Our stay was great! Loved the feel of the hotel. It felt very clean and airy. Our only complaint is that the pool was COLD. We were very excited to swim but it was too cold in the indoor pool. Otherwise, it was a really great stay!

The breakfast was not that great. The eggs had alot of water. Not much variety. And we had to park out back until the dance was over. But the staff was great, lobby was clean etc. Room was fine for what we needed.

Pool was FILTHY! (and cold, but "cold" is OK-ish). There were black scales/ashes/something all over the pool deck, in the water, on the chairs....EVERYWHERE! And not just the first day I was there - through my entire stay. I refused to go into the water, and the "indoor pool" was the main reason I chose Bella Vista over other hotels. I paid a higher price in hopes of being able to relax by an indoor pool. Was TOTALLY UNSATISFACTORY.

Hotel is going thru extensive renovations. No noise but no real amenities. Restaurant only serves buffet breakfast which is set out and left. The first days in our stay my husband and I didn’t encounter another guest. It was like deserted. We wanted to switch to a suite but were told they were full. Strange cause our car was the only one in the parking lot other than the workers. We chose this hotel because we stayed there 15ish years ago when it was the kirkley. And a lot has changed. As of right now there is no bar, no soda machine or anywhere in the hotel to get a snack after breakfast ends at 11am. The room we were given was spacious to the point of being sparse. No art on the walls. A area where curtains should go but no curtains just blinds. The room seemed so empty that the bathroom being so small that I could put my feet up on the tub as I sat on the toilet AND brush my teeth in the sink at the same time was comical if it wasn’t so claustrophobic. The staff were awesome and the bed was very comfortable. I’m sure once it’s completed it will be great. So far the renovations seem very “trendy”.

Our check in experience was great, everything else not so great. The AC was extremely loud and rattled all night, the room was okay at first glance but the craftsmanship of the remodel was really poorly done and made the room look dirty. The parking is minimal so don’t plan on a late night or your parking on the street.

Restaurant was shut down, breakfast buffet was ok but scattered around and the worst part was the pool was ice cold. Rooms were ok but the caulking looked amateur at best. Basically this is a motel with lipstick on a pig. would not stay here again

Overall it was a really good stay. The price was very reasonable and the recent renovations appear to have been completed giving the hotel a fresh, new look. Everything is clean and new. The only thing left is the restaurant which is still closed but they have another room where they served a decent hot breakfast which was included. Overall, I would recommend this hotel and we will be staying here again!

The staff was tremendous . So kind and attentive. The hotel just went through a renovation . It’s very pretty . The restaurant/bar area is still not open as of November 2023. It’s expected to be back open in December . The only minor call outs would be the coffee (not great ) and the bed bases are made of a hollow metal . You constantly accidentally kick it. It bangs like a gong . Overall a GREAT value .

First off the staff was so nice. Very helpful and accommodating. They let us check in early. Help with transportation questions ect. The hotel is beautiful. There is a restaurant attached but we only had dessert. The Belgium chocolate mousse was excellent. The bathroom was not clean. I cleaned it myself. And the last night the toilet backed up.That was the only negatives. If the bathroom was clean i would have given a higher rating.

The front desk staff was so nice and helpful but the rooms were dirty and in poor repair. I had to change rooms once and would have done it a second time but it was so late when I checked in. There were dirty dishes in the sink and food on the wall

Glad we stayed for only one night. The room bathroom floors were dirty and the mattress was super firm. The room did not have a mirror besides the small one in the bathroom and you cannot control the room temp. However, the hotel decor, and grounds were immaculate. The ladies who worked second shift during my stay 10/22/23 were really polite and helpful. I would recommend you stay if the price is right and your not looking for comfort

This hotel was nicely updated at some point in the past, and has had no maintenance since then. Crumbling siding outside, scuffed walls, old grout. Housekeeping falls a bit short as well. The beds were clean and comfortable, though they didn’t have enough pillows, and there was a lot of dust in the bathroom and bedroom. The place was quiet and secure, and comfortable once the lights were turned off. I did love the big bath towels in the bathroom.

The room had snacks still from the previous guest. Some bugs were present in the bathroom. Breakfast was good but some items were not restocked. Parking was not plentiful enough. Smoking was allowed right outside the front door. You had to walk right through it to get in the entrance. Nice budget hotel. Safe. No frills.

Overall this hotel is fine. They are remodeling it but my room was very bare, the bed was uncomfortable and they only offer PlutoTV so no real tv. I think the hotel is fine as a 2/3 star hotel.

Staff very friendly, polite, accomodating. Very clean premises and nicely equipped gym. Decorated in a European style flair, very pleasing. Accessible room was very large and comfortable, however, there was no iron,and only a standalone rack to hang chlothing items (should definitely consider a wardrobe to fill large amount of empty space)! The bathroom had NO counterspace AT ALL with only a standalone sink...had to store toiletries on table in room and on top of dresser. One of the bedside table lamps had rust spots all along the shade that was supported by metal spines, probably due to the low flow ventilation system that leaves dampness in the entire room after a hot shower. The bed was supoorted by a metal platform that reverberated with a loud, hollow echo each it was unavoidably kicked as the bed is approached. I was impressed with the staff's responsiveness to requests for extra towels and pillows. The bedding and towels were very comfortable, along with almost instant hot water for showers. There were limited channels on television (couldn't watch the second NBA playoff game due to no TNT channel). These comments are made hopes that changes will be instituted to make the stay at The Bella Vista a 5 Star experience, which I think it could be...I'm willing to come back for another stay, however my wife has written this hotel off her list. Bella Vista please make changes/upgrades to your property as soon as possible, I would like to come back soon.

