They filled the pool with concrete! Lame!

The room was clean enough but extremely barren, no closet door, no drapes, patched up damage spots on walls. Dirty bathtub. The breakfast was a joke, I was led to believe that it was like the usual continental breakfast and yet it simply had toast and two cereals, and some frozen waffles! Overall it was very disappointing and useless to us. No pool either.

Hotel was clean , staff friendly, lots of parking but homeless sleeping in parking lot and also homeless sleeping in lobby of hotel , breakfast very limited selection good location for shopping

Good price a clean facilities but the building really needs a facelift. It looks run down.

Safe, quiet, walkable and plenty of parking

I choose this location since it was listed as a Wyndham Property. The Baymont Inn & Suites Bellingham, WA is an aging building that is in poor repair. The bed, linens, and room were clean, staff were helpful. The structure of the room was worn- poorly patched walls with holes and mismatched painted areas, peeling wood on bathroom door, broken tile, stained carpets in halls, etc. Continental bkfst had sparse offerings and food containers were empty. new furniture was in room, but outline of old furniture visible and marred walls from old furniture. Grounds were in poor repair with piles of trash and broken equipment piled in the pool area (which had been filled in with concrete), fence near entrance was broken, etc. The facility is in an area of a number of nicer hotels, and was clearly far below par. We would not stay here again and were disappointed that the location carried the Wyndham name.

Main Door lobby entry rug dirty & worn, lobby needs something to make it welcoming. Room door smudged dented & needs cleaned/repaint. The room & amenities new clean & good condition. No wall decorations or pictures very sterile appearance. Other than these impressions staff pleasant & very good value.

Pluses...The property had ample parking, and the room had a nice TV and well made bed. Minus...The property was run down and not well maintained. Seemed that there had been holes in the hall walls that had been patched and not painted, and corners of walls were knocked off and not repaired. In the room a covering had been removed from the tub/shower and the brown outline was still in the tub. Needless to say, we didn't use the shower. Check-in and check-out were done online. The desk help, on check in, was short and preoccupied. Checking out, was just laying keys on the counter and a thank you. No receipt. Said we would get it online.

Parking was close to the lobby and easily walkable. Staff was very friendly and check in with professionalism. There was a plenty of space in the room and the breakfast was decent. Had a enough good rest to start the next day

Old tired hotel. Pool filled in w concrete. Front desk super friendly and helpful when our tv wouldnt turn on, they cane right in and fixed. Good for the price. We'd stay here again. Fridge, microwave, coffee maker, but bring your own coffee. Theirs not so good.

Bathroom not clean. Dirty towels hanging behind door and hair on the walls of the shower. Breakfast was the worse continental selection I have ever seen. Very little variety.

Check-in was quick. My room on the first floor was basic but clean. The bed was comfortable, with three pillows. The TV was adequate, though pretty small - maybe 32". The remote control has buttons for Netflix and Amazon Prime, but I didn't try them out. The air conditioning was excellent. There was a packaged bar of soap next to the sink, and large containers of body wash and shampoo in the bathtub/shower. The bathroom had plenty of towels available. I didn't partake of the free breakfast, so I can't comment about that. The hotel is close to lots of stores and restaurants, and is conveniently located less than a mile off the interstate. It's a good, basic hotel at an affordable price in a convenient location - just what I needed. I had nothing to complain about during my one-night stay, so I'd be happy to stay here again the next time I'm in Bellingham.

Very friendly and clean room

Walls had peeling paint and drywall patches that were not painted, mold on the bathroom ceiling, mold and fuzz and dirt on the baseboards and in the corners of the bathroom floor and not just a little bit. Do not spend the money here.

This property is not well maintained. Doors and light switches in our room were covered in grime. The carpet had holes. The bathroom had stains in the shower and on the walls. Someone was on the street corner playing drums on a bucket by 7:30 am.

The room was unpleasantly humid. The carpet was damp and there was mold growing on the wall in the shower. Sheets and towels were clean, but everything else felt runs down and dingy.

We expected the hotel to be cleaner, but all of the common areas were in need of a shampooing and vacuuming. The room condition was really run down.

