The Waterside Inn

The location of this hotel is great. Being right across the street from the lake with easy walks to lakefront parks and restaurants, but the hotel itself is tired and lacks amenities. Our room had a wonderful balcony, but no furniture on it to sit out there and enjoy. There was a coffee maker in the room, but only powdered creamer, no real cream; no little shop to get juice or snacks. I never saw a vending machine. Hallways had that stale smoke smell like the carpeting hadn't been cleaned since smoking was allowed. No shuttle to airport.

Hotel is very tired. Staff only do the minimum and appear uninterested. Given they have no bar or restaurant, you would think they’d at least provide coffee in the lobby.

I’ve stayed at this hotel twice and love a lot about it: the rooms are spacious and nicely decorated . There are full sized bathtubs and the neighbourhood is wonderful. I will be back. One item of note is there is a club around the corner with live music 7 nights a week which could be disruptive to some. The hotel is close to the go train station and has a lot of great restaurants nearby. The fitness center is a bit lacking. But, as I mentioned, I will be back.

It’s a strange hotel set up as small apartments for long stays but it’s very feasible for city access and clean and the price point is excellent. There are virtually no amenities onsite but many in the area.

Surprising that they do not have an electrical car charging station.

The hotel was fine good other than the treadmill didn’t work and the front desk advised me that it hadn’t worked for a long time.

A great location with so many restaurants within walking distance Our room was huge and the beds were very comfortable. Our only complaint was that the hotel did not provide ice.

Parking was across the street. Room was clean, but quite dated. Old tv, cabinets falling apart, no toaster or tea towel to dry dishes. Staff were friendly. Scratchy toilet paper.

The hotel is in a great area within walking distance to many restaurants. You can’t drive your vehicle to the front door which is a bit of an inconvenience if you have lots of stuff, it’s about 25 meters from the drop off area to the front door so not a deal breaker. Parking was free but you had to park in a lot across the street. The rooms were dated but clean. It’s a partial hotel/condo with people living there.

Got woken up to insect bites in bed on the first night. There are also other unprofessional handlings from certain staff members

Stayed over 3 weeks with my daughter and had a very disappointing experience, especially for a hotel that calls itself “boutique” and charges approximately $250/night. One night, we were locked out of our room late at night and no one was at reception. I waited over 15 minutes, left a voicemail for the manager, and emailed — no reply. When the receptionist returned from outside, she said it was an “emergency” and claimed she was only gone 7 minutes (not true), offered no apology, and even told me the key wasn’t assigned to our room — though it was the same one we’d used all stay. Her attitude was rude, defensive, and consistently unwelcoming, with eye-rolling and cold behavior. The key stopped working again the next night — same staff, same dismissive tone, and again, no response from management. Room cleanliness was poor — dusty baseboards, dirty fridge, and a toilet that ran constantly and was never fixed. Despite the long stay, I had to ask for basic things like vacuuming and sheet changes. The kitchen had no pots or pans, making it unusable. When I checked out, no one asked about my stay or said thank you. A completely unprofessional experience for a “boutique” hotel as they claim. I would not recommend this hotel — especially not for families or long-term stays.

Very clean and comfortable

When we got back from our event later in the evening after checking in, We had ants all over the living room and front corridor of the room. When I called the front desk they told me it was too late to do anything about it

We found our room needed to be cleaned. The furniture was so dirty I placed a shawl on the chair to sit. Lots of dead flies around the windows. Definitely needs to be redecorated. Even the plants outside were dead.

The room smell bad! The sheets were not clean ! ….

Stayed for the weekend attending a wedding. This hotel is a repurposed apt building. Large 1 br units have a separate bedroom, a kitchenette and seating area. Perfect for visitors or relaxing. Suite is clean. Nice view from the balcony of a small marina with lots of public parks and walking trails. Lakeshore rd is steps away offering an abundance of places to eat/shop. Parking was free. Tbh I didn't feel safe walking the area at night. During the day it was fine. No problems checking in. For the price this hotel has excellent value. Would recommend.

It was a big room, a lot bigger than a hotel room and the views from the room were amazing

Internet access was not stable, even low bandwidth apps were buffering. Ended up using my cell as a hot spot. Too bad

Very spacious and well furnished room with lovely duvet and water view. Great to walk to the shops and restaurants and on the board walk.

Great location, we enjoyed staying in the one bedroom apartment rooms. Nice views of the lake.