Recently renovated. Great complimentary breakfast. Clean hotel. Would suggest adding full-length mirrors to rooms and also getting rid of the odd bed-frame surround (if you bump it with your foot sounds like you're banging on aluminum). Other than that, fantastic hotel for the price. We'd stay here again.

I booked this hotel for a business trip. When you walk in, the area is gorgeous and very "boutique" style. Going in my room, I was a little shocked. It was very large and open, no carpet or rugs, and no mirror! I am not a prisspot by any means, but I do like to get myself together for a business meeting, in front of a mirror where I can sit my stuff to be easily accessible. I went to the bathroom, and there is the mirror, on the wall beside the toilet, the sink is outside of the toilet area with just a large opening above it like a windowless window. There is a cosy looking chair in the room with a foot stool but it was dark blue and covered in fuzz and who knows what. The floors were swept but im not sure they were mopped. Luckily I was only there for one night so I made it work because I was too tired to make a fuss. If they put more effort into the rooms, like they have the main lobby, it would make it feel nicer! One last thing, theres no phone in the room. I have a cellphone but, a room phone seems customary and especially in case of emergency. I am not usually a reviewer of things but this was a bit wild. I was grateful to have a place to lay my head, and I am fortunate to have that luxury. I believe the advertisement for this place is false!

We checked in very late after 12 am . They had did some remodeling on the doors so the room we had the door wouldn’t lock so we didn’t feel safe staying in that room the gentleman working the desk that night went out of his way to find us a room on the same floor and moved us within 15-20 mins of checking in .

I made a 2-night reservation. I had a family emergency and called the motel around noon the day before my departure to ask if I could change it to a 1-night stay for the original second night. The lady I spoke with was very nice and said “no problem” and changed it for me. When I arrived the second night, they told me I was a no-show and there was no room available. I had to frantically call several motels to find a new room for our family. They also would not issue a refund. The property was updated beautifully. They were still working on what appears to be a restaurant area. The room we were in had an echo it needed something to soften the hallway traffic. Otherwise nice place to stay. There is nothing within walking distance or an area to go for a nice morning walk but if you drive across the street there is a mall and the downtown is located about 3-5 miles away only accessible by car.

Beautiful property! Loved the rooms, hospitality and overall experience. It was such a peaceful and quaint place. I felt like I was in my own apartment. Very spacious and comfortable. The indoor pool was a nice touch. Breakfast was great. Quick ride to Liberty University!

This was very close to LU and a good stay for the price. Hotel was remodeled but you could still tell it was an older facility. Rooms were large, clean and decorated nicely. Good price for an overnight stay.

Excellent stay. Suite layout was great for my family. Very comfortable with lots of room. Staff was excellent. Few minute drive to Liberty University. Only complaint was the one bathroom was in the room of the master bedroom. Overall great stay.

This hotel has had great renovations. One floor is still under renovation; however, it onAgood Place to Sly impacts food service. They have a grab and go breakfast. Plenty of restaurants are near to the hotel. And yes, I will definitely stay there again.

Was told after I arrived to check in that there was $100 incident deposit. I booked for 2 adults and 2 children. This was not mentioned when booking the room other then that the Hotel is lovely. Wonderfully located. The staff were amazing. Will definitely recommend.

The attention to detail in the decor and colors were outstanding, but I do think it could have been a little more clean in the room and breakfast area. The continental breakfast was okay..could have been more of a selection. Overall, it was a good pick for the night.

Restaurant was shut down, breakfast buffet was ok but scattered around and the worst part was the pool was ice cold. Rooms were ok but the caulking looked amateur at best. Basically this is a motel with lipstick on a pig. would not stay here again

Overall it was a really good stay. The price was very reasonable and the recent renovations appear to have been completed giving the hotel a fresh, new look. Everything is clean and new. The only thing left is the restaurant which is still closed but they have another room where they served a decent hot breakfast which was included. Overall, I would recommend this hotel and we will be staying here again!

The staff was tremendous . So kind and attentive. The hotel just went through a renovation . It’s very pretty . The restaurant/bar area is still not open as of November 2023. It’s expected to be back open in December . The only minor call outs would be the coffee (not great ) and the bed bases are made of a hollow metal . You constantly accidentally kick it. It bangs like a gong . Overall a GREAT value .

The building was only mediocre, but the staff was outstanding and so very nice. Our room was very sterile (not homey) feeling, but not very clean. It felt damp, despite the AC running. The bathroom fan did not work, trapping all the shower moisture in the room. The tile in the shower had mold or mildew in the grout. The breakfast was nice and the staff were very kind and helpful.

Our stay at Bella Vista Hotel in Virginia was largely positive, but there are a few things I feel compelled to point out. First, I rated the room two stars for cleanliness - the majority of the room was very clean however when opening a dresser drawer we found a used condom stuffed back into the condom wrapper. You heard me folks - the ultimate hotel nightmare. We did not make a big deal about it because my significant other did not want our daughter to know since it was a special college drop off trip. I contested this stance but agreed to stay quiet… until now. Otherwise - clean. The television was the size of a large computer monitor and the phone to contact the front desk simply didn’t work. The staff was incredibly kind and the continental breakfast was decent, if not a little underwhelming. More healthy options like sugar free yogurt and fresh fruit would have been nice. I paid a premium price for this room and was not thrilled with the discovery of a pre-enjoyed rubber. It made me question the thoroughness of the housekeeping. Overall, a fine time. I wont be going back for reasons already explained but the lobby was lovely, and the staff incredibly kind.
