Dog friendliness and comfortable bed with great amenities for guests. Thoughtful tea and coffee for guests to use. I enjoyed my stay with this motel.

Parking is good. Definitely pet friendly saw dogs there. The staff are amazing so friendly best part of visit.

Happyland Inn was easy to check in and out of with a self service key pad. The room / space is big enough for a couple or with a small child. The bedding was crisp and clean, cable TV was easy to set up, although we were in town for The Psychedelic Furs at close by Casino Rama and didn't watch much. Bathroom was clean and has a tub with shower. Microwave and nice size fridge. Cons: there were a lot of Bees/flying insects on the back porch area and someone had left some food out there. Could use a bug zapper. Other than that, a great budget friendly stay. Thanks!

My husband and I had an enjoyable stay. The location is central to everything in the surrounding area. The kitchenette was cost saving and convenient. The bonus was having a second private entrance to a private patio. We would stay again and will also share with others. Thanks, Jay & Lisa

I received the access and Wi-Fi codes ahead of check-in, which made arrival super easy. The room and bathroom were clean and smelled fresh, and it was nice and warm when we entered. The bed was very comfortable, and I appreciated that they had a full cable channel package — great for relaxing after a long day. I also felt safe knowing there were security cameras outside each room. The location is just outside Orillia, so you’ll need to drive about 8–10 minutes into town for dining or groceries, which isn’t too bad. Some people might not love that it’s right along Highway 11, but earplugs were thoughtfully provided. Overall, a comfortable, clean, and convenient stay!

The motel is in a convenient location. The rooms clean and tidy. The drive up parking and access to the rear green space was a bonus. Check I was easy with detail sent by email prior to our arrival. This is a pet friendly motel which is why we picked it. The backyard is great but there was no sign of a garbage can outside. A dumpster on the property was completely filled. We did not see an employee at the time of this review. The small patios behind the units are weed filled and need attention. The motel is on Hwy 11 and you need to be a sound sleeper. That said the property is being renovated and the efforts to update it is obvious. The minor concerns would not stop a return visit.

Motel room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Easy access and convenient location for our needs passing through. No need for front desk having the key coded door was handy as you could come whenever it suited you even in off hours. Back little patio was nice. Is close to the highway so the traffic noise is as expected

It was a great cheap and cheerful stopover for us. The large grassy back lot was perfect for our dog.

Everything you need. Loved that they had coffee cream in the fridge. Shower head is higher than most places, so great for tall people. Staff are very helpful and quick to respond. Patio in the back must be great in the summer.

This inn should never have been on expedia. It is below a 1 star. The room had spider webs, bugs, a strong urine smell and had multiple broken elements. We felt unsafe and had to leave.

Loud, not very clean. Property was rated at 8 on search but should be very much lower. Kitctchen had water damage, bathroom had spiders. Our door was broken, and tv was not working. So the first hour of our stay was spent watching soneone fix the tv whike standing in our room, then fix the broken door.

Perfect for motorcycle day touring. Located in the center of many good back roads and small towns. Easy access to Hwy 11, north or south. Has a small kitchen with frig, toaster oven, microwave, and even a Keurig coffee maker. The door has a digital key pad, so no worry about losing keys. The room is clean and bright. The bed is especially comfortable, nice sheets and blanket.It's a quick 8 km trip to Orilla for any supplies or dinning. Excellent value, I will definitely be back next time.

This was by far the most disgusting place I have ever stayed. I don’t know when they even cleaned it last. Finger prints all over the tables. The sheets were stained even the comforter on top had a giant stain on it. The shoe mat was dirty, the toilet had poo smears all over it. It looked like it was crackville where you would rent the room by the hour. If I wasn’t so tired, I would have just left but now I feel like I need a very long, very hot shower! Gross!

The room was okay however the bathroom had not been cleaned. There were used towels and someone's shirt hanging on the back of the door and the bath mat was on the floor as it had already been used.

