First I enjoyed my stay. It is on the beach which was a plus. The beds are rock hard. Didn’t sleep that good. The key cards didn’t work half the time. I had to go down and get new key cards twice. Finally I picked this hotel because of the pool. The pool is only open on Friday Saturday and Sunday in May. I would not have booked here if I know that.

I really wish I could give more stars on this one. We had no issues at check in, we came with two families and were able to get on the same floor. The outside pool was nice, but the water was ice cold. The view was amazing. Parking was close but you had to pay. The biggest issue that I can't get around was the elevator. One of them broke right when we got there. That means everyone was crammed in one slow elevator. On the 4th floor it wasn't that bad but if we were higher I would have left and requested a refund. The stairwell we had to use was bad. The picture doesn't do it justice. When I checked out the front desk asked about my stay and when I told her about my concerns she didn’t have much to say or offer. Then there was the mold in the bathroom and the $17 hotel breakfast that's normally free when you travel anywhere else. It's literally the same food. For the thousands of dollars we spent at this place, I would have expected a little more. There’s plenty of options in this area so I won’t be back here.

Both Check in and out took longer than other stays at other hotels. Maybe employees are in training. There was an extra charge for parking each day. One elevator was not working. Shower made a terrible noise. Fridge leaked on floor. The outdoor pool was very nice.

Clean facility with friendly staff. The amenities are many here. Very family friendly. Not enough elevators for the size of the facility. Long waits 10-15 mins most of the day. Request a low floor and use the stairs.

The staff were friendly. The hotel was clean. The outdoor was clean and maintained. The problem was the indoor pool. The water level was below the skimmers which means that it wasn’t being cleaned!! That can make people sick! I told 3 different front desk staff but they said “I’ll let engineering know”. I personally stopped several families from using the pool fearing they’d get sick! The front desk should have locked the doors and put up a sign that it was closed. I’ve been in the aquatic industry for decades so I’m very well aware of water chemistry and filtration.

Nice hotel and located right on V Beach. The outdoor pool is a fun place to hang but was cold so not much swimming for Mother’s Day weekend. Parking and breakfast were all extra cost which adds up. The rooms are newly renovated. Only two items to mention are the two elevators are very slow and used a lot by cleaning staff. Get a room On a lower floor and take the stairs. The exterior stairs door on the south side of the building did not work with the access card. Otherwise nice stay.

Beautiful ocean view. Friendly staff and clean. However, they neglect to advertise that parking is not free, the hotel is under rather noisy construction, and they only have one operational elevator. Also, the breakfast buffet is a definitely a pass, I have had better free breakfast at pretty much every hotel I have have ever stayed in.

Check in was easy and the gentleman at the front desk was very nice. The room smells of heavy air freshener and is very humid. The lock on the sliding glass door out onto the balcony is broken and very hard to open. The carpeting seems damp. The grout in the shower is dirty, and when my daughter went to use the shampoo that is mounted on the shower wall, it fell off and the bracket cut her hand. The pool is nice but it's on the street side and not the ocean side so you're here traffic going by. Overall, it was just an OK experience and not really worth the hefty price tag.

The tub had mold growing in the corners of the tub where it meets the shower wall. I attempted to take a shower the first night and had no water at one point. The entire system was shut down and had to be rebooted. Other than that, it was a nice place to stay.

The room was sanitized well, but the shower needed a good tile grout cleaning. Good balcony, roomy, old microwave, good beds. The air force practice flights are very loud and close. Pay for breakfast $$ on sight at mini cafe is convenient. Indoor pool is decent, but only goes to 5'. 2 good treadmills and elliptical with free weights make up a small ex room.

It was much better years ago. It seems they don’t take care of it anymore. The bathroom was not very clean; there were lots of flies in the cafeteria; the restroom by the pool didn’t have any soap. In summary, I was disappointed.

Overall, the stay was good. The location was perfect. I could see the beach and hear the waves from my room. I experienced black mold in the bathroom. That’s my only complaint as it is a serious matter.

