the room, but the husband was coming in. Total mess the night. I told the guy "I am sorry, this key was given to me on the check in"

This is a great place to stay! Nice clean big rooms and a nice pool area! Luis at breakfast is the coolest! Freddy at the front desk and the rest were very friendly too. We loved it here and will be back :)

The first room I got was occupied. We actually walked in the room and saw the other people’s belongings. We did get a different room. When we left for about 1-2 hours someone entered our room and went through our things, threw some things out of a bag, and let my dogs out of the kennel. SMDH!!!!

We stayed at the Ramada by Wyndham in South Padre Island and had a pleasant experience overall. The hotel was clean, well-maintained, and the staff was very attentive and friendly. The rooms were spotless and well-equipped, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The property also offers a convenient and short access path to the beach, which was a big plus. There is an à la carte restaurant on-site (not included in the room price), but it has a wide and varied menu. The hotel also provides a basic breakfast, which is included, and the parking area is spacious. One detail that could be improved was the outdoor shower near the entrance from the beach- it was quite dirty and there was only one, with very little water pressure. However, aside from that, everything else was great. Prices are a bit higher during high season, but overall, it was worth it. We truly appreciated the excellent service.

Warning! I had a valid reservation and I got there on time and I was told that my reservation was canceled because they couldn't reach me by phone. No idea why they needed to reach me by phone when I had already talked to them on the phone but the truth is I came for the SpaceX launch and I got a cheap room so they canceled me and resold the room at a much higher rate which left me in a busy City with no room. They told me they don't care about travelocities policies they have their own. Warning

The room next door played loud music late into the night. I think parents left their kids alone in the room alone. Lots of screaming and loud music. Complained to front desk. Nothing done. Called again 3x, they did not answer phone. Didnt sleep, had to leave at 5:00 in the morning. Complained at check out. Was told we could've called the State Troopers! Really? They didn't care at all. Won't stay there again. Also, our room didn't work. Was told didn't need it since we had cell phones! Wow, need customer service training, big time!

The guests were allowed to stay in the pool, playing their loud music until well past "Quiet Time" as indicated on a sign next to the lobby front door and in several locations thought the property. The guests directly above our room sound like they were having an Elephant Parade or they were fighting and throwing furniture lthis started at about 9PM and lasted until about 1:30AM. The guests next door turned the handicapped parking into a jump rope contest for the kids while 9 or 10 adults watched and cheered them on. I called the front desk at about 11:30PM and they told me to call the local police and that they were calling the police as well. Seriously? We were unable to go to sleep until after 1:45AM. The only positive thing was the man that cooked the waffles each morning. He was very nice and he sang to each guest as he cooked their waffle. At $170/night we definitely expected better. We go to South Padre Island, TX at least 4 times every year and will NEVER stay there again or at any Ramada anywhere!

The employees were nice. The room was clean. There was only one face towel in the room when we arrived. There was one mini Dove soap bar in the room., Check out was quick and simple. Easy access to the Beach. Yes I would go there again.

The staff were all very nice. Breakfast was good, but would be better if they had things like bacon, sausage, and scrambled eggs. Breakfast is mostly waffles and a selection of cereals, pastries, etc. Room was very spacious and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. The hotel parking lot is connected to a beach access walkway, so it's just a quick walk down to the beach! Convenient souvenir shopping nearby and an easy enough walk to some nearby restaurants. Room didn't have a tub stopper or an ice bucket.

average stay would not stay here again. would pay a little extra more for a different hotel. my family and i visited for the weekend. total of 5 (policy states max ppl in room is 5) only 3 towels in the room, when i asked for more i had to bring the dirty ones in exchange for new ones. it was an inconvenience due to 2 of my kids were using 2 of them by the pool while i needed another 2 to shower. one travel shampoo,conditioner and lotion were provided for 5 people liked the pool alrea,a section for adults, kids and the hot tub. not enough chairs and tables outside. parking was okay, you leave you loose your parking across your room. breakfast time, someone helps you with the waffles . the amount of times i’ve visited hotels and people don’t know how to use the waffle machine or leave it unattended . i forgot the man’s name but he was super sweet, very friendly helping as much as he could. he’s the reason this review wasn’t poor.

The whole hotel is old fashioned and unkept! The furnishings are old, the beddings were torn and old! There was no comforter the tv is very small! Breakfast is nearly impossible to get and not worth the wait! Staff and housekeepers are rude and not helpful at all! This is a pit of hell that I won’t be staying at again!

Hotel was clean and stacked w/ towels and everything seemed to be in place. The only thing but nothing serious is tje ac unit was leaking water and had a little puddle on floor. Has a bbq area with picnic tables so that is a plus and beach access is right there.

Loved the location since it was walking distance to the beach. Breakfast was pretty good and we all loved the waffles. The only thing was wifi wasnt good in the back so we didn't get to use it. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would come back.

For the size and popularity of the hotel, there should be three or four waffle makers instead of a line going around the room. At least there was a hardworking, cheerful employee manning the one machine making it as efficient as possible. The cranberry juice dispenser had some sort or orange colored watery beverage in it. There was no fruit left with lots of time before the end of breakfast. No cream cheese for bagels.

Ran into a situation where we went to the front desk to ask for utensils. A simple request. The guy working the desk told my daughter to go inside the restaurant and ask for them. The restaurant worker told her that there was going to be a $.25 charge per utensil. I went into the front desk and spoke to the gentleman myself, and he told me that he didn’t have any more utensils and that it would be my job to go in the restaurant and request them. When I told him that I shouldn’t have to pay for utensils he had no reply. I asked him if it was accurate to say that utensils are free in the morning when there’s breakfast, but there’s a charge for them at night. He looked at me and said yes. I asked him multiple times to make this right or that I was going to complain. He refused. My daughter went into the restaurant with a Dollar and asked for utensils. They were charging her $1.08 and that if she wanted a receipt they would have to add Tax. We got the utensils and we spoke to the front desk in the morning and COMPLAINED. The front desk told me that I was correct. I should not be charged for utensils nor should I have had to go in the restaurant and get them. I was refunded the money and given an email address to send in the Complaint to management. I requested a response in my email and after seven days, I never got one. Other than that, we had a good time as always at this property.
