Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Triadelphia - Wheeling

My first room. 165 i had a hard time with the key card. Took a few tries to get in. Then later on the lamp was flickering, the smoke detector went off. He replaced the battery, went off again while he was there. Told me if it goes off again come and get him. It stopped.Then the lamp again. The towel holder in bathroom fell off. I went to the front desk and showed him the video of the lamp. He was going to switch it out but instead he switched my room to 202. First night was nice. I wasnt impressed with the breakfast. Second night, kids were noisy about midnight and on. Then ladies were out the door below my window, smoking,laughing and talking loud. The only time i couldnt hear them is when the sir conditioner turned back on. 9 am i went down for breakfast and no muffins, bread was low. There was beer caps and cigs around the property. Went into the pool, the bolt and nut fell off the first step of the ladder in the 3ft side, and i took to the guy at the desk. He taped it to a piece of paper. When i ask the a different man at the front desk he said thats what that is from. And went and changed his shorts and got in pool and fixed it.

There is a giant pothole in the middle of the parking lot that is not visible at night...followed by a smaller but deep pothole. We arrived at 11pm from a 7 hour drive from the east coast and the car those potholes hard at only 10 mph. Also, for checkout, the front door attendant was busy attending to something in the hotel. We waited for 15 minutes before leaving our keys at the desk and leaving the hotel.

THE PARKING LOT NEEDS A TOTAL MAKE OVER. MORE HOLES THAN A 19 HOLE GOLF COURSE WATER HAZARDS INCLUDED !

The check in process was easy and the front desk associate was very nice. The building needs some updates though. It does not look like the pictures posted. The parking lot was terrible pot holes everywhere. My room was dusty and some trash left in it. The bath tub was also a little rusty in spots. You can also hear everything, people in the next room, doors closing, people outside you name it. I won’t be back unless they upgrade the place.

The property had mold in the bathroom and peeling paint. There were holes in the walls and the entry doors to the hall way would not close and lock. The place was so disgusting that as soon as I seen the room I went right back to check in and returned the key and informed the desk attendant that I would be staying elsewhere. Also I am still waiting on my reimbursement from Expedia.

Parking lot was full of big trucks and the pavement has large pot holes everywhere. There was very little breakfast, hallway smelled bad and the floor covering in the room was torn and needs replaced.

Out of 3 lamps only one had a light bulb. Drinks out side of our door. Things broken in the room. Back entrance which should be key card access was hanging open. Our door wont lock from the outside or inside felt unsafe.

Lots of disturbances through out the night, and lack of security on the room doors(locks broken, doors to the building did not shut or lock). Dirty rooms, paper thin blankets, and AC units would not work properly.

The smell was overwhelming and the room was dirty and in need of repair and updating. Dirty walls, tub and floors along with chips in the tile. Very little light in the room and massive pot holes all over the parking lot. Do not recommend!!

Room smelled bad. We were woken at 6 AM because my 10 year old thought there was a bug in his ear. Found out there was a tiny red ant infestation thoughout entire room that we had not seen the night before. They were everywhere, including in his ear! I had to pour some water into his ear to flush the ant out. We told the frony desk, and his response was "that sucks". And he said they had been trying to get rid of the ants but they kept coming back! Red ants bite, so we also had ant bites from sleeping in a bed with ants. Never dealt with anything like this. This is the 4th time we\'ve stayed at this hotel, and we had planned to stay there at the end of the month for another wrestling dual, but they definitely won\'t be happening.

The lobby smells like someone smokes in it regularly. Dirty rooms, many with mold in the fridge. The front desk had no light bulbs and openly said they booked more people than they could handle because they had a dozens of rooms with out doors that lock and/or ac and working bathrooms. All of these things were confirmed while i was waiting in line to check in. Two other families were in line ahead of me getting refunds because neither of their rooms had clean sheets amongst other things, another found a cooked waffle with toppings in the microwave and one behind me had pictures of his fridge that had mold on every side of it. The door didn't work on the room i was given so i left. Im sure if you check other reviews from the weekend of April 4-6 you'll see reviews and pics to confirm my review and more. Spend the extra and go to Suburban Studio or Hawthorne Suites

Bathtub wasn't clean, room smelled, window was covered in moisture on the inside, etc. We requested the room be recleaned. Four hours later no one had come to clean any of it. On top of that the door to the room didnt open and shut well and felt unsafe.

