The pool was under renovation and closed, which wasn’t disclosed when booking. The resort did offer a daily credit towards hotel amenities as well as a half day trip out to another island for the inconvenience of no pool. The beach was wonderful. The food was ok. No working ice machine for the garden bungalows. Moorea is incredible, though, and we would stay again. (But would check to make sure the pool was open!)

Personnel très sympathique et souriant partout dans l’hôtel. Excellent service au niveau des activités. Bel emplacement. Par contre, Spa décevant avec une réceptionniste désorganisée et manquant de professionnalisme. Elle nous a annulé notre rdv pour le donner à un autre couple sans même nous prévenir ni s’excuser. Autre gros bémol l’état de la piscine qui n’est vraiment pas digne d’un 5, 4 voir même 3 ou 2 étoiles.

This was my husband and I’s second stay at the Hilton Lagoon Spa in Moorea and it’s safe to say we would come back for a third visit! We had such a wonderful time relaxing and enjoying the beautiful stay here. We booked a premium panoramic view overwater bungalow and enjoyed 12 days of the most incredible view and waters. We’re avid snorkelers and divers, so being able to snorkel right from our room is incredible! Despite the declining state of corals worldwide, there were a lot of beautiful and healthy corals on the property housing plenty of different fish, eels, mussels, anemones, etc. We saw things like clownfish, triggerfish, damselfish, moray eels, and so much more. It’s also very safe for beginners and children, just respect the coral and always give the triggerfish space! The staff here are lovely as well and it was pleasant to get to know them. Food is on the pricier side averaging $25-$40 a dish per room service and $50pp for the breakfast buffet, however it’s to be expected on a fairly remote island where food and commodities aren’t going to be as easily accessible. A taxi to the local grocery store for snacks is a great solution if you’re looking for cheaper food alternatives. Overall this has been one of our favorite places to stay and we will definitely be back!

We had an OWB and the room is what made it for us. The snorkeling around the room was amazing. We saw sharks and rays daily along with dozens of fish. We took advantage of the paddle boards and kayaks and snorkeling equipment daily. We even rented a car directly from the hotel one day and drove around the island. They gave us ideas on what to stop and see and it was seamless. The pool was under renovation so the property felt a little small, but there weren’t many people so we didn’t feel crowded at all. The Creperie was 10/10 the food was great and the evening fish entertainment was even better. We tried to eat at the other restaurant one evening but there was a little class fusion and language barrier on what menus were available, so we ended up ordering room service, which was great. We did have a huge cockroach in our room one night which added a little excitement, but we were able to capture it and put it outside and didn’t have an issue after that. Overall a great start to our trip and would definitely stay here again.

resort is very comfortable and landscaping amazing. However, I got disappointed at its gym facility, most of their equipment was out of order and since resort did not offer too much entertainment that would have been something to keep me occupied with.

Clean room, staff was very good! Gaelle at the front desk and Mr. T at the pool were outstanding. The Buffet dinner was a disappointment but the Tahitian show was good! The beach and related amenities were good as well. The pool was dice but could have used a hot tub. Everything was pretty pricey!

This location is spectacular and the over water bungalows don’t disappoint. The dining options on property are ok. Would be great to get a simple coffee without going to full buffet. The staff service is amazing. The water activities (canoeing and paddle boarding) are fun and free! The gym is across the street - which is fine except someone should turn on the AC every morning. It was 86 degrees F when I worked out one morning and about 78 one night. Other than that - the gym itself is good. Overall - a lovely stay on Moorea.

This property is a jewel, the hotel is well integrated into the natural environment, the bungalow overwater are amazing and offer a great and comfortable experience. Shower in room is another level The landscaping is well maintained, clean and respectful of the environment. Paddle board, kayaks and snorkeling attire are available to discover the wonders of the lagoon. Staff is always smiling, friendly and helpful. Food is fantastic. I would strongly recommend this hotel

