Fairfield Inn & Suites Tyler

Pool very run down cracks in the bottom of the pool and ladders cracked. Hot tub had slime floating in it and didn't work. The ceiling tiles were falling down. In our room half the plugs didn't work, the bathroom light above the mirror only flickered on for a second and then turns off. The plugs covers falling off the wall and the plugs themselves loose. Staff was great and polite.

Pool and hot tub out of order and property is not very appealing.

I booked the property specifically for the fact that they had an hot tub that I planned to use upon arrival from a long day of work and travel. When I arrived I asked about it and was told it was not working. The hallways were hot. The elevator was very hot and smelled like tar. Pool was comfortable to swim in. Breakfast was so/so. Lots of toppings for oatmeal and maybe yogurt, but only vanilla flavor yogurt? Scrambled Eggs, 4 different salsas, shredded cheese, scones, bagel, toast, turkey sausage or Canadian bacon were the meat choices. Not regular sausage or bacon. Strange. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Everyone was top notch. Room was large and comfortable. Shower had a used bar of soap in it. The facility itself makes me not want to visit another hotel in this line of properties.

The main reason we stayed was to swim for my son. The front desk said the pool had been down for cleaning for several days, and same with the hot tub. We looked through the door and everything appeared normal with water in both.

The property is under renovation. The toilet leaked,dirty towel left in the bathroom. Room was not cleaned on Saturday, asked for clran towelss, when returned no clran towels, had to go back to the desk.

They are doing renovations and the hotel is very dirty and rundown.

The ice machine was broken. The air conditioner in lounge and food area was not working. There was a bug on my pillow when I woke up. Paige in reception was excellent!!!

Floor felt like it was about to fall in. When we got orange juice from the dispenser, 5 baby flies were in the juice. When I told the kitchen staff, she just ran juice through the dispenser. Told the front desk and she just told the kitchen again who ran juice again. Did not clean spout. One of the reasons we chose this location was due to indoor pool. Pool was closed. they claim it is on the website that it is closed, but we did not see it.

Good place to stay, offered a nice breakfast and clean rooms. They’re remodeling so it was a work in progress but overall a good pick.

Comfortable, safe, clean, good breakfast and good staff. I think that sums it all!!

The staff was friendly. The room was OK. The AC & fridge were off when I entered the room; so the room smelled REALLY bad. (In TX heat, you need to have the AC running just a little). The fire alarm was chirping & the room keys would not stay programmed. (The staff didn't offer to change rooms when the keys wouldn't stay programmed). There were a few holes on the sheets. The batheoom lighting was DARK & there were men's dirty clothes in the closet. I actually looked for another hotel to stay at, but couldn't justify losing the money I spent on this room for 2 nights.

Property definitely needs work. Felt gross staying there

The staff was friendly and courteous upon check-in I was asked if I wanted room service during my stay I advised I would; Room was never cleaned until my husband asked the front desk if we could have room cleaned.

Very clean spacious room with a kind courteous staff at an excellent price point. What’s not to love!!

Nice staff. It’s an older hotel and in pretty good shape. Great shower! A/C worked well. Our sink backed up but, if left several hours the standing water eventually went out. Unfortunately, there was no cream for coffee on a Sunday morning.

Bed mattress was a little old, we didn’t get our clean towels we had to go get them, key stopped working after the first day.

Overall it was ok. The room we stayed in on the 2nd floor had a lot of soft spots like the floor was sinking. Tub didnt want to drain.

Great beds and pillows. Very comfortable, clean. Great breakfast. Very kind staff.

I was truly excited about this Stay at this hotel with it being a Marriott location I was expecting great customer service and a very nice room and overall good experience. What I received instead was Nightmare. Upon check-in, the front desk clerk proceeded to write my Card number down because he said he could not complete my check-in and charge me on the terminal that he was working with. After Green to that and completing my check-in without actually being checked in, I received my keys and went to my room an hour later someone else came into my room As a single woman traveling alone, I found this experience to be very frightening after having a man in my room that I did not know I perceived to pack my items so that I could vacate the room. Upon speaking with the desk clerk, I was informed that there was new management that had taken over the property just the day before. He was reluctant to give me any contact information and did not want to cancel my room after the inconvenience that was caused to me I did not feel safe staying in a room, for fear of someone else entering my room without my permission when I left the hotel I do not feel as if the situation was resolved. I was informed that I would receive a confirmation email for the cancellation of my stay and I have as of yet to receive this email I asked for the names and contact information of the people who are now managing the hotel and he reluctantly gave me that information he wrote down the name in the email

We will definitely stay again. Good honest employees. We left behind a necklace and they have it at the front desk. Paige was great at the front desk!

The front desk lady was The Best! The beds werw comfy. The room was clean! We had a Great experience here! The breakfast buffet was delicious and had so much to choose from!

When i arrived after full day of travel they said they did not have a room for me. I was shocked! I said I went through Expedia paid and reserved my one week stay they said they don’t guarantee rooms through 3rd party vendors!! I was livid and shocked. They said they would have to charge me again and I said you are kidding me. The front desk person said she will talk to the manager. Very sketchy there. I didn’t feel safe.

We had reservations two weeks in Advance. When we got there we were told they were canceled due to a water leak. They sent an email earlier that day, but I did not have a chance to read it. It was a busy weekend in that location due to multiple events taking place. They would not find us another place. They only gave us names of other places nearby. We had to find a place on our own. By this time it was evening. So frustrating. Had to settle for a substandard hotel or sleep in the car. Bottom line a phone call or text have been be. At less we could have driven to the next town or had more time to find something else

Front desk was great - highly recommend

I was lied to several times. The staff didn’t seem to know how to handle any problems, and the maintenance person was really slow and still didn’t fix the problem.

This place sucks! Unprofessional. Dirty. Smelly. Ice machine broke. Swimming pool closed for repairs. They gave my prepaid room to someone else and charged me again. It was 1:00am and all we wanted was to sleep. Swindlers!

This was one of the best hotels that we have stayed at. The facility, courteous staff, the room, THE BED, and location, all perfect. I can’t say enough good things about this hotel except it was PERFECT! This will be our hotel whenever we are here in town. Thank you for an exceptional stay!!

There was problems with the room key card working. The beds was hard and uncomfortable to sleep. Wasn't pleased with breakfast. The premade waffles was hard and wasn't any syrup available. I have stayed at many hotels and sadly, this was my worsed experience. I wont stay at this hotel in our future vacations.

The physical building is in very bad shape. Our bathtub would not drain so you stood in ankle deep water while showering. The tub had been painted at some point and was peeling in large spots...looked very dingy and was not clean upon arrival. We had broken tile in the bathroom that was just sitting on the floor. The AC never worked properly to keep the room cool. The first night we had to leave the window open in order to keep cool. The breakfast was substandard...the coffee was awful and we had a muffin that was dry and hard for breakfast the last morning. The rooms are not in good condition, we had framed photos on the wall that had the pain peeling off the frames. Upon leaving we find out that we are charged $3 a day to park our vehicle. It was a dump and not at all worth what we paid to stay there.