Our room was disgusting, and sticky floors bedding had hair in sheets. It was late and we had no choice. Never again.

Not very clean. There was a dirty wash cloth hanging on shower that was visibly hairy. There was splashed coffee stains on door and trash behind tv. Honestly, my expectations were low and I didn’t expect anything luxurious. However, cleanliness would have gone a long way towards a better review.

The hotel smells like dirty stale cigarettes. Everything is dirty. The person at the desk said that we could’ve had a room on the first floor, but they were dirty so I’m assuming she didn’t feel like cleaning them and when I told her my son had knee surgery she said that she could put us where the dogs were Then kids were allowed to run up and down the hallway and the guy at the front desk said that they can’t make anybody leave so we paid money to stay up all night and listen to other people’s kids. Breakfast was horrible. The guy would only bring out a couple of pieces of toast and a couple of muffins at a time the kids that were in the hotel being unruly were giving people the finger calling them, gay touching all of the food, and the guy was standing right there and wouldn’t do anything about it Asked to have the manager call me they said she would and I still haven’t heard from her all in all, if you can stay anywhere else, even the scuzzy roach Motel down the street you should do it.

Mold was found in the bathroom on the ceiling, overall cleanliness was missing. The room looked as though it hadn’t been cleaned in months. I reserved for 4 people 2 of which are children and there were missing outlet covers. Due to the sanitary concerns we left early and drove home late at night.

We did not get the room we paid for. They were overbooked and could not accommodate us. We had to switch rooms due to ants and even the new room had ants. The towels and bedding in our rooms were dirty. The whole place smelled of cigarette smoke.

Ants where in my bed & stains on the couches it was a horrific stay!

The bed was full of bed bugs, I left the first night, and the lodge sent my money to Expedia for a refund. I am still waiting for.

Room was large but worn tired looking furniture…not as clean as we like

For the price, it was good enough. It was definitely not high end but it was good enough. I got there at midnight and the clerk was talkative and helpful. I had to switch rooms because the one that I was issued was not ready. He kindly switched me to one close to the front desk, as I requested. The toilet was not properly anchored down and wobbled. The bed was lumpy, as were the pillows. When the A/C went on I thought it was a semi that was starting up outside my window. But surprisingly, I slept well (I haven’t slept so well we’re I worried about my car or the traffic noise was so loud) and that was because I felt safe enough. I didn’t use the breakfast

Beds were concave just looking at them. Tv didn't work, husband had to hook up cable and screen was like watching tv in the '70's. Bathrooms were a disaster, tubs were dirty.

We called to have more towels brought up to us and they never brought any. The tv didn't work we told them about it and they were supposed to come help and never showed up.

Hotel was sufficient for a 1-2 day trip. Room was ok, shower apron was broken and so the curtain would not stay closed. The side entrance door was broken as well. Depending on your needs, while the area is small, this hotel is away from the local attractions by a couple miles with limited food options in the immediate area

Booked for me and my son during an out of state wrestling tournament. No elevator which was fine we didn’t have a lot of luggage , but no one directed us as to where to go to find our 2nd floor room. Finally found the dirty stairwell, and ultimately our room, after traveling lost through multiple hallways that reeked of marijuana. Keycard worked, but door was so jammed tight it had to be forcefully opened. The floors in the room were so sticky with our shoes sticking and crunching with every step.The room smelled like smoke and the beds were haphazardly made. There was an ominous door in the room with a deadbolt. It opened to what was likely an adjoining room, which was fine given I had the deadbolt on my side with no access from the other side , but the space between those 2 doors was mildewing and dirty and just creepy overall. The peep hole on the main door had toilet paper stuck into it to block it. I have no idea why. The whole place made me very uncomfortable and ultimately I made the decision to go someone else. The man at the desk asked if there was anything wrong and I just said we decided to stay someone else. Which I know I probably should have been forthcoming about everything, but anyone that went in that room would have known right away the issues apparent. He asked no follow up questions to which honestly I was thankful. The idea of any type of confrontation made me super uncomfortable and I just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible .

Aside from the road noise the place was fine id stay again but id ask for a room along the far side of the build

Beds roll off at the slightest push. Tv shut off on its own several times. Rooms smell weird. Like they bleached everything. Seems like lots of random people just hanging out in the parking lot. Paper thin walls. Honestly, spend another 30.00 for a FAR nicer room down the road at the Highlands

Nice friendly staff to help late at night.