Having stayed a few days earlier at the Hilton Tahiti, I was quite surprised at how run down the Moorea Hilton was. The dining chair cushions were all torn with the stuffing exposed, the over water bungalows were in desperate need of maintenance, decks need to be treated, the room needed to be deep cleaned, and furniture cleaned. This hotel was not up to par with what other Hilton properties.
Having stayed a few days earlier at the Hilton Tahiti, I was quite surprised at how run down the Moorea Hilton was. The Hilton Moorea was wonderful. It is located centrally to get to either side of the island for shopping, dining and excursions. The location in the lagoon offers beautiful water, a large private beach and spectacular sunrises and sunsets. The property is very nice, immaculately clean and in pretty good fondition. Reviews mentioning it being in need of a refresh are being too overly picky. A few broken tiles here and there and some wood is a little warped but that happens when you’re 7 feet from the ocean. The service was gracious and friendly throughout. We did numerous excursions booked through the hotel (ATV, jet ski, etc) and recommend them all. We had the garden beachfront room with a private pool - room was large and very nice with a lovely private pool. The only criticism I have of the property is that the food is fairly marginal (we had a car and since our food was not included in our rate, we choose to eat out for many meals). There is also very little nightlife at the hotel, in the area and in Moorea in general. Ultimately an A+ but recommend exploring food offsite

The property is very small, with minimal activities area. The staff wasn’t too helpful, often gave wrong information. Food options were only two, some nights only one. None of the dining options offered an air-conditioned room. The Christmas and New Year's buffet food was average, and the show was pretty good. The dining room was so hot, we were sweaty and completely wet, it wasn’t enjoyable. Room conditions were old and dirty, and ants and roaches were often seen. One good thing is mini bar in the room was free. Lack of service in the activity area often had to wait for a while to get your towels exchanged. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, especially if this is your first time in Tahiti. It will ruin all the great impressions of the island. This is our 8th trip to Tahiti, and this is the worst.

We chose the Hilton Moorea expecting a certain standard from the Hilton brand, but unfortunately, our experience left much to be desired. The room didn't match the photos, with a worn-out deck and pool chairs lacking cushions. The toilet seat didn't stay up, and there was a persistent bad smell in the room. We received a room upgrade after complaining, but it's worrying to think that many guests may face similar issues without speaking up. Additionally, we encountered problems like old, stained pool towels and an expensive breakfast buffet, leading us to eat elsewhere for the rest of our stay. We'd recommend renting a car to explore nearby breakfast spots, as the hotel's dining options were average at best. The overwater creperie restaurant emitted a sewage smell, which raised concerns that sewage might be leaking into the water. We reported this to the staff. However, the staff at Hilton Moorea were incredibly friendly, reflecting the hospitality of French Polynesia. We appreciated the room upgrade and enjoyed the beautiful lagoon area for swimming, snorkeling, and kayaking, where we saw fascinating marine life. The room was nice, but definitely dated. The check in the gentleman was nice, but there was just really no service. They could not walk us to our room which we expect in a five star hotel, especially when you’re staying in the overwater premium bungalow. The fixtures in the bathroom were dated and had lots of grime on them. Also, the ice maker across from our room was broken, and it looked like a had been broken for a long time. Half of the equipment in the gym was broken. We ordered a burger from room Service, and ordered at medium rare and it was an overcooked hockey puck. They brought another one and it was the same thing. The room service lady was super nice. The snorkeling off the room was a 10 out of 10 we actually never ate any more meals in the hotel and people were generally nice but the hotel is just a little tired and after coming from a five star resort in Bora Bora, this was not even close to a five star experience. Very expensive for the service we received.

Half of the equipment in the gym was broken. We ordered a burger from room Service, and ordered at medium rare and it was an overcooked hockey puck. They brought another one and it was the same thing. The room service lady was super nice. The snorkeling off the room was a 10 out of 10 we actually never ate any more meals in the hotel and people were generally nice but the hotel is just a little tired and after coming from a five star resort in Bora Bora, this was not even close to a five star experience. Very expensive for the service we received.

The hotel was clean and the staff was genuinely friendly. The rooms get serviced a couple of times per day, which is nice. The resort is not in good condition. Our room had peeling wallpaper, toilet that would not flush properly and the pool deck boards were loose and bowed presenting a safety hazard. While the staff was very nice they seemed overworked. We saw people in the morning at 7am and they were still working at 9pm. It really felt like management was milking the property without fixing anything. We stayed here when it was an Intercontinental and it was night and day difference.

