The room was large and very clean. King size bed was very comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful, but unfortunately the hot tub was broken and completely out of commission.

Room was clean and staff was friendly. We got a room with three queen beds which is rare. Good breakfast, pool and hot tub. Only thing lacking was not enough towels in the pool area. Thank you

We checked in at 7:30 pm. So they had plenty of time to work on our room. Good parts: Comfortable bed, working jacuzzi. Bad parts: - Not so clean bed- it had hairs on pillows and sheets. - Toilet seat - Not cleaned with urine stains on it. - Tubs and jacuzzi had not been cleaned properly. Front desk agent expressed concerns, but response was not met with actions accordingly. I would not recommend staying here when there could be better properties with similar price range!

The elevator needed a wipe down. The bathroom walls were dirty in the bathroom. We liked the suite but it felt very drab with very little decoration. I just felt like everything needed a deep clean. I don't know that I would stay again.

We had a 3 bed family suite. It is an older property. Our suite was filthy. There were cobwebs next to the coffee maker and microwave, a layer of dust on the non-working alarm clocks, stains on the curtains, hair and stains all over the bathtub walls, a layer of dust on the shampoo/conditioner/shower gel containers, stains and a hole in the shower curtain. The room was dark and felt like a prison...blank rooms with beds, side tables, and TVs with the cable box dangling haphazardly on top. The staff were nice and lobby area was fine. We cut our losses and stayed only one night even though we paid for two.

The place was run down and needs to be completely renovated. The carpets in the hallway and stairway had stale and dusty smell. Our room was dusty. The room furniture was all scratched up. The washroom door paint was all bubbly and peeling off. I didn’t even want to hang a towel

This hotel did not have Wi-Fi. They did not bother to let possible guests know in advance and rather simply informed upon arrival. I would not have stayed if I had known.

Room was large and clean (king suite) Had planned to extend our stay another night but glad we didnt was so unbelievably noisy at night. Whole parking lot in front of hotel that fills with semis running all night. Seemed to be a unit on the roof above our room that was so loud. Got no sleep. Tub took forever to drain and made the toilet bubble up. Toilet also plugged. Try to speak to front desk and they walked into the back, no one around when we checked out to talk to.

Internet works poorly! Most sites are not accessible. The ones accessible are very slow. I tried different locations, my room, lobby, hall... none worked. It is unacceptable for a hotel to offer such a poor internet service.

Overall all the staff was not welcoming at all. Speaking to reception seemed like a favor done to us by giving us a room which was booked online at least 3 weeks in advance. One staff member in particular seemed like he was opposed to booking rooms online when I asked about our family of 5 guests with a room that sleeps only 4. His answer was that even if I had entered 6 people for one room online, the system lets you book the room with only 2 queen beds which did not make sense to me because that has not happened to me in the last 20 years of online bookings. There's always at least a sofa bed when booking for 5. He then proceeds to tell us now that's the room we get! Then charged for the roll-away bed. Why is the hotel available on online platforms when this is what the staff has to say to the guests booking online? We were loudly called from behind multiple times during our stay to tell us how to park in the parking lot (not front facing), to tell us not to use the room towels in the pool and it wasn't polite! It's like he was everywhere watching and nitpicking everything. Rooms were small, packed, and not well organized. We felt a massive difference as we had just checked out of a Ramada in Pincher Creek which was an amazing experience. Will never stay at this hotel again!

When I walk into a hotel, I usually get greeted with a hello - the woman on duty the day I arrived completely ignored me for a good five minutes, she was reading something but she saw us - there was another woman behind the desk, she didn't acknowledge us either. When the check in clerk decided to help me, she asked, yes what do you want? My husband and I had been standing there with luggage for the past 5 minutes - I think she knew what we wanted. The whole transaction went through without any pleasantry. No smiles or anything. I thought she was quite rude. As for the room it was good for the money. The pool was fine and the housekeeping staff at least smiled and said hello. We were there 4 nights and only one of the front desk staff smiled and said hello in that time. He was on duty in the evening.

We were a group of 12 with children. Staff were very friendly. I ran out of milk, asked for the nearest location but night staff kindly gave me the cup I needed to get through the night. Thank you for making our stay a wonderful experience.

The lady at the front desk was very rude to talk to. We were standing at the counter for a good 2-3 minutes to let her acknowledge us but she didn’t even look up and when she did she just walked towards the office at the back.

Great location and the view is stunning from our room. The kids enjoyed swimming at the pool. Excellent service. Darwin in the front desk is very accommodating. I asked him where to buy food and places to visit around Golden, and he recommended places to visit and provided the map and flyers. Thank you Ramada.

Stayed a night with full family. Reservation made well in advance but given back side ground floor. Requested to give frontside mountain view but supervisor declined, was bit harsh, and said frontside is given who reserves formore than one night. Felt very bad.

Room was very clean. Bed was comfortable. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Free breakfast was adequate. If you have time, visit the historic downtown area with a walking trail that crosses the Kicking Horse River via the pedestrian wood-framed covered bridge.

We liked the large hot tub and swimming pool. The breakfast was good and the room was clean. I think the staff were very busy, we were only greeted at the door on our arrival.

Check in was great. Room was clean and tidy, bed was comfy. Breakfast room wasn’t great. Front desk girl came in twice but never checked the hot (barely warm) food, or brought any fresh. Hot water wasn’t hot, neither was the coffee. Tables weren’t cleaned. Bit of a shame really.

Bed was soooo comfy, best part of the stay. A/C was also great. Noise from hallway was a bit much, walls/doors seemed thin. Breakfast lacked fruit options and cream for coffee. Eggs were empty the whole 20 minutes I was there and the potato cubes were very dry. Also not enough seating, had to eat off my lap In the lobby.

Courteous and friendly staff. Property right off Highway 1. Plenty of parking. Dressing mirror in the rooom has no lights. Needs to be relocated to a well lit wall. Decent breakfast options for regular diet-with bonus like masala chai. Access from the back door needs secutity like room key. Breakfast options for vegetarians and vegans are very limited. Request to include cheese, tomato, cucumber. Use of paper cups and plastic cutlery are wasteful.

The room contained a Keurig pod machine - I am glad that I had pods with me for us to use. The hotel supplied 4 pods, but I prefer dark roast. There was no tea bag option, but I am fairly certain if our tea drinker had gone to the front desk, tea or tea bags would have been provided. We did not arrive early enough to take advantage of the pool/hot tub or gym, sadly. We would stay here again in future if passing through Golden. The breakfast was adequate. Plain yoghurt option would have been appreciated and, as is normal, there were no gluten-free carb options, but we always travel with g/f carb products for our celiac family members anyway. Fresh fruit would have been a nice touch. That said, the hash browns, scrambled eggs, juice, coffee and the flavoured yoghurt was perfectly adequate. A number of guests were enjoying the pancakes as well.

There was a planned city wide power outage on October 4, the day I visited. The young gentleman manning the front desk was excellent. He was friendly, patient, polite and organized and explained to the guests why the power was out and when it would be turned back on. He also offered flashlight lanterns to guests.

I would have normally given 4 stars for this property. But the wifi was so bad, that I downgraded the score to 3 stars. Otherwise, I had a nice stay in a good room. Staff was helpful too.
