Comfort Inn Birmingham - Irondale

Carpet was wet, like they shampooed, but smelled very bad. The carpet left a terrible smell on shoes and you could not walk barefoot.

Good for a one nights stay. Staff is friendly and breakfast is decent. Rooms could use some maintenance.

This motel definitely needs an update. The bathroom sink is so low it is painful to bend over to use it and I am short. The closet door could not close. The sofa sleeper was so high that your legs dangle and it was like sitting on a brick.

The “reading” really showed how NOT white the bedspread and sheets were. The same went for the washcloths. Either they need more bleach or new ones. The housekeeping staff came to the door 3 times to see if we checked out. After explaining we had a dementia parent with us, they were very understanding as to why it was taking us a while to get out of our room

Rooms were clean and staff was very friendly. Stay here every year for the car races at Barber
