Super 8 by Wyndham Temple S General Bruce

If you want a safe & quiet place GO HERE. Yeah u pay a little more but the rooms r VERY CLEAN & THE LADYS BEHIND THE DESK ARE VERY FRIENDLY. The manager he's got some beautiful eyes. JUST SAYEN. The breakfast is good. Awesome waffles & very filling. I would stay there again no questions asked. ONLY THIS ON OFF OF I 35. NICE clean swimming pool.

Great pool

You won't find a nicer place with a very nice pool and great exercise room for a better price. Not much within walking distance but extremely convenient for driving

The "gym" was not operable, and a couple of the doors to the gym were held shut with screws. The pool is outdoor and not heated. The breakfast was lacking, but I came for the waffles, and they were great. The room was clean and comfortable. The area where the hotel was a little sketch, but overall it was a nice stay for the low price.

The Hostess checking us in was friendly and efficient. She gave us a room closer to the Exercise Room, which we were planning to use after a long day of driving. This gesture on top of being able to park right outside our room was super convenient. There was no treadmill, the elliptical could not be adjusted, neither could the lat pull-down machine. There were no weights to use with the weight bench. It did not live up to the on-line promise of a gym, one of the reasons we chose this property. Reaching the property from the freeway was confusing, even using Google Maps.

The hotel was very clean & comfortable, parking lot is lite & clean. Good cafe just adjacent to hotel

My stay was great. The room was clean and quiet. Service was great also. The only problem i found was one of the Ice machine didn't work at my building . Over all inexpensive and enjoyed my stay

The only negative thing I can say, was that ice machine in our building, (south building) was not working. The machine in the North building was, and able to get ice there. Was better value than most motels.

One of the buildings is undergoing renovations, so some of the work crew were coming and going at various time. We had a problem where a trailer blocked our parking area, but they were notified and rectified the situation. Other than that, it was good.

Dirty, bed linens were about the only thing clean. Hair in shower, toilet dirty, floor not swept or mopped. Dirt around a/c top. Dusty. Just filthy. Sad.

Room was filthy. The bed linens had stains all over them and were ripped up and torn. There were roaches everywhere (bathtub, counters, nightstand...one even crawled in my coffee). There was someone elses wine or blood splashed all iver the bathroom floor and brown liquid splashed on the walls. The breakfast also seemed unsanitary (old, rotten hard boiled eggs in an open bowl). It was disgusting, especially for $70 a night.

Full layer of dust under the beds. Found an onion under one of the beds. Bathroom not clean, hair stuck in the bathtub area. Looked like there was blood on the bathroom door. Toilet seat was pealing. Over all it felt like a pretty unsafe area.

The housekeeping ladies were very thorough when they came to clean. The bed linen and bathroom were spotless.

Our son noticed a cockroach running out of his bed sheets, floor has dirt and trash everywhere. It didn’t look like it had been cleaned in months. Bedspread was covered in cigarette burns, toilet seat was completely unattached, walls were covered in blood stains, and the area had so many people outside drinking and smoking. When we told the front desk about the issue they sent us to another room. We were immediately greeted with a massive smell of weed. We checked out and drove up to Waco instead. I would avoid this place at all costs. The issue are obviously not being taken care of as many I mentioned above have been mentioned for well over a year. They are still disgusting and I feel bad for the Super 8 chain because this location is an absolute disappointment!

We booked two rooms for May 23, checking out May 24. We were in rooms 104 and 105. Room 105 for myself and 104 for my son and his wife. My son's room looked ok at the start, but after my daughter in law walked across the floor in her white socks we saw a huge problem. The floor was filthy. They didn't feel comfortable even walking across the floor and put down towels to walk on. Very disappointed in that aspect. At checkout I showed the socks to the desk clerk who said she would notify the manager. She made sure my telephone number was available. I had hoped for a call to discuss the issue. That didn't happen. In lieu of no discussion I felt compelled to leave this review.

I would avoid staying here again. The pros were that the bed was clean and pretty comfortable and that the room had a microwave. The cons were that the room could have been cleaned more thoroughly you could tell that the floors weren't mopped recently and the surfaces felt grimy. The shower was dripping all night and the whole property was not well cared for. Overall it was not a very pleasant experience.

Basic, simple, but clean and well-maintained property at an excellent price. It is of the older "motel style" design with the rooms opening directly to the outdoors. This worked out really well for our trip, as we had come to Temple for the solar eclipse. We were able to set up our folding chairs and camera tripods right outside our room. The bed was comfortable, the shower worked well with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. We were on the bottom floor, but we experienced no problems at all with noise from either upstairs or next door. The free breakfast was basic, but adequate for that morning cup of coffee or a little something in my stomach to hold me until my late-sleeping spouse got up. A workout room in a separate building provides access to a small, well-maintained outdoor pool. We did not get to try the pool, as it was April and the water was still quite chilly. The location is along a major highway, but the office/lobby building is closest to the freeway, while the actual rooms are set back a ways, so that highway noise was not an issue. The nearby businesses are mostly car dealerships, which do not stay open very late, making for a very quiet environment at night. There is an excellent Mexican restaurant right next to the hotel, which seemed to be be very popular, and which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. All in all, a good budget choice for a clean, quiet place to sleep.