The rooms are not as nice as the pictures make them look. The gas station next to the hotel was full of homeless people. I was woken up more times than I could keep track of by people in the hall or lobby. We were on the 1st floor and the window only had a small latch so safety was a concern. That also meant we couldn't leave the window open and had to use the little ac unit. It worked great but smelled a bit like mildew. My "non-smoking" room smelled like smoke. The carpet in the room was gross. There was a candy wrapper on the floor in the bathroom so who knows if it was actually cleaned. The bed was clean and comfortable and having a small fridge and microwave included was a plus. I will never stay here again.

Front desk staff very kind. Clean and tidy room. Convenient and safe.

The bathroom was a bit dirty but beyond that we had a great stay!

Old. Bad internet. Bed was horrible, worst i have seen in 45 yrars of business travel. Bird crap on the windows. Bathroom door had metal pealing. Shower stall had jell coat worn through.

Room 312 was noisy throughout the night. Ice machine was the primary cause. Shower was horribly stained and the shampoo dispenser was empty:(

Property was in a good location to shopping. Room was clean and nicely updated with no carpet. However the room doors slammed allot causing a disruptive sleep. The window had a blind but when am came it let allot of light in causing wake up earlier than intended. The property felt a bit run down and needs some maintenance as well.

I stayed because i was flying out, dudnt get any sleep. Check in at 1530, and room wasn't ready. No worries, went down to a sports bar. Once i got back to the room it was ready. Got in the room, door had to play with to lock it. They really need curtains, they had a blind up, but daylight still got through. Door frame needs some work, can see light all around it. Trying to sleep, could here people outside and hear the whole conversation, i was in 207, someone truck aleam went off for a bit, you can hear everything in the hallway, people letting doors slam. They need maintenence to the ice machine i could hear it in my room. But the staff was very nice. I understand they only had two housekeepers, but owners need to step up and fix things.

Everything was fine but it is odd that there are no carpets in the place. This makes every noise carry especially in the hallways. More troubling was that the Internet was so slow as to be unusable. No functional internet is a deal killer for me.

Basic , No Frills…a good place to stay IF you only need a bed & shower. POSITIVE: location, cleanliness, comfortable bed…NEGATIVE: No easy chairs in rooms or common areas, room amenities are lacking—body wash & shampoo are the only toiletries provided.

Fine overall but could definitely use some updating and repairs. Holes in the walls in our room, no tissues, phone didn't work to call front desk, no remote for the TV and the air conditioner only turned on if it was set to 60. Bed was comfortable at least.

Front desk charged my card prior to me checking in even though I had selected this hotel specifically because of the book now, pay later option so my friends and I could split the room upon checking in. Front desk staff was very dismissive of the issue. Rooms were very clean but very very rundown. Parking lot lights are like prison spotlights pointing into rooms and cheap vinyl blind does little to block. Also, horribly strong artificial smell pumped into lobby and hallways (less in actual room). Bed was comfortable.

I am writing to share my deep disappointment regarding our recent stay at the Baymont, which was meant to be a special anniversary getaway for my mother, my sister, and myself. Prior to our arrival, I had sent a message kindly requesting a quiet, top-floor room away from the elevator, in recognition of the occasion. Unfortunately, not only did I receive no reply to my message, but we were assigned a room that was the complete opposite of what we requested—low floor, directly beside the elevator, and in very poor condition. After expressing my concerns at check-in, the front desk clerk (who was very kind and helpful) offered us a choice between two other rooms. I chose the best of the two, but unfortunately, both were still located next to the elevator. Later that evening, we discovered that the door lock to our room was broken and would not secure properly. This caused a great deal of discomfort and anxiety, especially as three women traveling in a different country with no working phone in the room. We had a very poor night’s sleep due to not feeling safe. As a Wyndham owner, I had high expectations based on the brand’s standards and the high online rating shown when I booked. Unfortunately, our experience did not reflect that level of quality or care. Very disappointing and after writing the manager of the property expressing my concerns politely, I received no reply. Don’t stay here!!!

Very clean but noisy. The room entry doors have no cushion and close with a bang @ all hours.

Receptionist was very friendly. There were very noisy people on our floor. We finally asked to be moved to another floor, which we did. Also, the air conditioner in our first room was quite noisy.

Check in was great.. gentlemen on front desk was fantastic not once in the three days we stayed there did we receive towels or maid service.. morning of second day, I went to front desk, the lady on duty told me that we would get towels and maid service later that day.. did not receive either. I would not recommend this hotel.

