Marinaterra Hotel & Spa

No tiene sombra las albercas y no hay suficiente higiene en camastros y sillas. En la playa privada no hay camastros en la arena ni sombras. Los precios de alimentos y bebidas son muy altos. La habitación es cómoda y espaciosa, buena señal de wifi y estacionamiento.

Pool was not available

Nice place near the marina is the plus. But there were a few issues, hot tub nonfunctional, no alternate offered, no AC in hallways and elevator. I called front desk several times and each time no answer, after a few times, I asked about my unanswered calls and was told the phone did not work at front desk. Seems odd.

El servicio de limpieza muy malo, realizan las habitaciones los días que consideran no lo hacen de manera diaria. Y la atención del personal muy mala pero sobretodo y hay que mencionarlo el PEOR SERVICIO DE RESTAURANTE que hemos tenido en unas vacaciones. La atención de los meseros y capitanes, nefasta en realidad. Pésima comida y muy pocas opciones tuvimos una muy mala experiencia para la cena de año nuevo. Caro y de muy mala calidad la comida. La crema salada la carne quemada, no nos tocó postre. En verdad cero recomendable el hotel así como los servicios que proporciona como restaurante y áreas comunes. El club de playa no funciona. La alberca fuera de servicio. El bar no funciona. Y en la alberca que funciona el agua está helada no te puedes ni meter a nadar.

The good: The room was clean, ac worked, and great location if I want to be near the Marina. The view of the city is less ideal, but still pretty nice. Lots of night life and there are restaurants opened at 6am if you are doing early morning activities. The bad: the hallway and each room has very thin sound shielding. You can hear most conversations and shouting tourists in the halls...at all hours of the night. Additionally live music is played until 11pm on some nights. Highly recommend ear plugs plus blasting white noise. The room service is okay, they will require you to have a room service card otherwise they will not service your room. Service is completed on the 5th floor around 3:30pm...which is very late. Room service also did not refresh sheets. There is both a public pool for marinaterra (free) and a private pool for the condos/villas that can be rented. The separation is very weird. And multiple elevators and likely service is completely different at a condo/villa. We also had a power outage only for marinaterra which lasted 18hours. Since it was November this was not a big issue. But if it was hotter it would be pretty bad. No lights also means you must have a flashlight (or 3) and I highly recommend a backup battery to charge a phone and light. I had all this with me b/c I was on a diving trip so this was no big deal, but a larger family might have a lot of stress with dead phones and other necessities. Especially when spread across multiple rooms.

El spa fue delicioso, un poco viejo pero las señoritas que te atienden saben dar buenos masajes, la playa es de piedras

Tienen un solo elevador para todo el hotel y es muy lento; en pasillos de hotel para llegar a habitaciones no hay aire acondicionado incluyendo elevador (hace un calorón); no hay rampas suficientes para discapacitados y/o carriolas; no incluye desayuno, el restaurante del hotel está sobre la bahía y es muy caro incluyendo el servicio de bebidas y alimentos de la alberca, en este no te permiten meter tus bebidas o botanas; el estacionamiento es mínimo caben 20 carros (si acaso) para todo el hotel. Las habitaciones muy caras para todo lo que no incluye y les hace falta en el hotel.

Considering that the building is not new is very good. the rooms are clean in general. The only very bad thing I saw was a roach running outside of my room on the wall

Una estadía agradable, se podría mejorar las instalaciones en cuanto a clima (aire acondicionado en pasillos y elevador). Siento que el elevador es insuficiente para las personas que lo utilizan, es pequeño y las puertas se cierran demasiado rápido y fuerte.. el personal muy amable y el check in muy rápido. Las habitaciones podrían mejorar en limpieza.

Encontré una cucaracha grande junto al elevador y otra chica en la habitación además olía muchísimo a drenaje el baño

La habitación estaba bien, la limpieza no era la esperada, había en la regadera pedazo de envoltorio de un jabón y cabello en el piso, las camas y almohadas son cómodas, huele a humedad. El personal de recepción no es el más amable, te tratan como si te estuvieran haciendo un favor si te ven mexicano, sin embargo el personal que maneja la Mini van para traslados al salón dúo es muy atento y amable.

