Ocean Shores Inn & Suites

We arrived and they sent us to a room that was not cleaned and the beds had all been slept in. I called for assistance and they said “well it says it was cleaned”. In a room that sleeps 6, we had 4 towels, and 4 pillows for two queen beds. And there’s no way the room sleeps 6 unless you brought a cot. They advertise that there is a stocked kitchen, however the pots and pans and appliances were all in rough shape. The bathrooms were dirty on the floors. When we went to the front desk to ask for more towels and pillows we were given ONE pillow. Because they were out of pillows. The towels were very small and incredibly thin. There are two pools onsite and no pool towels. The staff were friendly but not very helpful. And the whole property looks run down with rooms that don’t even have closing doors. Even the windows don’t have screens. If I had another place to stay, I would have left because this was not as advertised. The pictures from the website are NOTHING like the actual property. Even the ice machine didn’t work. Clearly they are doing some remodeling in some rooms, but overall the place was unacceptable.

I like the updated room decor, bed was comfortable. Very loud due to thin walls. Floors not carpeted which was great but the room needed a rug. Very sandy due to proximity of beach. Pool area was not available during our stay (weather was cold). Check in was very easy, very friendly staff. You could tell they have been working on updates. Window screens had holes and rips and generally window sills needed to be cleaned. Kitchen was nicely stocked. No hangers present in room. It had ups and downs but all in all I would stay here again. Price was decent and I slept well.

We always stay there during razor clam trip. No more elevator, lots of remodeling going on. Overall, price is good, parking ok and easy to the beach

Best part about this place was the 2 cats they have on site. Trivial to some but an awesome bonus to a cat lover like myself. They also had 2 pools, one indoor and 1 outdoor both of which were heated, an additional plus in Washington where its usually too chilly to enjoy a swim in June. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others

The staff was amazing however, the refrigerator in our room was so noisy and the tv did not work plus the only coffee was decaf. The pool area had dirty diapers laying around i know that is from the guests. The beds were super comfy and the onsite washer and dryer was a bonus. The pools were a great temperature.

This is a budget hotel and you can tell they're in the process of renovations. It was very quiet, very affordable. It is your typical budget beach hotel. We didn't swim in the pool but upon checking it out you could tell it was very well cared for. Sparkling clean, no overpowering chlorine smell. I'll be honest, the hotel is kind of weird and funky, but that's what we liked about it! Great location for access to the beach and stores. Nice staff.

The hotel itself is old. They seemed to be in the process of renovating, but... idk. Our room reeked of orange Lysol when we checked in. By the next morning that had worn off and we were left with a musty room with a stench of dog pee. The carpet was matted and sticky. The couch was sticky and damp. The pool water was warm, but it was green and cloudy. You can't see further than a couple feet down. Our key cards were very finnicky, as the card reader didn't seem to work very well. We took the room because it was the cheapest thing we could find on short notice, but next time I'll try to book a better place in advance.

Bed bugs!!! No no no! Property looked ok but woke up with BED BUGS crawling everywhere! Disgusting. I’ve NEVER had a room with huge bed bugs. Staff not available until 8. When I told front desk they had no remedy, not apologetic or concerned and were argumentative about the cleanliness . They also did not say they would isolate room and fumigate to protect others. Very very sketchy!!!

Room smelled of wet dog, mold and cigarettes. Linens were not clean with visable unwashed stains on them, outlets didnt work, carpets were stained, mold in the bathroom. Overall this place was extremely run down and unsanitary.

There were cockroaches in the room I stayed which I hate most of all the insect in my life. I will never book that hotel again

After all I had a terrible experience at this place The bathrooms is full of mold all around the tub, fortiture and building old, terrible conditions, door lock broken feels unsafe, no waters in the room, water is not hot dirty carpets with lots of stains and smelly room. person at the front desk overnight He was very nice, I should get my money back.