Prepaid for two rooms weeks in advance through Expedia. Upon arrival was told by the gentleman at the counter that they had my reservation but only had booked one room for me instead of two (even though they could see that I had already paid for two rooms). My only option was to pay again for another room and luckily they did have another room available. I was told that the manager would call me later that evening or the next day. Never received a phone call. We stayed 3 nights. I did check back in daily with front desk but no one was able to help. As I was checking out on Monday, the assistant manager was at the desk and was able to finally troubleshoot the issue, finding that I had been overcharged by more than $300. They did refund the $$ but the customer service was very poor throughout our stay, with the exception of the assistant manager upon checkout. Rooms were ok, but we expected them to be mediocre with the rate we paid so that was fine. Did have to wear earplugs due to outside noise and ppl inside the hotel yelling down the halls.

I checked in and reported to the front desk that our room stank of cigarette smoke, despite this being a non smoking hotel. Front desk advised no comparable room available, I would be charged a fee to switch rooms, and no discount for the inconvenience. The next morning, another front desk person apologized and advised I could have been accommodated.

We stayed just the one night but everything went well. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. No issues or concerns. Breakfast was included and we will stay here again Big shout out to Vince, he was great.

I stayed two nights and the room was not made up. The breakfast was poor with unhealthy choices, I went out for breakfast.

Good location. Older hotel but clean.

I really liked the demeanour and friendliness of all the staff. The rooms are comfortable and the location is conveniently close to stores and restaurants. I've stayed at 3 other hotels in Bellingham within the last 4 weeks and the Baymont is my favourite.

Look if you are staying here because you have business to attend or are on your way somewhere else, it’s perfect. Is this the Fairmont? No. There were some sketchy people outside loitering… but I mean, the rest was as is. Nothing fancy, clean and works.

5 min to Bellingham airport.

We stayed here because we were getting in late and leaving very early. We didnt want to pay a lot. This hotel is in a quiet area and is easy to get to, which was nice.

Clean, spacious, and close to shopping

Was close to shopping centre and food options. Beds were comfortable Fairly dated and could do with some basic maintenance and updating.

Good value good location

Property was conveniently located in the middle of town. Very walkable and quiet. Clean facilities and options for an overnight stay. Not necessarily a plush hotel but great for what we needed.

Lots of homeless people hanging around asking guests for money and other stuff.

Breakfast was horrible. It served microwaveable sandwich. Electronic outlet broken. Bed was not comfortable. Feels like I was sleeping on springs. Horrible smell.

Amazing good breakfast clean rooms friends staff

Great room and pleasant stay for graduation! The staff were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was very sparse and left much to be desired. But overall a great stay!

I had phoned before booking this property to check on the food options for the continental breakfast. I was told that the food options included make your own waffles, sausage or bacon along with many other items which was what is also depicted in the pictures on their website. When we went down for breakfast, the breakfast had less than half the items promised. Dry bread for toast, packaged instant oatmeal, two options of dry cereal, yogurt, prepackaged waffles to pop in a toaster, packaged cookies, prepackaged breakfast sandwiches and fruit cups were the options the first morning, fewer options the on second morning of our stay. Not once did we see anyone replenishing or checking the breakfast items. We also had problems with a very noisy bathroom fan, clogged bathroom sink, stained carpets, unvacuumed hallways, tv wouldn’t connect to wifi, broken glass behind our vehicle which we were told would be cleaned up but never was. Very disappointed as hotel is not as depicted in pictures or a described on website.

Breakfast foods were very limited and desk staff had to be notified 2-3 days that certain foods were out or in short demand. After they were notified the clerk came into the room and restocked. Think they should of been keeping track of what was offered more often. This was at 8:15am, breakfast served till 9:00am.

Breakfast wasn’t much beyond cereal, yogurt and weak coffee. Rooms are clean but lots of wear showing in lack of paint and flaking surface in tub.

Beds were comfortable. Price for a good night’s rest was acceptable. Food options were fine…cereal, juice, microwaveable breakfast sandwich, waffles, banana etc..

Our shower tub was stained and dirty. The tub faucet barely worked and didn't get very hot. The breakfast food selection was extremely poor. Frozen breakfast sandwiches that require microwave is not good and not what your guests want.

Breakfast was terrible!! There are no options and only frozen food In general, the hotel is ok

Simple and clean. Nice staff. Breakfast sufficient.