Don't have any complaints, check in was great, with friendly staff, housekeeping was great. Our room was nice and clean and beds were very comfortable. Also they have an awesome pool! It's a very safe quiet place to stay! Hope to go back soon! 🙂

Hotel is in a great location for the beach. However, the AC unit is extremely loud making it super difficult to sleep. The smoke detector has a flashing light on it also making it super difficult to sleep because it is super bright. Bed is not comfortable and the pillows are extremely flat.

For the price we paid, the hotel wasn’t what we expected. The room looked old and cheap, there was no microwave. Breakfast buffet costs 18$, and there were just a few options of food. The outdoor pool is open till 8pm, poolside bar till 6. The water in the pool is VERY cold, no one was swimming. I’m disappointed and not going to come back.

I liked it but I feel like I paid a lot for what they offered, the room was very clean, everything smelled clean, the pool is cold, there is no microwave, it is a little more than 12 minutes walking to the statue of Neptune, I paid 310 dollars for one night and the pool is only open until 6 pm

I really enjoyed my stay at the Marriott. Staff was very friendly and the facility has been renovated and updated since the last time I stayed. I stayed in a corner suite and it was very nice and roomey. Only suggestion i would make would be to have a small stock of kitchen suppliess, i.e. paper towels, cups / dishes for cabinets.....

A very nice room, bed, etc. Service was fine during the day but at night, inconsistent and even somewhat abrupt with various minor issues. Example, the battery to our remote died and I had to go downstairs as there was only one individual on duty. He fixed it in about 10 minutes. Also, you could hear doors in the halls slamming during the evening so I woke up. A real plus was the balcony with a view of the ocean right there. I might stay again as it was a reasonable price (Nov-Dec) but would speak with them about having a room that is shielded from the noise of the doors slamming at night. They do have a nice breakfast which came with the room--which was a real plus. It's a nice setting overall and very clean.

Some minor issues with the room. Not crucial but couch was extremely uncomfortable. Both rooms sliding glass doors to balcony were in sever need of maintenance as they both need 2 men and a small boy to open and close.

Convenient to beach; quiet area. Staff was exceptionally accommodating. We thought we left a cell phone there and they went. I’ve and beyond to retrieve it. North end of boardwalk so not as crowded on the beach. That being said, you are more limited in dining and shopping within walking distance. There are a few nice eateries close by such as Pocahontas Pancakes, Pelons Baja Grill and Mellow Mushroom pizza. Hotel itself was very clean/well kept. The staff was amazing. Jaylen checked us in and took care of us. He made us feel welcome upon arrival and took care of a booking discrepancy by Expedia. Thank you Jaylen! Somewhat spacious 2-queen room but not much storage. A 2-drawer dresser and small closet. Bathroom was small with nice shower head with plenty of water pressure. The view from the 7th floor was amazing! The outdoor pool is nice but gets crowded quickly and the poolside bar is so overpriced for snacks/food. They have a “strict” No outside food or beverages allowed…I think that a load of bull. Indoor pool is not worth the time, also didn’t look very clean. The hotel restaurant is subpar, the breakfast buffet should be free as it’s a basic continental set up. All in all, because of the cleanliness, staff, less crowdedness I would both recommend and stay at this hotel again.

I didn’t like the fact they waiting til I got all the way to the hotel to check for them to tell me the room I booked a month ago was over booked so I couldn’t get the room I booked I got a smaller room and that made me very upset cause I could’ve went to another hotel

The manager was very rude. I wanted to change my room because it was very small and my family is 5. I am very disappointed with the service they provided me. The manager told me that we are full and I cannot give you another room. I checked online and they had rooms available. Apart from that, he is a liar and very bad service.

The front desk wasn't knowledgeable and honest in their responses when I called before I booked to ask if there were microwave's & streaming services (specifically Prime) in the room and was told yes. When I arrived, that was not the case and I was put in a different room from what I booked. I asked for a late checkout and was told yes & that also didn't happen. Got locked out & had to get go back downstairs to get my keys reactivated. At this point I did ask to speak to management & was told they would be there in the afternoon, my info and message was taken and no one has reached out. Highly disappointed in my stay!