One of the worst places we have ever stayed. Mold in the window seals the bathtub all around the toilet. Floors were disgusting. The couches are filthy. Had to go buy sheets to use on the bed because of dirty this whole place was.

How bad could it possibly be? You might be asking yourself this question as you browse these reviews hoping to find some truth in and amongst the subjective experiences of people with certain expectations. I ask for very little in a motel: a place to rest one's head for the night. Somehow this establishment failed to even provide that. What should have been my first red flag were all the reviews mentioning mold. "Surely these people must be overreacting to a small corner" I thought. Not so for indeed the entire ceiling of the bathroom was speckled with that unmistakable black mold that so many of us have known from substandard living spaces. Thankfully, one doesn't sleep in the bathroom, but that brings us to the bed. I have slept rough before, but this tops them all. Namely, a foam rubber topper over the world's most put upon mattress providing a sleeping surface so hot and uneven that Frank Gehry would look to it for inspiration. After two hours of lying in the worst bed on Earth, I resigned to stay up the night. I will not be returning to this establishment under any circumstances, and I advise you stay away as well. The price is simply not worth it.

The room was disgustingly dirty. There was a bird nest right outside the door and bird poop all over. There was mold in the shower and all over the window frames. The screen for the bedroom window was laying on the floor when we checked in. The fan in the room was full of dust and mold and the cleaning crew left a dirty rag on the counter. We had our 1 year old son with us and couldn't risk exposing him to the filth so we returned the keys and had to book a hotel 45 min away due to the holiday weekend. Only positive experience was the very nice gentleman working the front desk who let us check in early.

Mold. Mildew. Hair in the sheets that looked like they’d been slept in. No refund. Cut trip short and went home

Every room smells bad. Old property. Mold in every room. Big group stayed overnight for clams. Great if you're just guys. All the women complained about cleanliness

Our neighbors were loud, routy and arguing until 5 in the morning night one. The walls were thin and we heard EVERYTHING. Beds weren't bad for being a cheaper hotel. I've slept on much worse. The pillows were paper thin though so if you like fluff, bring your own. Heat/temperature was overall good. Water pressure in the shower was awful. Several things were broken, a table leg was falling off, a stove burner didn't work, part of the couch was wobbly. Overall most of the furniture felt like one good windstorm would ruin all of it. We found a dead slug under the couch and the kitchen sink was dripping. We were on a tight budget and for what we paid, you get what you get but we have stayed at this hotel multiple times and never had an experience quite this bad. Staff was polite and immediately wrote down problems as we shared them.

The room was good but needs to be updated. The curtains did not completely cover the windows, there was no coffee pot but they had coffee in the room. The shower did not work at all and i never did figure out the gas fireplace.

The queen room is listed as a studio and is smaller than my 10×12 living room. It smelled bad and had so much wear and tear! Sheets were clean but bed sagged badly. So bad I even checked for bedbugs before I'd get in bed. Wall heater was so close to bed and hot that I was afraid that the bedskirt would catch on fire. Lots of noise and it appeared people lived there. No insulation for sound or temperature. Embarrassed that I booked a room there and paid what I did for what we got. TV has no access to cable, only hulu, netflix and roku if you already have accounts to log into. Didn't even bother to try the wifi. Towel for floor outside shower had mildew stains. Mirror was old and eroded arou d the edges and starting to wear through in spots. If you stay for less than three days they do not peovide housekeeping and you have to trade towels in the office. Only enough shampoo, conditioner and soap for one day, so bring your own. Will NEVER stay here again and definitely won't recommend this place to ANYONE!!! Too bad you can't get a refund for a disgusting stay. Some day we'll laugh about it, I'm sure!

Nice big rooms, most have a balcony and fireplace and kitchen. Easy access to the beach. Their elevator is broken so have to take stairs to upper levels. Hotel is dated but still for the price is a decent place to stay that is close to the beach and restaurants.

