Amazing spot just a short walk from the gondola. We loved the breakfast and the barrel sauna. Rooms were really spacious. Bathrobes for sauna were super fluffy and perfect touch.

The company that operates the hotel had their data hacked in June. No communication was sent to me to inform me about the hack. I was contacted by a party that had obtained my information twice and had to replace my credit card. I consider that poor service. There are no staff at this hotel. I received far too many emails and texts regarding check-in-I guess they were being thorough. The main issue at the hotel is the guests who congregate in the lounge on the main level and can be heard in rooms on the second floor near the stairs above the lounge. The restaurant was great, and the room itself is spacious, clean and well supplied.

As expected, in the shoulder season, there was not much open at the resort. Restaurant and bar were open only on Friday and Saturday, and another one was not open at all. Rooms on the main floor were easy to access, despite the lack of an elevator or lift, but there are several steps up to the main to navigate. Continental Breakfast supplies were plentiful and available at all hours. Rooms are comfortable, spacious and well appointed including the large shower. Very peaceful and quiet environs.

Check in was easy, even with no staff present. Bar and restaurant were open Saturday evening and restaurant in the Kicking Horse resort serves excellent, made-from-scratch pub food. Self-serve continental breakfast was well-supplied and sufficient. Rooms and beds were clean and comfortable. A car is essential here, as most of the resort services are not available at this ime of year.

Very nice, quiet area, it was off season (skiing) so there weren't a lot of people around and the drive up the hill was nice. The bar was quaint and the staff was very friendly and attentive.

We don’t usually stay where there is no staff on site but this was so easy and really straightforward. Check-in is digital and easy, the room was really nice, spotlessly clean and breakfast downstairs self serve and very good. The Jeffrey restaurant downstairs was excellent and full both nights we were there (only open wed to sun) really enjoyed the stay

We enjoyed a comfortable stay at Copper Horse Lodge: quiet, serene, large room with comfy bed, close proximity to the Kicking Horse Mountain ski lift. The staff was attentive and responsive, giving great suggestions for activities in the area.

Spacious rooms and great bathroom and shower. Staff were friendly and food and beverages were stocked throughout the day which was great since many places closed before we were done exploring and hiking. There is no individual A/C but you can open a window and there are fans in the room. Felt very secure and we enjoyed the quiet. It is next to the ski resort so it was 15 minutes from town but the views and drive were lovely. Surrounded by nature so we did see some bears every now and then on our drive. The WiFi was excellent.

Half a block from the gondola, bed was very comfortable, room was larger than average and the place was well maintained. The only issue I had was on check in I wasn’t able to open the instructions for accessing self check in because I had no internet connection. A system that doesn’t rely on having internet service to check in would be nice. Other than that I plan to stay here again.

Everything was great except our room don't have AC it was so hot at night, and our window don't have screen, we can't open it cause we have 3 yr old toddler might fall off in the window.

A nice secluded lodge with beautiful Mountain View’s. Did not anticipate a long mountain drive from town, AC is a window intake machine which allowed many bugs into the room. They did have a nice variety of snacks and food items at their breakfast bar. Due to no in person staff at the lodge. It was difficult to get extra supplies when needed late in the evening.

The room was nice. We had difficulty doing our check-in because we didn’t receive our room number in the original texts for self checkin. I did the 24 hour text but I ended up calling the text number. About a 20-30 minutes later, I received the text. Having never done a self checkin before, I wasn’t sure if the reason I didn’t get the room number ahead was because we needed to be on the premises. After that, in the middle of the night there was a loud vibration coming through our wall. We were very near the lobby so we heard all the talking. The room was fine and the bed was comfortable, however, the pillows were ok.

my room's toilet was blocked on 11:00 pm . when i call the front D' man. he just say no tech was on duty now. but when we was get up 6:30 am the bathroom was flooded. finally the front girl just gave me a bottle W & say sorry. how did you feeling about it?

