Quality Inn Milan-Sandusky

Property is not secured. Side door would not close all the way, anyone could just walk in. Property is also located on a busy intersection. This made sleeping difficult for a light sleeper like me. This hotel is currently being remodeled so the whole lower level is in shambles. Overall this to me is a run down out dated hotel that would make do in a pinch. But we will not be staying there again.

Staff was friendly. The hot tub and indoor pool were extremely dirty. Very unsanitary. The outdoor area had a lot of paint chipped away in and around the pool. For the breakfast, the juice machine was broken, and no alternative was given when asked.

The clerk was excellent, very helpful and friendly. The exercise Room was dismal. I had hoped to stationary bike but there was none. There were two treadmills and one other stepping machine. Both treadmills were out of order.

The rooms were clean but the entrances were dirty the ice machines looked like they had never been cleaned. Lots of garbage and cigarette butts all by the entrances and parking lot. Outside doors were not secured anyone could walk in without needing a key card. Indoor pool area had no towels pool and hot tub had bugs in the bottom had not been cleaned in some time. The tiles and concrete were all chipped and cracked around the hot tub and pool. Poor breakfast offering. Milk was sour only a couple cold cereal no fresh fruit only one waffle iron worked. I wouldn't stay there again or recommend it to anybody.

So we stay here often. For the use of the two pools and hot tub. This is the second time we've stayed here at the pool and hot tub were unusable. Which is the entire reason we stay here. It's also a good deal...but not when you can't use what you paid for.

This was an amazing hotel for the price. It seemed recently redone. The staff was super friendly. Our only issue was that the hot tub wasn’t full nor was it hot.

Remodeling is taking place so only the top floor is only floor usable. Getting to the pool you had to walk down stairs and through construction. The outside door also didn’t require any key card or anything to get in so anyone could walk in.

This property was in the midst of a makeover so it was kinda a mess but the updates were needed and look good in the room we were in. Didn't like that had to go outside to go to the indoor pool from second building and also didn't like that there was only waffles for hot breakfast would have liked some small amount of eggs and bacon or sausage for options

Our stay was very comfortable for one night on a cross country trek. The beds were comfy with soft linens. The outdoor pool and hot tub were closed for maintenance, sadly.

The hot tub was not hot, barely warmer than the pool. We chose this hotel for the hot tub and it not working as it should was a disappointment.

Bugs on the floor on arrival, bed bugs in bed—bites on arm and face—stains on sheets, mold in fridge- pictures attached. I was soooo disappointed. Only the property staff were so nice and friendly. Very sparse continental breakfast. Machine broken……

The bathroom was not cleaned. There was fecal matter around the base of the tub. There was a spider in a web behind the bathroom door. The tub was stained and gross with no drain. The bottom of the bathroom door was smashed out so you could see into the main room. Plus, the parking lot was noisy all night long with workmen and trucks talking loudly and bumping and banging around. A Mexican speaking man was in the hallway in his underwear. That was creepy and disturbing! Probably won't be rushing back there again. Staff was fabulous! Breakfast Lady was so sweet and helpful.

The room was not clean, the tv wouldn’t turn on and the shower had no pressure or warmth. Significant mold in the bathroom

The towels and blankets all had stains on them, the shower curtain was moldy. The lobby, halls and room smelled disgusting. the staff was nothing but nice and wonderful

Room was clean and the staff were friendly. A few more options at breakfast would have made a nice addition.

The room was not clean at all. The ice bucket was stored in the bathroom. There were dead bugs and stains on everything and the room was falling apart. There was no one at the front desk at night when needed.

Could not even stay the night at the hotel because we found bed bugs in there. Left the hotel and had to pay to get our clothes sanitized. Would never go back to this hotel again.

The room was not cleaned. Bed still messy from last guest. Trash overflowing and bathroom full of used towels.

Black mold on bathroom wall. Used bar of soap left in shower. Dirty floors. Running toilet all night.

Very noisy at night. People slamming doors. Bed very uncomfortable. Bedspread looked like someone put cigarettes out on it. Floor dirty. Bathtub dirty. Breakfast awful no fresh anything! Coffee lukewarm. No staff around. Staff for Check out was nonexistent . Waited 20 minutes. Just left. If I could I would cancel and try to get money back

The room was ok. Beds were very comfortable, ac worked well, tv was small, bathroom needs a deep cleaning. There is no elevator which was inconvenient. The pool needs compliant tiles, i almost fell because it was so slippery. The breakfast was bad. Only waffles. Also, the doors dont close so well so getting woke up because of people slamming doors was an all night thing.

The walls were thin, but other than that it was clean, neat, and everything was easily accessible.

Receptionist at check in and check out was amazing, friendly and professional. Rooms were huge. Everything looked new and well maintained, just not very clean. The one bed was dirty, there were rocks and hair on the bed between the pillows and on the sheets. The bathroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned. There was hair and grime everywhere. When we woke up in the morning there was mouse poop on the side table. So cleanliness was poor but everything else was good. It’s cheap and easy to access from the highway and not far from the main area that has restaurants and shops. Also a convenient distance from Cedar point.