It was a good location but the room was small

Without being overly critical, it was a decent enough stay. Had an issue with the door of my original room, staff was quick and courteous getting me another room. Bed in room was super comfortable. But, place was dated and looking quite run down. Elevator was broken with very narrow staircases.

Overall it was a cheap night's sleep. It's about 20 years out of date, but served it's purpose for the night. Pictures online definitely need to be updated. Presents it to be nicer than truly is.

It’s a good size room and nice kitchen but there is some kind of a weird smell in the room cleanliness is tolerable (I am a clean freak though) lol, bed frame are old and scratchy. It’s rusty bathroom and wall sidings of the room. The tv is so small like small laptop size lol. The good thing is it’s quiet and you can’t hear the people in the other room. Walkable donuts, coffee shop just next to the hotel property and the shopping stores and restaurants. No hot tub but they have indoor heated swimming pool and outside pool.

Didn’t go in pool but looked amazing! Room was enormous! Still needs a bit of renovation but very nice! Stayed more than once and will stay again! Easy walk to shops. Easy walk to beach.

I would spend a bit more elsewhere. Quite basic old room, all that is needed except a regular satellite or digital tv package to get channels like ESPN.

The staff were very friendly. The front desk assistant helped extended our stay.

I've stayed here several times in the past five years. I've found it adequate when I want to get a good price. Upside was that the room this time was the nicest one I've stayed in there. It had been renovated and had modern furnishings. It mostly looked clean, but there was some black mold in corners of the bathtub and in the tile grout. Also the room arrangement was odd - the TV was on a wall parallel to the long side of the bed and there was no other seating in the room except at the dining table. Fortunately I don't care about tv, but it would be awkward to watch in this layout. The employees I interacted with were very pleasant and friendly. This property allows smoking on the grounds. When you're outside, it smells like you're in a cloud of smoke, but I didn't smell any in the room. The worst things about my stay were that the indoor pool was closed, which was a significant reason I chose of this property. Also the Wifi didn't work at all in my room. I had to work on the trip, so it really messed things up for me and I had to pay for extra data on my cell plan. The staff person was friendly but not helpful. Expedia added $12 in rewards to my account, which is ok but not nearly as much as I spent on the data. When I went to check out (9am), no staff were there. There's a number on the door to call, but nobody answered and the voicemail was full, so I had to wait until someone showed up. Next time will spend the extra $$ to stay elsewhere.

I was locked out of my hotel room on Saturday night because the keycard stopped working. The number to call was out of office until 8am and the voicemail box was full. I was left in the cold with no place to sleep, eat (since all restaurants were closed), or use the restroom. Thankfully some people I knew let me sleep at their hotel room. I have emailed the owner of the property about this and received no response or offer for a refund. I also found a cockroach in the shower. Generally great value for what you're paying (other than the one small roach) and super friendly staff when they're there, but no service for being locked out of your room or management help for circumstances that would warrent a refund. Sadly can't recommend this place because of the lack of assistance or compensation. Don't stay here.

Staff was nice and friendly. House maid ladies were nice and one even offered to help me open the door when my hands were full. Whole family had a great time.

Easy access to room and the staff was quick to address a bad door lock.

It was affordable and had everything we needed. We needed a room with a refrigerator and microwave. They have 13 channels to choose from on the TV. That's ok we were busy doing other things. The beach is conveniently located across the street. Short walk to the beach and to town.

I’ve been staying here for years. Great rates for multiple day stays. My kids love the indoor and outdoor pool. It’s conveniently located next to local shops, food, donuts and more. Great walking distance to the water or to rent a bike. Staff is always so nice. Love the kitchenettes to cook for my family. We always enjoy our stay!

Short walk to the beach. Room was very homey with a kitchenette and separate living and bedroom areas. Building is undergoing remodeling and improvements are coming.

The room smelled awful. We bought air fresheners and plugged them in to get rid of the musty smell. There is NO free breakfast there. Parking was ok. But we asked for another room so we can park our truck in the front. Need disabled entrances to the rooms Long walk to enter from the front door.