Comfy mattresses, wonderful location near the Kicking Horse Lodge up on the mountain overlooking Golden, walking distance from the gondola/ski lift, along with its grizzly bear refige, hiking and biking trails, and even rock climbing. Stunning vistas at the top and the Eagle's Eye Restaurant, too. We stayed here for one night and arrived late. I have back issues, but was quickly offered luggage unloading. Some complained about the lack of AC, but our host, Gordon, loaned us a fan that did the trick. For added excirement, the entire area had power failures late at night, due to a storm. But, it didnt bother our stay. And it impacted every lodge up there. Gordon went the extra mile to make sure we enjoyed our stay, sharing tips about the trails, bear refuge, and gondola. We had a memorable experience here. The Wifi worked great. We brought our own Amazon FireTV dongle and streamed AppleTV movies and YouTube with no issues at all.

As expected, in the shoulder season, there was not much open at the resort. Restaurant and bar were open only on Friday and Saturday, and another one was not open at all. Rooms on the main floor were easy to access, despite the lack of an elevator or lift, but there are several steps up to the main to navigate. Continental Breakfast supplies were plentiful and available at all hours. Rooms are comfortable, spacious and well appointed including the large shower. Very peaceful and quiet environs.

Isolated location ! Only a few hotels and lodges around ! Loved the mountain road to access the property from Golden ! Very scenic location !

Self-serve continental breakfast was well-supplied and sufficient. Rooms and beds were clean and comfortable. A car is essential here, as most of the resort services are not available at this ime of year.

Great location, unfortunately all the activities at the resort were closed. Breakfast was okay. Complete self-service was an interesting experience.

This properties within the walking distance of the downhill mountain biking trail. There are a few shops and places to eat. The property itself is very nice with a large spacious, clean room, excellent bed and the pantry shared with the rest of the property that was fully stocked with coffee, tea, fruit yogurt, milk cereal, so you could make your breakfast or eat a snack at any point during the day.

Lovely place to stay but the air con is very noisy as it’s vented out the window. The coffee machine was broken and despite all of our best efforts we could see it had been jammed for some time. The restaurant downstairs is excellent and really made our stay great!

My family stayed in the room with 2 queen beds (myself, my husband, my daughter and her wife). The room was super spacious, clean and the beds were very comfortable. The biggest downside was the breakfast and breakfast area. There are only two regular tables, so we had to have breakfast on the couch using the coffee table. Also, make sure you understand what the breakfast consists of: some bottled juices, Italian pop, coffee and milk. Different breads but limited options to actually use on the breads. Muffins ran out and it took a while for them to bring back more. No cheese other than cream cheese, which I thought was odd. All in all, I would not stay here if the breakfast was an important or defining point.

We don’t usually stay where there is no staff on site but this was so easy and really straightforward. Check-in is digital and easy, the room was really nice, spotlessly clean and breakfast downstairs self serve and very good. The Jeffrey restaurant downstairs was excellent and full both nights we were there (only open wed to sun) really enjoyed the stay

Check-in and out was easy despite us doing so after hours without the presence of staff. Breakfast fare was plentiful and available at all hours. Note that there is only one road into the property and we encountered a sign stating that the bridge connecting the lodge to Golden would be closed between 11pm and 7am.

Booked this property for proximity to the gondola, 10/10. The breakfast was the biggest surprise — probably the best continental breakfast we’ve had at a hotel. All the milk options (oat, almond, cream, milk), lots of protein options (shout-out to the egg bites, but there was also hard boiled eggs, peanut butter, etc), fruit and cereal. Can’t comment on the staff because we never saw any— it’s a property seemingly designed for minimal interaction.

The communication and self check in was great. We arrived later, and check in went well. The coffee insuite and breakfast self serve food options available were a great touch. Others staying there were friendly. It felt like home and we'd definitely stay there again.

A quick stay in Golden with son and grandson. The lodge was beautiful. Our son used the sauna twice after hiking and in the morning before our departure. The breakfast was perfect, coffee was great and the young lady in house keeping was so very pleasant. We will definitely stay here again our next trip to Golden.