Double beds, didn't realize that, so with 2 adults and 2 teenage kids, this was cramped quarters. We don't normally stay at hotels that offer double beds so ... so it was a surprise, but shouldn't have been if we read the details better, so that's on us. Now for the place, it's ok. It's 2 buildings, 1 with elevator and 1 without (it seems), so be sure to get accessible room if that is something you need for you/your guests with you. The lobby is ok, the breakfast is on par with other hotels that have continental + waffle maker breakfast spread. Nothing special but nothing bad either. The indoor pool is fine, except if you have to walk from building "2" over to the pool, the fitness center, the lobby, the breakfast, the anything ... you have to GO OUTSIDE whether nice or snowing or raining or ... you get it. dumb setup (if you get a room in building 2). The room was recently "remodeled". The beds were ok, again double-beds, so small but comfortable, frankly. We did not have ANY waste basket at all, not in the room, not in the bathroom ... we had to use the laundry plastic bag for the garbage. Front desk was told but they just said "we'll make a note" and offered nothing, not to fix, not to adjust, nothing ... brilliant ... not! Also, we had 4 people, and received, I think 1 bar of soap for hand washing and 1 for the shower, if that matters to you. Also the lotion (small bottle that people just take) was partially used. Shower ok, head very low.

The hotel was good and clean. Things to know the rooms are double beds and would be much better as queen. Walls could use added soundproofing between rooms so we could hear neighbours' TV all night also noisy being close to the highway. And the door sticks so had to slam it to close. The renovation looks to have only been new flooring. Breakfast doesn't have sausage or scrambled eggs.

Rooms were average clean nothing fancy

Facilities were nice, but our room and the hall had an unpleasant, musty smell.

Room was clean and spacious. I was in the back building and just wish the doors to the building required a key card to enter. I was traveling alone and arrived in the evening so that gave me an uneasy feeling.

The room phone was broken. The TV had issues had to get someone in twice. Noise during our first night stay was terrible.

After a horrible experience at the last hotel we was at it was a relief to finally find a nice one that we enjoyed staying at. Becki at the front desk was amazing..super friendly an very helpful. She could tell l was in a lot pain with my back an a.knee brace on an without even asking she got us a room downstairs. A absolute life saver. Rooms were nice an clean..comfy pillows an bed. Housekeeping was on it always had fresh clean towels..the complementary breakfast had waffles..my favorite. Could use more of a breakfast selection. But other than that It was perfect. Highly recommend an would definitely stay again..

The staff was so kind especially, Melissa! Melissa stood out at the front desk. This was my first time ever booking a hotel room and she made it very enjoyable! She communicated so well and made our stay very memorable. Thank you Melissa!!

Bathroom was dated. Tv didn’t work with remote. But the staff was excellent!

Excellent customer service! Our room was quiet, clean, and roomy enough for a quick trip to Cedar Point. No issues with parking, either. Pleasantly surprised!

Nice place, very close to Huron, that’s a wonderful place to visit.

The stay overall was good. It is a short 15 min drive to stay from Cedar Point. Lots of restaurants near the hotel. However I noticed the day before we left that the shower above our room was leaking and I was right when I noticed the morning we were leaving there was a giant water stain on the ceiling. When I told the front desk about it she said ok. Not I’m sorry, not we can do better. We felt like maybe if you would clean daily you would notice it. Please note that any stays over 3 days they will not clean the room. Maybe they will now after this. The breakfast was free but basic. Eggs, waffles, cereal, whole milk, yogurt.

Only a 15 minute drive to Cedar Point! Indoor pool area was very warm but nice. Outside pool was heated, but not too warm. In 95 degree weather, it was nice to cool off in and the water was clean!! Wish the walls weren't so thin. My son and I could hear the lady next door yelling and swearing at her kids. Our TV wasn't working, but the desk lady was able to fix it right away! Friendly and helpful desk staff, nice aroma throughout, check out time is 11 am which makes it so much better for us wanting to sleep in, nice big bathroom, beds were comfortable, and room was spacey. View of a corn field instead of other hotels or attractions made it much better. One ceiling tile looked like mold or black mold and would recommend replacing. Other than that, I'm glad we were able to enjoy our stay in a clean room. This place is underrated.

While not the cleanest hotel I've stayed in, it gets the job done. That said, I was very disappointed in the complimentary breakfast options, or lack thereof, for this location. Waffles and cereal can only get you so far.

The room was very nice, no complaints. However, breakfast consisted of waffles, yogurt and cereal. Juice machine was out of order. For the price we paid, we expected a more substantial breakfast.

The outside of the hotel was nice until I had to walk through the front door when I was hit with a huge wave of marijuana smoke and the entire lobby reaked of marijuana. Got checked in the room was on the 1st floor, definitely not any where close to having any sort of sound proofing heard traffic, everyone stomping above you, and talking outsode. The only reason i gave 2 stars was the pool and hot tub area was nice. Their breakfast was a joke didnt even have half of the stuff. Overall for the price next time i will stay in downtown Milan because this was not a good stay.

Breakfast wasn't the greatest no water or juice just coffee or tea.

Staff was friendly, but the entire hotel was old and run down. The hotel itself was clean enough, until you looked at the beds themselves. The sheets, blankets and comforters had HUGE and multiple stains. I took one blanket down to the front desk for replacement as it appeared someone had spilled orange pop on it. Almost as if it had not even been washed at all. The new one was clean and they were happy to replace it. We took the bed covers off as they were horrific with stains. Breakfast was almost non-existent. Cereal and waffles. Nothing else. Not even a piece of fruit. Milk was gone. Had to go to front desk, TWICE to get milk for cereal. The only thing to eat!!! It was rough overall, but the cost was low and I can see why now. Sad. It just needs a little TLC.

The pictures of the breakfast area show many food options, counters full of food options. Reality was a waffle maker, yogurt, two kinds of cereal and lots of empty counter space.

Staff was friendly, beds were comfy. Breakfast was probably the worst part but overall I would stay here again. It wasnt noisy while trying to sleep.

There's better options closer to Cedar Point if that's why you're traveling. Breakfast is very limited, not the cleanest hotel ever, and broken fridge on our last visit. Not great, but not horrible either. Normally pretty cheap, but don't expect a ton.
