Hampton Inn Birmingham/Mountain Brook

We booked ahead for three nights. Confirmed on our reservation email. No record of our booking for Friday night. The woman at check in did not care and did not try to help us. Came back Saturday (we had prepaid) to find a dirty hotel and dirty room. Terribly run down place. Not at all like the Hampton Inns we have stayed in over the years.

One night stay. Friendly staff. clean room, good breakfast

Food crumbs all over, hairs in the bed and dirty towels

Hotel overall needs a total gut job. My room had an electrical wire running on top of the carpet running the width of the room. It ran along the side of the bed. At the midpoint, it was connected via an extension chord and where it went past the end of the bed, it was tacked down on top of the carpet with blue tape. I’ve never seen that in a hotel room, ever. The woman working front desk was very nice, very engaging. Staff good, brick & mortar way below standard.

Awful! Outlet in bathroom didn’t work! So noisy! Got no sleep at all!