From the moment we walked through the door we felt welcomed. Tyler greeted us with a smile and awesome energy. The rooms were amazing and every member of the staff greeted us in the hallway with a smile. My family has stayed in a lot of hotels in Virginia Beach and this is at the top of our list from now on. Stayed here with my daughter for 5 nights and we loved it! The hotel itself was very clean, newly updated and furnished, and overall very comfortable. The staff was always smiling and willing to help with whatever we needed. The weekend breakfast buffet was delicious and had several options, and the bistro was a very convenient option, especially with the 24 hour Starbucks options available! The beach and the boardwalk were just a step out the door and there were several restaurant and shop options available within the surrounding area and within walking distance! This establishment exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be visiting again!

Great location! Easy walk to Neptune park. Our oceanfront room was perfect and nice and quiet on the 11th floor. ALL of the staff were very friendly and helpful. We just wish there was a hot tub in the property.

Best Beach Vacation Hotel! The property was excellent! They had a very spacious suite, a big plus for us as we are traveling with teen kids. The balcony overlooking the beach was breathtaking and as promised. The area around was so peaceful and quiet. Lots of food options and shopping. This specific area was perfect, it was towards the end of the boardwalk, which we loved because it wasn't as busy as the beginning and middle .

The north Virginia Beach area is less crowded making for quieter beach days. The hotel’s pool has a unique rock waterfall feature that is enjoyable for the whole family and the large suite rooms are the most spacious hotel rooms I have ever been in. With that said, our check in experience was over an hour later than the expected 4 pm even though we were on the early check-in list. One clerk told me that he could downgrade my room so I could get into a room faster. We paid for the large suite so I had to wait longer. We had to ask for blankets for the pull out couch and were told they would be a while. When we went back down several hours later to ask again, a different clerk gave us the blankets and said they are right behind the counter. The bistro and bar did not have consistent hours, and the food options were limited. The breakfast buffet was not worth the expensive price per person, and paying for parking was something I had never had to do before at other hotels at this beach. Overall, the rooms were spacious and clean, the hotel was clean and the grounds were well kept, however the issues with staffing and pricey options that were not worth the money made this hotel earn less stars.

Very nice hotel. Not sure why they need to nickel and dime on parking, $10 per night, and on breakfast, $15 per stay. Especially, when paying over $300 a night for a hotel that is "nice", but is obviously dated and needs to be upgraded to be a 3-star hotel. Overall, the staff were wonderful.

Clean and comfortable room. Hotel accommodated us with a high room. View was perfect. Loved where it was located and enjoyed the pool. Negatives- paying for parking, breakfast Buffett $20 per person- overpriced and not good at all. The only things worthwhile were the coffee and muffins and you could get that at the 7-eleven 2 blocks from hotel for less than $5. It was nice to have a pool bar but that was overpriced. Had a frozen margarita for $18 and it was watery and not good. Overpriced food and drink.

Beautiful ocean view. Friendly staff and clean. However, they neglect to advertise that parking is not free, the hotel is under rather noisy construction, and they only have one operational elevator. Also, the breakfast buffet is a definitely a pass, I have had better free breakfast at pretty much every hotel I have have ever stayed in.

We loved facing the ocean and having a balcony. I believe all the rooms do. The pools were great to have available, an indoor and outdoor! The was a Starbucks inside and a little restaurant serving a full breakfast. The lobby was clean as well as the rooms. They had over flow parking if needed across the street. Definitely would stay there again.

Great beach view. The staff was incredibly kind and cheerful. We came early and she was able to get us in our room early and check in took almost no time at all. The sliding glass door was difficult to open and close, most likely due to salt water damage. The beds were comfy. The pool was clean and my son and I enjoyed it. Great location. We would definitely stay here again.