This is an older motel, some things could use a bit of maintenance, but nothing seriously wrong. It was clean. Bed was very comfortable, and there were 4 good pillows on each bed. I especially liked that the flooring was not carpet. TV program choices were poor, and has a primitive non-interactive guide channel. Internet seemed slow.

Where to start. AC was basically broken, wouldn’t go below 78. Guests hanging outside their rooms listening to music made it hard to sleep. Felt unsafe. Room was dirty.. from the floor, walls, everything. Freezer in fridge didn’t work. Seems there are a lot of people living at the hotel. Breakfast was typical but decent. Staff was nice. Gym was dirty.

Beautifully remodeled room. Plentiful hot water & good water pressure. Bed was super hard & sadly air conditioner clanked all night. Breakfast was bare bones . Front desk woman was delightful

The next morning went to front office to tell them about the issue and instead of the frint desk manager just simply saying I will get maintenance to check it. She tells me it was my error. Well what was the excuse for the two workers that couldn't help me get it going. She said one of them was new and didn't know what the problem was with the other clerk. She had a nasty disposition not fit for management. No disrespect to any profession but with her attitude she needs to be in the back washing dishes. Maintenance came and was able to see exactly what the issue was He was quiet helpful but too late as it was just a one night stay. Respect goes a long way and in order to get it you definitely have to have sense enough to give it.

The swing-bar type door lock was inoperable due to the door-mounted component being removed. The air conditioning was improperly assembled/installed, one side was hanging loose while the other side was secure, one of the two filters was not present, and the compressor made a loud noise when running. Wifi worked well, shower worked well.

The property and room was as expected. Older AC unit that shuts off and on, kinda annoying but it was working. Room was humid. Shower did not get hot but we were hot from moving all day so it was just ok.

Room was a bit dark and bathtub drain stopper didn’t work, but staff was pleasant and accommodating. Breakfast could be a little more. Waffles and toast, yogurt and hard boiled eggs. That’s a little disappointing.

Room was freshly updated and modern. Clean room,felt safe and restaurant next door.

Everything was fine except the young lady who checked me in. Not very friendly or interested. I have stayed here twice before and the young lady who checked me in those two times was cheerful, nice and helpful.

The two African American women who work the front desk are wonderful. They welcome us and remmeber us. We have stayed at this location five times in the past year - all were great experiences.

When I was checking in they waited on someone else that wasn't in line ahead of me before helping me. Then when I went to get a clean towel. The girl at the desk originally refused to give me one without me finding her I the darkto give her the dirty one after asking if my room was serviced . Which it wasn't and we weren't given clean towels. I told them keep their towels.

They wanted me to change my own light bulb when it went out in the bathroom. When the microwave wouldn't work they told me to fix it. I don't recommend staying here . And won't be staying here again

Lights were out in entrance & tub area. Day Mgr. did not make these things right. Night Mgr. took care of all issues. Day Mgr. Said only 3 towels per room. 4 of us. Night Mgr met our needs. Night Mgr gets 5 stars & Day Mgr gets 2 stars.

It was difficult to find the driveway into the office from the feeder road! Also the parking lot pavement was rough and not paved well or easy to maneuver.

It’s close to home & close to restaurants & shops.Highway are close and accessible .

Super 8 was easy to go to from Hyw 35. Office personnel were very courteous both on arrival and checkout. The hotel was close to Belton, Tx., our destination.

The Good, the bed was comfortable. The Bad, the tub is very slippery so be very careful when you shower. I almost fell. The toilet is the smallest toilet seat I've ever encountered! The amount saved on a tiny toilet seat can't be very much. Breakfast was the omnipresent Texas shaped waffle, toast, orange juice and coffee. To advertise "Breakfast" is somewhat misleading. Perhaps the owners can squeeze a penny from a turnip.

I was surprised by my stay. My past several visits to hotels in this price range have not been good experiences. So I was impressed by just how clean and well maintained everything was. I did not worry about security at this location and even the pool was clean and in good order. Breakfast would have been good but there was no sausage, eggs, or any other protein so I had to look elsewhere.

The room was great, the building is under renovation, and A/c was cold. We enjoyed the breakfast, great coffee, yogurts and waffles.

It's only good for someone who needs a place to sleep over the night. The breakfast wasn't really a breakfast.

No Breakfast. 8:15 am there was no coffee, no milk, no orange juice. THERE WAS 2 pieces of sandwich bread, 2 yougurts left and a pile of apples. Very disappointed.
