We arrived late al night and there was someone waiting for us. They gave us an upgrade to a mini suite and it was excellent. It was big with all the amenities. It had a wonderful view of the port. Breakfast was very good and the location unbeatable. Also it has a very convenient parking right beside the hotel. Highly recommended!!!

This is the place to stay in Chania! We traveled to Greece in late April for Easter and stayed 3 nights at the hotel Porto Veneziano. It's the perfect spot! It's nestled into the back of the inlet with a fantastic view of the lighthouse. Right on the water! Most of the foot traffic is from those going the lighthouse. Otherwise, especially at night, the walkway is quiet. Despite being set back from the harbor, from the Veneziano it's an easy stroll to the many shops, restaurants, and tavernas Chania has to offer. Also, the hotel is a great launching point to various day trips. We went to the Elafonisi beach (they loan you beach towels). Port Veneziano itself is just what you would expect from a classy waterfront hotel. The hotel lobby is comfortably clean as are the rooms. If the weather is right they can open the doors to the many outside tables with umbrellas. All this with service, morning til night. On the bar side there is a delightful terrace with tables to enjoy your morning coffee. They have a great dining room. Breakfast is substantial and stays open til 10:30. The restaurant in the evening serves delicious dishes that deserve mentioning. The parking is free and I was never without a space. It's also in the back and side of the hotel with a gate and security cameras monitored by the front desk. The rooms have balconies and I would look for one facing the water. The staff is one of the things that set them apart. Check in was easy with compliments going out to Vasili

Stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights in mid-September before moving down to the south coast. It had been booked for many months as we wanted to secure a nice sea view room having never visited Chania town before. Upon arrival we were greeted by Katerina who informed us that we had been upgraded to a suite (room 308), fantastic we've never had an upgrade for anything before! The room was beyond our expectations. Spacious with beautiful views over the Venetian harbour from our 2 balconies! Cannot fault anything about this accommodation, it was super clean & fresh, good quality toiletries, hospitality tray with coffee machine refreshed every day along with bottled water. Breakfast was excellent, so much choice from the buffet and 'cooked to order' options too. The hotel arranged our taxi transfers from the airport and to the bus station on our departure. This hotel is located in the marina part of the harbour and has its own car-park, this makes it accessible to taxis so you do not have to walk more than a few yards with your luggage to reception. I mention this because our 2nd hotel when we arrived back from the south coast was located in the heart of the old town where vehicle access is very much restricted and therefore not so easy especially for those with limited mobility, we had to walk through the narrow streets in order to meet our taxi transfer. A beautiful hotel, very friendly and professional staff, will stay again when next in Chania.

I can’t speak highly enough about this hotel. It has an amazingly helpful staff. Tons of great recommendations to see and do. Everything is with a 10 minute walk. The breakfast was fantastic. It had a buffet and a hot breakfast option. The hotel has beach towels and beach umbrellas available. Good parking options as well. Best hotel for the $$.

Always an awesome stay! This is our go-to hotel in Chania. The rooms are quiet and spotless. The staff from the front desk to dining room to housekeeping are always professional and friendly. The location is perfectly situated at the far end of the harbor with lovely views. Yet still within walking distance of great restaurants and plenty of shops. The breakfast is stellar. And the onsite restaurant offers some of the best homemade dolmades we’ve ever had. Next time we will try the made-to-order galaktobouriko. An added bonus is their onsite parking. I highly recommend this hotel.

Incredible location and wonderful staff make this a perfect base from which to explore Chania Old Town. There are a couple of bicycles available (only a couple) and you can ride to the nearby beach for a swim. The hotel can help you rent a car, arrange tours, and find activities nearby - every recommendation I got was excellent. If you can, be sure to book a sea view room, and do it directly with the hotel! I made my reservation with Expedia, and I did not get the sea view room I wanted despite paying for it (the site claims I did not make this selection, but I am absolutely positive that I did). The city view rooms are a little depressing and claustrophobic, but the wonderful management and staff made it pleasant to be out of the room enjoying the gorgeous view, the people watching, and the excellent breakfast from the hotel.