But upon closer inspection, its luster quickly wears off. The huts are all tired, and in need of some updating. Wallpaper is peeling, and torn in places, and cleanliness is below average for any level of hotel. Perhaps most disappointing was the quality and variety of the restaurants. They were simply abysmal. Imagine a mediocre breakfast buffet for $50+! Or 2 cups of coffee for $12! Bottom line – if you’re OK with eye candy, gracious hardworking staff, but horrible dining, you’ll be happy with the property. If you want a true Hilton 5 Star experience, you won’t find it at this disappointing location

Over water bungalow was amazing, spectacular. Beyond words beautiful. From the bungalow itself, to the outside deck and swim deck, wonderful. Snorkeling off deck was great, ocean and mountain views WOW. Property grounds were beautiful. Restaurant food just ok.

My husband and I booked a garden room with a private pool, and we loved the privacy and comfort. The check in staff member as not too happy on our arrival, but her mood did not affect our stay. I would recommend this property to anyone traveling to Moorea. Next time I would like to stay at an over water room. It must be amazing to check out the ocean life during the night.

We stayed in the overwater bungalow. It was amazing! First of all, the bungalows are laid out well and kept well. The location on the water was beautiful and perfect! My daughter and I love to snorkel so when we wanted to snorkel we just stepped off of our dock. We took full advantage and snorkeled a lot! The food at all the resort restaurants was very good and the drinks (alcoholic) were all very good as well. Every resort employee we talked to or had dealings with was very kind and accommodating. Just an overall great stay! We would definitely recommend!

Our housekeeping staff arrived regularly and kept our room immaculate.The lagoon water was pristine, especially for morning snorkeling, with tons of fish including sharks! We also enjoyed the buffet dinner and Polynesian show. We had an unforgettable week.

We loved our trip to Moorea and the beach and views were beautiful but I have to say that we lost sleep every night because the sliding door has a crack in the bottom by the glass and it whisked in the wind for hours. Very noisy!

Compared with the other hotels we stayed at, the selection for breakfast was very poor and the products were of poor quality. For lunch we got a tasteless, well done burger (we ordered medium). The creperie was decent though and it was cool to observe sharks down. In the end we decided to rent a car and eat outside the resort and that was a very good decision.

Bungalow had incredible views - the lagoon was breathtaking. Loved being able to snorkel off our deck. Really enjoyed the creperie and watching sting rays and black tip sharks swimming below us as we dined! The rooms were clean and very nice. The exteriors of the bungalows are quite worn and need a refresh but it didn't affect our stay.

Staff are very friendly. Resort is beautiful. Rooms are starting to show a little wear. Our door out onto the deck was very difficult to open. Almost needed 2 people to open and close it. The reef right off the over the water bungalows was gorgeous.

Amazing property. Not so good with service. For a place that charges of $1,000 per night you’d think they would staff the front desk and bellman positions so that 20 minute waits are eliminated. It took us that long to check in. It took 20 minutes to get a porter for our bags. It took 20 minutes to check out. It took 20 minutes to get our bags retrieved from the bungalow. The worst part is that the reception leader was present at a desk and never stepped in to help or change anything. I’d still recommend this place because the over-water bungalows are a one of a kind experience. But just a little frustrated too.

Pros: Property looks exactly as pictured and truly breathtaking. We booked the overwater bungalow and loved being able to jump in the clear water for a swim whenever we wanted. Restaurant, pool staff, and housekeeping were so nice and very helpful. Cons: Food is resort food and to be expected. Just okay. Lost a star in the rating for the front desk service. No help with bags on checkout from the bungalows. No help with taxi or transportation like what was offered at the Hilton Tahiti property. Not much help when booking excursions so recommend researching activities before you go.

Two star service at five star prices. Was very disappointed by service, especially front desk and concierge. Reserved a taxi through the concierge for a snorkeling excursion which arrived 40 minutes late causing us to miss our trip. Was told by front desk they spoke with boat captain about delaying departure which was a lie. Boat captain said they never spoke to anyone from the hotel, only us. Also ordered ribeye steak one night for dinner at hotel restaurant. Got "medium rare" pork ribs and told this was ribeye steak. Obviously this could make someone very sick, especially if immunocompromised. This is not 5 star. Maybe try the Sofitel instead. Don't waste your time or money.

