Excellent location. Friendly staff. Lots of parking.

This was an awesome stay, I would definitely stay here again. I was attending a concert nearby, I’ve stayed in multiple places and this was one of the best ones. The staff was friendly and my room was clean and quiet. Parking was easy and included in the price. I usually like to be left alone so this was perfect. Will be back for sure!

Overall a decent stay. The staff was great. The property is a little run down and needs an update. Room was a good size and clean. Kitchenette was nice and had a lot of items to use. For a $154 room though, I was a bit disappointed. Here's why: There was no ice machine that I could find for our stay. The sofa bed had a small twin sized mattress when I believe the listing said queen. The in-wall fan that was supposed to pull in AC air into the bedroom was not functional in our room. Bathroom needs an exhaust fan to pull out the moisture from showers.

Front desk person, while a truly nice person, should not be working a front desk at hotel. All communication and transaction took place while Veronica was behind a wall and you could not see her. She came up to obtain my license then went back behind a wall. Entire check in process handled this manner. Veronica is also overworked with too many hours in a shift from my understanding. Hotel, used stairwell and elevator. Carpet in stairwell has many stains which looked like food stains and had been there for quite some time. One of the buttons in the elevator has depressed into the space of the elevator panel. Room, bed linens were not changed. There were hairs from prior person on both pillows and in the bed. The bathroom shower knobs horrible state of condition. No tub shower curtain, water all over floor after shower. The ceiling of room has water damage and it looks like it's peeling. Needless to say, while I did shower there, I ended up not staying n the room to sleep, but went to a friends to sleep in their guest room. I went to check out, no one at front desk, called to check out. My stay was a Saturday evening. The location is in a nice area from what I can tell. I like that it's tucked away from the hustle and bustle. There is plenty of parking. There is an onsite gym and laundry facility, both of which I did not use. They offer wifi with the stay, which I did not use. They offer free coffee in the morning near the front desk check in, I did not use.

Candlewood suites offers a nice place to stay for several days. We appreciated the kitchen set up, the microwave, popcorn, the ice machine that worked, and dishes stocked. We liked the little store and also the ability to “check out” other small appliances and games.

There was no breakfast served, but there were several restaurants in the vicinity. The staff were friendly and efficient.

I thought the lobby smelled bad but then I got to my room which seemed UNBELIEVABLY BAD. Sheets were dirty. Just disgusting.

Stair carpets need cleaning, changing

I've been staying here 5 years in a row when I come to Washington, D.C. The rooms are always clean. The front desk clerk for the weekends, Vanessa, it's always friendly and helpful should you need anything.

The morning after I checked in, there was a small ant walking across the bathroom floor -- not a big deal. I took a shower, and when I got out, there was a second ant cruising the toilet seat -- odd. I then ordered a meal for delivery from a local restaurant, ate, then unexpectedly fell back asleep, exhausted from traveling. When I woke up a few hours later, there were ants swarming my bedside table, where I'd left an iced tea that had a lid on it. Then I found an ant running across the sheets. I immediately checked out.

Floors peeling up enough that they stick to your feet and lift up in the kitchen. Bathroom smelt like urine and I used the provided dish soap to scrub the bathroom that was cover in hair and dirt ECT all over the baseboards. I would not recommend this place.

Older property that shows some age. However, clean, convenient

Rooms were nice. Huge desk in the room! Good stop for the price.

It’s nice to have a kitchenette, but some of the rooms smell strongly of previous guests cooking. And it should be noted that many of the guests are longer term tenants and the sound insulation in the doors isn’t great.

The property is a bit long in the tooth and could use updating. I found the colors dreary. My suite was very spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The refrigerator fan rattled noisily, if I stayed a second night I would have unplugged it or moved rooms. The suite was very roomy with a kitchenette, soda recliner, large table for working and eating. The bedroom was small but very functional. I would stay again because it is a great value for the money.

We really enjoy having a living room and kitchen when visiting family

Tv had color issues, coffee spilt on the back of bathroom door, toilet ran through the night, sink does not drain well.

I stayed in the one br suite for 7days it was really nice, comfortable and convenient!

TV did not work, turned on but no connection to cable system. Not good.

I stayed here with my mom for a long weekend (Friday-Sunday). My mom and I were impressed with the size of the suite and everything that was included. The room was clean and the kitchen was well equipped for making a meal (we didn't need to). The check-in process was so quick and the staff were very nice. I slept on the sofa bed and it was ok for a couple of nights. It was close to all of the major stores and restaurants. And only a 30-minute drive to D.C. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants an apartment feel instead of a hotel room.

The staff didn't appear to like their job. They weren't interested in helping the guests.

The management staff was the best part of the stay. Everything else was a close second, but terrific nevertheless!

The room was lovely! The young lady that checked me in couldn’t have been nicer and more welcoming. I would highly recommend this property, you won’t be disappointed.

Only stayed for one night. Staff is friendly, room is clean, but the lobby area itself is cold (not temperature) and unwelcoming. Location is right next to Fair Oaks Mall, plenty of restaurants within a short drive.

First time staying in a IHG property and it was nice. Mainly stayed there because of family. I usually stay a Hilton property's, which provide a morning breakfast and is included.