A good property and good with budget. However, the front desk experience was terrible. The two men on the front desk were not friendly at all. We were there at 9:30 pm, the check in process to a while, I was ok with that. When we went to the room, the room was good based on the price we paid. No complaints at this point. My spouse went to bathroom for shower but water did not drain out. I went to the front desk for help. One guy came to the room and tried but did not work. Than second guy came and tried that did not work either. I asked for another room. They eventually agreed to switch to another room. We moved to a new room but there were no towels and I walked to the front desk, one guy brought a couple of towels. But another man was saying to his coworker that they don't need extra towels because they already showered. Haha that was terrible. They did not even said sorry for the inconvenience. They were kinda rude. I didn't even use their towels and eagerly wait to the morning to get out from there. I won't go there for sure.

They over booked the property and we had to drive 25 minutes to find a new hotel. I booked the room over a month in advance.

Great customer service

Took a long time for someone to answer my phone call when I called due to error with book. The gentalman that answer was polite and accomidating and was able to update my booking. When I came to check in, I had to wait a while from someone to come to the counter. There was no bell to ring or something to notify a staff member that a customer was there. The check in process did not take long. However, when I went to my room to door was partial broken and the key card did not work. I had to go back to the front desk, and again I had to wait a long time until someone came to the desk to help me with a new key card to get into my room. The beds had stains all through them. On the sheets, mattress and pillow case. Though the staff member was polite on the phone and in person, the place as not at all. Would not stay at this location again nor suggest it to anyone.

Arrived late and manager was very accomodating

Staff was super friendly and helpful, even as they were working with a hotel full of flood evacuees. My heart goes out to them!

Someone used a key and were able to unlock our door while we were in there. Not enough towels. Front desk was rude when I was checking in. Room phone didn’t work. Ran out of breakfast food early

We didn't even check in. Staff said it was gonna be 2-3 hours before the room was clean. So we went elsewhere.

Location and price perfect for Highland sports complex.

Upon arrival I realized it was not a good hotel. The parking was trashy and filled with potholes. Sketchy people were hanging around around watching us as we parked. No staff was at the front desk. The lobby and hallway smelled of mildew and the carpets were sticky. I chose not to stay the night.

Room was clean, staff were friendly. This is an older hotel, but was a nice place. Also was very quiet, the night we stayed. A little off the beaten path as newer hotels are on the other side of interstate 70. We have stayed here a number of times.

Only make yourself waffles and dry cereal offered with no milk.

We Stayed there for 2 nights, overall good experience, property is old but rooms were cleaned and decent. Very good location for Dining, Shopping and close to New Vrindaban Temple. Pool is only available from Memorial Day long weekend, was disappointment for kids. Hotel is offering a complementary breakfast, which is a plus point.

Breakfast was slim. Bed blanket had a burn mark on it.

Not great. Expectations weren’t high but this was bad. On a busy Friday night had one super slow front counter worker so check in took over a half an hour. Had to walk through the smell of cigarette and weed at any door into the building and the inside wasn’t much better. Door had to be slammed to make sure it shut. Keys had to get reprogrammed multiple times. Breakfast was sparse. No syrup for waffles no kids cereals, we ended up heading to McDonalds. On a positive note the room did have beds.

The hallway smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, however once you are in the room, it smells perfectly clean. All of the linens were clean and everything was spotless. The shower was wonderful, although it was in need of a few aesthetic upgrades. The breakfast was adequate with waffles and cereal, nothing fancy but you are not paying for fancy. I would definitely stay here again for a nice cheap, clean stay with free breakfast.

Beautiful lobby. Checked in quickly. Clean comfortable room. Offed waffles and small breakfast selection. Very nice for the price. Plan to stay there again in a couple of weeks.

Terrible stay. This hotel is falling apart and needs to be renovated or closed down. If I hadn’t already paid for the room before arriving I would have went somewhere else. The parking lot has potholes that will destroy your vehicle and the hotel is literally falling apart. The breakfast is also a complete joke waffles and 2 types of cereal.

Staff were friendly. Hotel room wasn't in the best shape, (peeling paint), shower curtain that didn't fit properly, tub and sink didn't drain. Continental Breakfast was extremely skimpy.

missing remote for TV and no bath towels. Breakfast had no healthy choices. Still a good value

Overall stay was pleasant. It’s just 500 mts away from I70. My son liked the breakfast options.