It’s quite old but very clean and clearly cared for. The check in & out was super convenient with no contact. They simply send a text with a door code and we left with a text. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. The highway is beside which is loud. They offer ear plugs that I did not use because the air conditioning unit hummed it out like a soothing noise machine. I could see this bothering others but it was fine by me. Overall for the price it matches the expectations. If you’re looking for more then you will pay more. Cheap, convenient stop and clean met my needs.

Bare bones, no extra blankets, tiny tub, good location

The customer service was excellent. They fixed a problem with the air-conditioner instantly. The keyless entry system was convenient. All I needed was a code, unique to me and easy to remember, to unlock the door to my room. It was nice to have a Keurig in the room, although I did not try to use it. I did try to use the toaster oven and micro-wave. Neither worked, but since I did not need them, I didn't bring it to management's attention.

The bedding and towels were clean. Bathtub and bathroom floor were dirty. Kitchen cabinets, floor boards were dirty. Fridge and kitchen sink were nice to have. Interior of fridge was clean. White lights in room were too bright. There was a lot of road noise from cars driving by.

Very clean, comfortable bed, lots of towels - but - very limited furnishings - no place to hang clothes in the bathroom . Obviously a work in progress. The heating was either turned off or not functioning. Nice people but the area around was essentially a trailer rental lot.

The bed was a bit hard and the TV wasn't working but the unit was clean and check in was very smooth. The little backyard was also nice & cute.

Upon arriving at “Happyland” my S/O was not happy. We stayed here for the price and its proximity to Casinorama. Well after check in, we were escorted to our room by the front desk clerk. After she opened the door we were met with a bleach smell that nearly melted our eyes and nostrils. She informed us to leave the back door open for a bit. It was a cooler damp day outside, and in leaving the door open, the room got quite cold. So we attempted to turn heat on to absolutely no avail. The owner came to the room and entered without knocking and asked us “if we needed anything”? My first thought was yes a new hotel room, but I didn’t say that. Instead, we told her the heater wasn’t working. She said that it takes a few minutes to get going. We left it on and headed to Orillia for a few small things for the night. When we got back, the heater still hadn’t turned on and I decided to have a shower before the concert. My girlfriend was sitting on the bed watching TV, as I got out of the shower. We then heard the door opening to our room and the manager walked in and said “ didn’t realize you were here sorry just wanted to check on the heater”. I have never had a hotel manager walk into the room without knocking. Had I been completely naked she would’ve got quite the show. Found numerous dead ticks around the hotel room, and my father who stayed in the adjacent room, found a mouse in his. I guess if you’re just looking for a place to stay for the night go to orillia.

Easy and smooth check-in. Very accommodating and much appreciated for the early check-in. Very friendly and welcoming. Basic as should be expected with a motel but the important things are good. Older space but the care and cleaning of the main items is evident. I would stay again.

This motel is second to none. The rooms are clean, crisp and comfortable and even offer a back door where guests can enjoy the view privately! Check in /out is the most convenient and easy process! The owners/staff are kind, accommodating, helpful, friendly and offer a personalized experience! Thank you to everyone at HAPPYLAND INN!

service was awful. moment we opened the door to the room the smell was unbearable. The cleaning solutions they used were way to strong. after approaching them to let them know that we couldn’t stay there due to health reasons because of the smell they were not willing to refund. Awful place

Clean and updated... right on hwy, can hear the traffic all night. Perfect place to stop and clean up before traveling again

Basic side of the road motel. Was fairly clean was food under the fridge that wasn’t swept up. A little more attention to detailed cleaning needed. But all in all wasn’t bad. Good access to both sides of hwy11 minutes to Orillia.

This was definitely a budget friendly stay. The cleanliness was marginal. Our top sheet and washcloth had stains. The top sheet had very bad stains that looked like it may have been blood that never washed out. Seriously throw it out! We took it off the bed and tossed it one side. The mattress, however, was comfortable. The location is terrible. It’s not close to anything but a noisy highway. It is the first and last time we would ever stay at this place.