Horrible la atención en el restaurante. Horrible la atención en el lobby . Muy mal encarados . Qué barbaridad no regreso no lo recomiendo . La alberca muy sucia el agua 😟.

Clean and comfortable!!

Los unicos problemas que tuve fue al llegar a recepción en el check-in, fue demasiado lento y no tenina registrada mi reservacion. Tuve otro problema con la limpieza ya que al llegar a la habitación el recipiente de hielos estaba lleno de hongos verdes, pedimos que nos lo cambiaran y asi fue, fue asqueroso pero de ahi el siguiente servico fue muy bien y el lugar esta muy comodo y en general limpio sin tomar en cuenta el asunto anterior.

Super clean and fast check in

lo bueno es que la construccion es de estilo moderno. lo malo es que nos negaron el uso de la piscina poniendo diferentes excusas. lo peor es que no hay wifi en la habitacion. el buffet no esta incluido en el precio de la habitacion. no dan la correcta información para disfrutar de los alrededores y la playa.

No internet the whole weekend and the water was very strong smell in the hallway also the beds was too small and very uncomfortable.. I will not return and I’m not going to recommend that

Una habitación amplia y bastante cómoda

There was no internet connection in my room Multiple calls to front desk did not do anything. I need an internet service for my work. I checked out after one night. Hotel charged me full amount for 5 nights. Hotel policy says they charge one night penalty for cancelations. Multiple calls and email to hotel were ignored. I had to get my credit card company involved. Very poor and dishonest customer service negated all positive things about the hotel.

If you want a peaceful relaxing vacation this isn't the place to be. One side is El Patron loud until 12:30 a.m. then we were switched to the marina side and the yacht club a half a block away had bands every night except Tuesday and Wednesday till 12:30 a.m.. it echoed all the way up the marina into Marina Terra. Boom boom boom. No good sleep. The help tried but English is wanting. We intentionally went in low season to have peace, but found none

Muy bien ubicado, con una arquitectura exterior de lo mejor, frente a la marina con la renta de yates a lado, pero sus habitaciones les urge una remodelación, closets viejos y con insectos, el Gerente de recepción muy mal Humorado, y en si todo el personal de recepción poco servicial, la limpieza de las áreas comunes terrible

La mejor vista a la bahía Agradable trato, buen estacionamiento.

Its a noisy hotel. You can hear other rooms, hallway, etc. And wnen we showed up to check in last night.....at about 7:30pm there wasnt anyone working behind the desk. Had to go find someone to help us.

Check in was easy and hotel staff were kind with good customer service.

Muy lindo el lugar y lo mejor la vista que nos tocó, quizá un poco lento el check in, quiero pensar que fue por que estaba cerca el festivo de independencia. Por lo demás, nada que decir, más que recomendarlo.

Great place to stay in San Carlos. Fantastic view of Tetakawi mountains. It has a Fabulous location very close to restaurants, bars and coffee shops.

This property has several bars around it and has its own events (weddings, etc.). It is loud all night. If you’re there hoping to relax and sleep during the night, you may be frustrated.

I have a few things to say: the restaurant next to the pool was never opened in the evening. And on the day we did go in the day; it was closed. I called the front desk with my cell phone and they took forever to answer. I asked to be transferred to the restaurant and they NEVER answered my phone call; neither from my cell phone nor from the room. It was gross to know there was more than one couple having intercourse in the pool. Gross! I had to get out!! The golf cart driver made some kind of negative remark: seemed upset.

beautiful rooms, amenities, and the views are oustanding. Excellent customer service. The food at El Embarcadero is delicious. What an amazing vacation.

Very disappointed with the restaurant el embarcadero. The food was not great! The service was ok not very friendly. The place has great views and clean. But really lack in the service and food options.

It was a very relaxing experience. They allowed us to check in an hour or so early, the breakfast was an awesome buffet and a great weekday price! They didnt hesitate to give us an extra key when we needed one ans were so polite and professional!

La comida muy mala, los elevadores muy mal y lentos y se quedaban atorados, la atención no fue muy buena, mucha ineficiencias… no lo recomendaría el hotel

Un hotel muy cómodo en realidad aunque la “amabilidad” de recepción deja mucho que desear. Precios excesivamente elevados en el restaurante del hotel y no es realmente bueno.

Muy buena atención, solo el bufete no nos atrajo demasiado
