Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Fond du Lac, WI

Stay was good. We came for a hockey tournament and there was also another team there as well. The rooms were clean, the pool area was nice. Only complaint is there was never any pool towels in the pool room Friday night or Saturday evening.. another family had asked about pool towels and they said they were out because it was booked full. A couple families had said they'd have 4 guest in rooms and were only given two towels in room..

The pool and hot tub were disgusting, hot tub was green from algae and a black ring around both. Breakfast was supposed to be served until 10am but the lady shut the doors at 9am and refused to let my children eat at 9:32am when confronted, staff got angry and said she was told to stop serving at 9:30am but the signage stated 10am on a holiday.

Hot tub could have been warmer. The pool was quite cool after the hot tub, so I didnt use. Hot tub very relaxing & helped give a good night's sleep.

The stay was perfect for our softball family. Our room was plenty big for our own family. Only issue was the hot tub not working, and having to wear shoes theoughout the hotel-told so by staff.

The floor in the room was sticky as was the lobby floor by elevator and in elevator. The pool was being filled at 5 pm on a Friday night with now towels available. The shower drain was also clogged. For $173 per night, absolutely unacceptable. The breakfast was sub par and they were out of coffee at 7:30 am

The hot tub was very dirty. The pool area was loud with people partying in there with a boom box blasting and doing shots from a glass bottle sitting right along side the pool. People ordered in pizzas when the sign clearly states no food or beverage. I stayed over night at your hotel to have my children swim and have fun. The man playing the boom box was playing explicit music. My son also tried climbing the ladder to come up out of the pool, and the ladder came unattached from the cement! Then the lights also didn’t come on in the pool area when it got dark. Had to ask front desk. I was not happy with our experience.

Breakfast included fresh items other than waffles which is always appreciated. Pool was a little cold and hot tub jets did not work properly. Seemed well staffed.

Walking into the the entrance the landscaping is choked with weeds. There is a run down feel to the property. The person at the counter was a low talker and I had trouble hearing anything he said. My room did not have a hair dryer and the sink in the bathroom would not drain. The room’s furnishings were dated.

Checkin wasn't terribly smooth as it appeared the front desk was having issues with the system. The room had barely adequate cooling, and the carpet was very dirty. Breakfast was very basic which we expected, but it was not well stocked either. The exterior of the property was very shabby. It appears they have given up on the landscaping. Service overall was not stellar. The housekeeping is every 3rd day. We asked for bath towels which the staff could not understand us and brought pool towels. To their credit we did have some brought to our room the next day. In general just not worth the price, you'd be well served to look at the other options in the area.

Rooms need etra attention to little things like vent above hot tub maked with dust and grout in bathroom very black and supposed to be white

This was the most disgusting hotel we ever visited. The whirlpool and pool were so filthy that we would not even stick our toes in it! The room was even more disgusting. The bed cover had blood stains on it. The bed sheets were clearly not changed as they were wrinkled and soiled. The carpets were stained and the whole room needed a deep cleaning. We told the manager we would not be staying and asked for a full refund. I will not hold my breath on getting any reimbursement!! What a complete disappointment.

We were disapppointed with our stay. The only aspect we liked was the bed itself which was comfortable, the desk service was fine. Everything else was unimpressive from the moment we walked in. There was a piece of wood in front of the rod to hang clothes making it extremely hard to hook/unhook. The floors looked and felt dirty. The bathroom toilet had gross rust (or worse) seeping out the back side. They offered minimal towels. We stayed for two nights for a wedding and when they came in they had refreshed soap we didn't need, emptied a garbage, and that was it. No new or additional towels were provided as mentioned and the bed was not remade. The cold air was turned on and the nobs were broken off so it was not adjustable at all. We were on the ground floor, front facing, and there was no privacy curtain, anyone could see in. We could also smell people smoking right outside. When closing the blackout curtains they got stuck closed so we were unable to open them the next morning. Speaking of, while the feature of a continental breakfast was nice, everything -and I mean literally almost everything - was gone by about 9am when we went, though service went till 10. No hot food (which looked gross) or coffee. When my husband showered we also learned they installed the water backwards so cold was hot and hot was cold. Hot however is generous, more like lukewarm at best. Overall, this was one of the worst hotel stays we've had in a long time, if ever. Do not recommend.

The place was musty, stained carpet, stained sheets, and dirty! The shower was so filthy we couldn’t even take a shower in it. We complained to the front desk but the manager was “absent” so no one could help us. We left after the first night even though we were planning to stay 3 nights. Don’t stay here unless you want to sleep in a dump!

This is my second stay at a Country Inn & Suites recently. The best word to describe is adequate, there is nothing wrong but I just prefer something a bit more updated and where I don’t feel the need to alway have shoes on.

When we checked in, our room smelled of cat urine immediately upon opening the door. We went back to the lobby and that staff were incredibly kind in putting us in another room. This new room was a king suite which was spacious and the king bed was comfortable. It was loud with highway traffic and a train horn all night but the hotel staff can’t do anything about that, so I can’t fault them. There were 2 adults 2 kids in our party and only two shower towels. Overall, the customer service was great, but I’m not sure if we’d stay there again based on the initial room and the outside noise.

Nice place to stay. The rooms were clean. My only issue with the room was the thermostat is on the wall heater/AC, instead of being on the wall. You have to kneel on the floor to be able to see the small screen to adjust the thermostat or see if it is on AC or heat. Isabella was extremely polite and professional at check-in. The lady who was at the desk in the evening, not so much. She seemed crabby and ornery. But, we all have bad days. Overall, for the price I think it is a great place to stay.