This is not a high end resort or at least the price does not match the the service . food is mediocre , concierge service and activity desk are not coordinated and very disorganized , they forgot to schedule the pick up at the airport and forgot to book all The activities confirmed via dozens of emails . I would not recommend this place for high end honey moon . Island is beautiful, people are nice , simply said this hotel should not charge this kind of rate unless it has the service and food to justify it . Many other places offer better experience and service at the same high price.

I rarely ever leave reviews that are negative but this was unbelievably disappointing stay for our honeymoon. We stayed in Tahiti, Bora Bora, and Mo’orea. Our hotels in the former two were great. Hilton Mo’orea was abysmal. To start - we had to call maintenance every day we were there. Here were our calls: 1. We had lizards in our room upon check in. 2. We had no AC middle of night needed them to come fix. 3. We had bug infestation attacking a open can of sprite we had out for couple hours. 4. Toilets and all plumbing for hotel was out so we couldn’t go to bathroom and flush or bathe (THE WHOLE RESORT) for 24 hours. 5. Our shower didn’t work and needed to be fixed. In addition, the food is mediocre bordering bad (except crepe place which was good). The service is awful. We were room 41 and we knew they were laughing at us and talking about us right in our faces when we’d call. This is not luxury nor is it even mediocre. I’ve been to three star hotels that had better accommodations. Avoid and go to Sofitel or Cooks bay. Our honeymoon has sour ending because of this tired, outdated, and uninspired resort. Hilton do better. Not sure how this is 8.8/10 on hotels.com. Fooled us; don’t let it fool you. There are better places to go (we know because we went to dinner at Cooks bay twice to eat real cuisine).

Omg - Moorea became our favorite island to visit and Hilton over water bungalows, its location and amenities and activities certainly played a key role in us falling totally in love with the island. Highly recommended resort to stay atleast once in your lifetime.

The Hilton Moorea was wonderful. It is located centrally to get to either side of the island for shopping, dining and excursions. The location in the lagoon offers beautiful water, a large private beach and spectacular sunrises and sunsets. The property is very nice, immaculately clean and in pretty good fondition. Reviews mentioning it being in need of a refresh are being too overly picky. A few broken tiles here and there and some wood is a little warped but that happens when you’re 7 feet from the ocean. The service was gracious and friendly throughout. We did numerous excursions booked through the hotel (ATV, jet ski, etc) and recommend them all. We had the garden beachfront room with a private pool - room was large and very nice with a lovely private pool. The only criticism I have of the property is that the food is fairly marginal (we had a car and since our food was not included in our rate, we choose to eat out for many meals). There is also very little nightlife at the hotel, in the area and in Moorea in general. Ultimately an A+ but recommend exploring food offsite

This hotel is getting dated. Our family wanted to. Visit Mo’orea for the first time but felt like prisoners here. Extremely high prices & no where near to eat some where else. No cars to rent and no where to shop. You basically are stranded at this hotel. I did not think Mo’rea would be like this but we all felt ripped off.

We had a wonderful stay. The concierge was very kind and helped us recover a bag lost at the cruise terminal. The water is amazing and we enjoyed snorkeling several times. This hotel is a must for visitors to French Polynesia.

This property is a jewel, the hotel is well integrated into the natural environment, the bungalow overwater are amazing and offer a great and comfortable experience. Shower in room is another level The landscaping is well maintained, clean and respectful of the environment. Paddle board, kayaks and snorkeling attire are available to discover the wonders of the lagoon. Staff is always smiling, friendly and helpful. Food is fantastic. I would strongly recommend this hotel

