Avoid this place at all costs. I genuinely wish I had slept in my car. I’m amazed this place is operating in its current condition. I spent about 10 years travelling around the world for offshore work and have stayed in a lot of hotels, including some pretty rough ones. This is easily among the worst I’ve ever stayed in. The room was disgustingly dirty and smelled extremely musty. There were dead bugs squashed into the walls and hair throughout the bathroom. The upper floors were unbearably hot. When I asked the front desk about the A/C unit in the room, I was told it was essentially “decorative” and didn’t work. The only window that opens is a sliding glass door—which barely slides—and there is no insect screen. So your choices are an extremely hot room or leaving a large unscreened door open all night. It’s mid-September and the room is still ridiculously hot. I should have read the other Google reviews more carefully before booking because my experience unfortunately matches many of them. If there had been another hotel available in Campbell River tonight, I would have left immediately, refund or no refund. I cannot understand how a hotel operating under the Ramada/Wyndham name is being maintained to this standard. I would be embarrassed to operate a property in this condition. Do yourself a favour and stay anywhere else.

The hallway and bedroom carpets need replacing, there was mould in the bathroom, need bars in bath tub for older people to hold on to. Beds were clean and comfortable, room was warm, couldn’t open the balcony door to cool off the room. There was a small fan in the room that did little to cool the room. Room looked clean, in need of working plugins on lamps. Breakfast was good.

Breakfast was the only good thing. I had requested a ground floor room because my mother uses a cane &/or a walker. We got a second level room. The stairs were disgustingly dirty, the handrail wasn't attached securely, and the room was so small it was difficult to walk around the bed. I would recommend staying somewhere else.