Very nice hotel on the water. Great location to walk to lively area with restaurants, bars, ice creamery, market etc. most importantly, because it is so close to lively area the nearby bars will play loud music until the mandatory cut off at 11pm. If you are an early riser this may not be the best for you, but worked well for us. They also do not do any room attendant services on Sunday. However the other days the room was kept in an impeccable condition after cleaning.

Location is perfect but the rooms themselves could use some updating. It felt like walking back into 1980’s.

The staff were excellent and very attentive in getting items resolved in the room. Unfortunately our room on the fifth floor faced a bar that had live groups on until 22:00 so it was noises until then. Then on the final night there was a party with loud music until 1:00 a.m. Basically the room needed better sound insulation. However, we did enjoy our stay

In the heart of Port Credit. Across from the Port Credit harbour with several interesting shops and restaurants just steps away. It is also within walking distance of the Port Credit GO train station. Great venue to celebrate special occasions. I understand the property was a former condo building, transformed into a hotel, thus all the rooms have a separate bedroom,

The front desk staff and house keeping was great ! Very accommodating to our needs and the view was amazing !

Front desk gave key to someone at 1:30am to our room without id or calling up to see if we were expecting someone at this hour. They tried to get in our room……we were terrified. Will not be staying there again. Also rooms are in a terrible need of updating

The staff were excellent with prompt and professional help which made my vacation feel 5 *. I felt safe being a lone older woman visitor to Canada and was given lots of tips about the local area for great walks and shopping etc. The views over the Port were amazing. I cant wait fro my next vacation and to return to the Waterside Inn

I book everything through Expedia and this was probably one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The guests in the room next to us were laughing, yelling, screaming for hours well into the 2am clearly drunk. Even staff admitted they could hear it themselves, all they did was “send security.” After security left, they got louder. When I asked us to be moved or for another solution, I was told to call the police. No follow up, no check in, zero accountability. To top it off, when we checked out, we were told we had a “late checkout” we didn’t even know about. The area is cute, but the service and handling of issues were unacceptable. Won’t be back.

The staff accommodated our kitchen requirements and brought up everything we needed within minutes of asking as a few items like toaster and a kettle. Very professional and courteous!

First room was renovated and nice but moved us because the toilet leaked. Gave us an old, non-renovated room. Room not properly cleaned, only partial supplies in room. Housekeeping staff wonderful when asked for things for the room. Kind, helpful! Front desk staff had unwelcoming, abrupt on first two days. Gentlemen on last day pleasant.

Beautiful location. Easy access parking. Each staff member I engaged with was pleasant, friendly and helpful.

There was no one at the front desk when we got there to check in. We rang the bell, looked around but no one in sight. There was a note that said "I am away and will be back".!! No phone number, no time mentioned as to when they would be back. Half an hour later someone shows up and instead of apologizing this not so bright guy says "I left a note that I am away"!!. Seriously? How did this note add any value to the customer who could see with their eyes that no one was there? No contact phone number, no time as to when they would be back, nothing! Did this person even clear grade school?

Nice hotel by the water. Property is getting on in age but it is well cared for. The parking situation isn’t the greatest but the proximity to shops and restaurants is great.

Within walking distance to the Port Credit GO station making it easy to get to downtown Toronto for events

The hotel is in a great location outside Toronto. It is next to the lake, a shopping district with lots of restaurant options & walking distance to the train that goes to Toronto. Quiet, nice outlook, good kitchen facilities & a cimfy bed.

Great location, close to plenty of restaurants and eateries. Easy walking access to the GO train to get to downtown Toronto. Loads of space in the apartment- we had the 2 bedroom option. Bathroom large and nice kitchen area. Living area could have been cleaner.

We had a great stay. A great location with walking trails close by. It is a beautiful area right by the water.

Please open the restaurant for guests to have breakfast. The website indicates room service also which doesn't exist.

Self contained Hotel Apartment with all facilities included excluding a washing machine. Friendly and helpful staff. I did not like fact that there is no breakfast or restaurant within the hotel operational even though the hotel does have a restaurant but only open to external events and not to guest.

Wonderful location. Biggest rooms we’ve ever stayed in! Friendly staff. Highly recommend!

Wish it had a place to dine in the hotel. Rainy day, would have been convenient.

Warm hospitality is lacking; check in, coming in & out of hotel. States breakfast is included but not available as restaurant is permanently closed. Minimal amenities in the room. Full kitchen but hard pressed to find anything other than a few glases & plates. On the plus side there are numerous restaurants to choose from within walking distance & the marina is a beautiful place for a walk