Building is a lttle hard to find. Is located next to the 41 highway but the facility is clean and quiet. Staff is very helpful and friendly. The beds are super comfy.

Employees were very nice. Room was huge and clean. Breakfast was very good.

Noise issues with highway or truck stop

The door to our room would not shut without a hard struggle with it. Staff seemed unconcerned.

The stay was fine. It was annoying to come back from breakfsst (2 hours before checkout) and have our key cards turned off. When I went downstairs to have them reactivsted there was no one at the desk or answering the phone. Housekeeping finally let me in and commented that they frequently turn the keys off early.

I just didn’t like that there was no one around to help me check out I felt uncomfortable with leaving with no staff at the door and others waiting in the lobby area. I needed to leave and after waiting and calling I threw my room keys to the back desk so others could not reach them.

If I could give this hotel no stars I would. I had a reservation here for three nights. When I arrived, my room was extremely dirty. There were no other rooms with a king available. They offered me a double queen. Then when I was switched I was told I could only stay there for one night and would have to check out and find another hotel for the next two nights. I asked to just be removed from my reservation and I'd go find another hotel. At the same time, my brother also was staying there and had to request new bedding for the pull-out couch which was soiled. Other guests were having problems with their reservations at the same time. The front attendant told me that the manager was unlikely to allow me out of my reservation and I would have to pay for one full night. I was charged more than my reservation would have been for the king for one night for a downgraded room to a queen. Ultimately I left and went to another hotel for my stay in town. I tried to speak with the manager who refused to allow me to explain the story. He cut me off while speaking, believed I spent the night in the hotel with my sister, and refused to listen. Extremely rude and poor business behavior. Beyond the photos below--hair on the bedding, food scraps around the refrigerator, mold in the shower, someone's razor in the shower.

Liz, the night front desk employee, was amazing. She was friendly and gave great recommendations of where to eat. The rooms were very clean, but did need some fixing up (i.e., carpet shaggy where it met the tile, etc.)

The staff was so friendly and helpful. Each of them started our day with a kind word. I observed the staff with others and they treated everyone in a friendly manner. Great customer service 👏

Check in was a disaster. Room was paid for. They forced me to pay again regardless of having a paid receipt. I spent 45 minutes on the phone with Hotels.com in order to get hotel to refund my card. Not fun after driving 12 hours and wanting to get some rest for morning work meeting. Definitely not a hotels.com issue.

Close to Loves - needed gas. Easy in and off the highway.

Convenient location for south side of Fond du Lac

The area is highly commercial, and the hotel sticks out like a sore thumb among endless semis. The hotel and staff are excellent the location is scary,

Check-in was fast and the room was large. The location was convient to the city and eating establishments.

Everything was good and the staff was very friendly and helpful, but if you’re looking to get good sleep/sleep in, this isn’t the place. There is a truck stop across the street which can be noisy, our room did not have blackout curtains, and if you’re on the second floor, all you hear from 7am-9am is the waffle maker beeping downstairs, so maybe stay on the third floor. Otherwise, not a bad place just to keep your stuff and have a place to stay.

My fiancé and I stayed her for 5 days during September of 2023. Overall our stay was excellent. We arrived on a Monday and checked out early Saturday morning. On our first morning we realized that our shower drain was clogged up. We immediately notified that front desk who assured us it would be fixed when we returned later that afternoon. To our surprise it was indeed fixed. The bed was super comfortable. Our comforter did have some type of stain on it, but it was faint and didn't have any effect on our comfort. The worst part of the stay was the noise. We had a room facing the parking lot. I would recommend a room on the other side of the building. The hotel is located near a very busy truck stop so there is noise all day and all night long. That isn't anything the hotel can control though. Our floor didn't have an ice machine but we could easily go down to the first floor to get ice. Our favorite part of the stay was the breakfast. The breakfast is top notch. I especially liked the waffle maker. Each day there was a different type of eggs, potatoe/bread item, and meat. There were plenty of pastries to choose from as well as fruit, yogurt and an oatmeal station. The coffee was always fresh. We plan to stay here the next time we visit.

The rooms were very clean. The jetted tub was weak. The breakfasts were put out without a lot of care. Coffee was weak and sausage patties tasted like they were frozen and microwaved. Had to eat elsewhere. Grounds were not kept up. Lots of highway noise. Regrettably Would not stay there again.

We always get what we expect at Country Inn, mostly. I had no problems with this stay until we went down to get breakfast at 8:15. No fresh fruit, waffle mix, eggs or sausages. Grabbed some cold cereal and split. The dining area was far from busy and there were two attendants on hand to furnish the meal but, apparently, they were overwhelmed. Me? Underwhelmed.

The room was okay. Pool area was nice. Breakfast was not good. My blueberry muffin tasted rancid. The cheese egg omelets were over cooked and rubbery. The girl came in from outside with her coat on and placed new plates out without washing her hands. Sausages link were white and didn’t seem done. No 24 hr cookies or coffee. There were 3 dry, not good tasting sugar cookies at 3 pm. Never saw another cookie in there all night. Husband went to get a fresh coffee at 5 am, there wasn’t any hot coffee and was told they didn’t make any till 6 am. Someone sure is cutting corners on customer service and cleanliness. Envelope that held my key cards had been used multiple times before us.

The room was perfect. Very clean. Breakfast was hot and delicious. The hotel was close to the Wild Goose Trail which was also great-we rode our bikes one morning. Perfect mini vacation.