We only stayed one night but we had a nice room although very small. It may have been one of the smallest we’ve ever stayed in but it was bright and clean as was the bathroom. The location was in the quiet end of the harbor making it great for dining and walking and shopping but also quiet for sleeping. The breakfast was decent.

Fantastic service at reception, very warm and friendly staff. The room was extremely clean with good quality bedding and towels and a comfortable bed. We were pleased to get a variety of news channels on the tv and we were given a complimentary bottle of prosecco with fresh fruit to celebrate our anniversary. If anything, we found the dinner menu a little disappointing.

Good quality hotel in a convenient location. Easy flat walk to the old town and main harbour area. Quiter end of the harbour but still plenty of atmosphere and nice views. Hotel stag were friendly and helpful. Excellent quality breakfast in a picturesque setting. Free parking onsite. Chania (old town in particular) is a charming and interesting harbour town with plenty of atmosphere and excellent dining options. The area is clean, well kept and feels safe. We highly reccommend this hotel.

Our third stay at this lovely harbour front hotel. Right on the edge of the old town, it is easy to access and has it's own car park, while also being steps away from restaurants, the walkway to the lighthouse and the old mosque. The rooms are only small but beautiful and the bed is big and very comfortable. The walk in shower is excellent. The rooms at the front look down on the harbour and it is wonderful to sit on the balcony in the evening and watch the world go by. Breakfast is great, the staff are friendly and the food in the restaurant is delicious.

Cannot fault anything about this accommodation, it was super clean & fresh, good quality toiletries, hospitality tray with coffee machine refreshed every day along with bottled water. Breakfast was excellent, so much choice from the buffet and 'cooked to order' options too. The hotel arranged our taxi transfers from the airport and to the bus station on our departure. This hotel is located in the marina part of the harbour and has its own car-park, this makes it accessible to taxis so you do not have to walk more than a few yards with your luggage to reception. I mention this because our 2nd hotel when we arrived back from the south coast was located in the heart of the old town where vehicle access is very much restricted and therefore not so easy especially for those with limited mobility, we had to walk through the narrow streets in order to meet our taxi transfer. A beautiful hotel, very friendly and professional staff, will stay again when next in Chania.
Stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights in mid-September before moving down to the south coast. It had been booked for many months as we wanted to secure a nice sea view room having never visited Chania town before. Upon arrival we were greeted by Katerina who informed us that we had been upgraded to a suite (room 308), fantastic we've never had an upgrade for anything before! The room was beyond our expectations. Spacious with beautiful views over the Venetian harbour from our 2 balconies! Great location at the end of the Venetian port. Heaps of choices for food, drinks, shopping and excursions. Although it’s in the heart of the vibrant old city the rooms are quiet with the balcony doors shut. Bed was comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean.

Loved this hotel. Probably the most comfortable hotel I've stayed at in Europe. We had the one bedroom Seaview suite. Three closets! Beautiful view of the harbour. Friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast. Loved everything about this hotel. Would definitely stay again.

Location of sublime! Tons of restaurants nearby, really good ones too. Lots of shopping as well. Breakfast buffet was very impressive, top quality and exceptional. My only issue was that the room was very small and more suitable for one person, not two. Otherwise, an excellent option. Private parking as well which we appreciated.

Fantastic service at reception, very warm and friendly staff. The room was extremely clean with good quality bedding and towels and a comfortable bed. We were pleased to get a variety of news channels on the tv and we were given a complimentary bottle of prosecco with fresh fruit to celebrate our anniversary. If anything, we found the dinner menu a little disappointing.

Always an awesome stay! This is our go-to hotel in Chania. The rooms are quiet and spotless. The staff from the front desk to dining room to housekeeping are always professional and friendly. The location is perfectly situated at the far end of the harbor with lovely views. Yet still within walking distance of great restaurants and plenty of shops. The breakfast is stellar. And the onsite restaurant offers some of the best homemade dolmades we’ve ever had. Next time we will try the made-to-order galaktobouriko. An added bonus is their onsite parking. I highly recommend this hotel.