We stayed for 7 nights in a deluxe garden bungalow. The bungalow itself was spacious, private, and having our own pool was awesome. What made our stay special was the amazing staff, at all restaurants, and especially the pool/beach area. They took care of us and we befriended a few of them by the end of the trip! Pierre, Jacques, and I believe Tehopo was his name were all amazing. We stayed at the Hilton Tahiti prior coming to Hilton Moorea, and the Hilton Tahiti was very recently renovated, while Moorea seemed a bit older and more rustic. It could use a bit of a facelift in some areas, paint on the decks, etc. The other suggestion would be an alternative to the breakfast buffet, a cafe with breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, etc. It would be nice to have a lighter breakfast option, as the buffet is not cheap everyday. What made our stay special was the amazing staff, at all restaurants, and especially the pool/beach area. They took care of us and we befriended a few of them by the end of the trip! Pierre, Jacques, and I believe Tehopo was his name were all amazing. We stayed at the Hilton Tahiti prior coming to Hilton Moorea, and the Hilton Tahiti was very recently renovated, while Moorea seemed a bit older and more rustic. It could use a bit of a facelift in some areas, paint on the decks, etc. The other suggestion would be an alternative to the breakfast buffet, a cafe with breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, etc. It would be nice to have a lighter breakfast option, as the buffet is not cheap everyday. We stayed in the overwater bungalow. It was amazing! First of all, the bungalows are laid out well and kept well. The location on the water was beautiful and perfect! My daughter and I love to snorkel so when we wanted to snorkel we just stepped off of our dock. We took full advantage and snorkeled a lot! The food at all the resort restaurants was very good and the drinks (alcoholic) were all very good as well. Every resort employee we talked to or had dealings with was very kind and accommodating. Just an overall great stay! We would definitely recommend!

Fantastic snorkeling and great sunsets. Happy hour was so beautiful and great drinks to watch the sunset! Breakfast is kind of meh but not a lot of other options. Polynesian show was fun, buffet was good. Dinners would get repetitive so it was nice to have some other dinner spots to go to outside of the resort.

Very nicely located hotel with oldish but rather well maintained bungalows. However, the food offer is mediocre. Compared with the other hotels we stayed at, the selection for breakfast was very poor and the products were of poor quality. For lunch we got a tasteless, well done burger (we ordered medium). The creperie was decent though and it was cool to observe sharks down. In the end we decided to rent a car and eat outside the resort and that was a very good decision.

Clean room, staff was very good! Gaelle at the front desk and Mr. T at the pool were outstanding. The Buffet dinner was a disappointment but the Tahitian show was good! The beach and related amenities were good as well. The pool was dice but could have used a hot tub. Everything was pretty pricey!

Excellent property. Bungalows are roomy and well maintained. Crepe restaurant was very good. The other 2 restaurants were average, and the fine dining restaurant has a very limited menu. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Central location on island. Many good dining opportunities within 10 minute drive.

As many other reviewers have noted, the setting is spectacular. The expectation is that such a beautiful property must surely be 5 star rated. But upon closer inspection, its luster quickly wears off. The huts are all tired, and in need of some updating. Wallpaper is peeling, and torn in places, and cleanliness is below average for any level of hotel. Perhaps most disappointing was the quality and variety of the restaurants. They were simply abysmal. Imagine a mediocre breakfast buffet for $50+! Or 2 cups of coffee for $12! Bottom line – if you’re OK with eye candy, gracious hardworking staff, but horrible dining, you’ll be happy with the property. If you want a true Hilton 5 Star experience, you won’t find it at this disappointing location

The overwater bungalow was a great experience. They have done a great job building up the reef in the Lagoon and you get to see a colorful variety of fish, sharks and rays from your room. Even snorkeling in the lagoon is a great experience.

All Staff were very professional, accomodating, very friendly and give you with special treatment. Hotel Manager Daniel Maruhi was very pleasant accomodate us in the same room. And Concierge Fara was able to give us all the directions and shops to go around the island. Love this place. Definitely going back again. Foods were good. Absolutely gorgeous place to stay. Panoramic Over the Water Bungalow is worth the price. And I will definitely come back again this this place. Highly recommended. Super clean resort and not crowded. Then head to St Regis Bora Bora next after.

This hotel was truly amazing like stepping into a postcard! The crystal clear water and magnificent landscaping created a magical, serene atmosphere that made it easy to relax and unwind. One of our favorite parts was snorkeling right outside our bungalow, where we were surrounded by beautiful marine life and breathtaking views. Every moment felt special, and the natural beauty of the property was simply unforgettable. We absolutely loved our stay and can’t wait to return!