Incredible location and wonderful staff make this a perfect base from which to explore Chania Old Town. There are a couple of bicycles available (only a couple) and you can ride to the nearby beach for a swim. The hotel can help you rent a car, arrange tours, and find activities nearby - every recommendation I got was excellent. If you can, be sure to book a sea view room, and do it directly with the hotel! I made my reservation with Expedia, and I did not get the sea view room I wanted despite paying for it (the site claims I did not make this selection, but I am absolutely positive that I did). The city view rooms are a little depressing and claustrophobic, but the wonderful management and staff made it pleasant to be out of the room enjoying the gorgeous view, the people watching, and the excellent breakfast from the hotel.

The hotel has the most efficient and nicest employees. My boyfriend and I arrived at the hotel the night of Aug 16th, after an extremely long and exhausting flight from New York. I realized I made a mistake with the the room's reservation and had a tantrum. Instead of ignoring me and blaimg me; the lady at the desk was very sympathetic. Our third stay at this lovely harbour front hotel. Right on the edge of the old town, it is easy to access and has it's own car park, while also being steps away from restaurants, the walkway to the lighthouse and the old mosque. The rooms are only small but beautiful and the bed is big and very comfortable. The walk in shower is excellent. The rooms at the front look down on the harbour and it is wonderful to sit on the balcony in the evening and watch the world go by. Breakfast is great, the staff are friendly and the food in the restaurant is delicious.

Loved this place. Breakfast was excellent!! The desk staff we was over the top; helpful, friendly, and informative. They did everything to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable. The waitstaff was attentive and knowledgeable. The views, the best in Chania of the old port and for a lovely walk to the lighthouse. We would stay here again every time.

We arrived late al night and there was someone waiting for us. They gave us an upgrade to a mini suite and it was excellent. It was big with all the amenities. It had a wonderful view of the port. Breakfast was very good and the location unbeatable. Also it has a very convenient parking right beside the hotel. Highly recommended!!!

This is the place to stay in Chania! We traveled to Greece in late April for Easter and stayed 3 nights at the hotel Porto Veneziano. It's the perfect spot! It's nestled into the back of the inlet with a fantastic view of the lighthouse. Right on the water! Most of the foot traffic is from those going the lighthouse. Otherwise, especially at night, the walkway is quiet. Despite being set back from the harbor, from the Veneziano it's an easy stroll to the many shops, restaurants, and tavernas Chania has to offer. Also, the hotel is a great launching point to various day trips. We went to the Elafonisi beach (they loan you beach towels). Port Veneziano itself is just what you would expect from a classy waterfront hotel. The hotel lobby is comfortably clean as are the rooms. If the weather is right they can open the doors to the many outside tables with umbrellas. All this with service, morning til night. On the bar side there is a delightful terrace with tables to enjoy your morning coffee. They have a great dining room. Breakfast is substantial and stays open til 10:30. The restaurant in the evening serves delicious dishes that deserve mentioning. The parking is free and I was never without a space. It's also in the back and side of the hotel with a gate and security cameras monitored by the front desk. The rooms have balconies and I would look for one facing the water. O Porto Veneziano Hotel é administrado pela mesma família há cerca de 2 gerações. Após curta caminhada chega-se ao centro de compras e, mais adiante, na estação rodoviária, que dispõe de ônibus para as principais praias da região e cidades próximas. Equipe de funcionários atenta, simpática, educada e prestativa. Observei que ao lado do hotel há um pátio de estacionamento. Foi possível realizar um check-out tardio mediante pagamento de meia díária. Altamente recomendado.

A pretty clean room, small but efficient, extremely quiet, comfortable bed, great working AC, internet is good but ask them how to log on using the key on the tv screen, breakfast was fantastic - loads of options and friendly service. Right on the water.
