The location of this hotel is probably the best feature. You can easily walk down Cannery Row and it's about 10 minutes to the Aquarium. Beyond that, the room was decent and clean. There are no frills about the hotel. If you're just looking for a cheaper place to stay, then it's good. What bothered me was the $18/night charge for parking. A ridiculous money grab that hotels have taken advantage of. Who's going to travel there and not have a vehicle? I hate that... and the parking lot was full. Just charge more per night and offer free parking. Sheesh.

This is a wonderful place to stay when visiting cannery row. It is a short walk away so it is quieter and less busy with tourists but with the bike path right next to it, walking to the shops and dining options is very enjoyable. The rooms are comfortable and clean. There is no breakfast available but a great coffee place named Tidal Coffee is very close and they will meet your needs.
This is a wonderful place to stay when visiting cannery row. You have to pay for parking per night and it isn’t even secure parking anyone from the street can walk into the parking area however it was a very nice area and conveniently located. The room is decent and the sheets were clean, balcony with two plastic foldable chairs was convenient. Very dated facility! If you prefer convenient, certainly located verses hotel luxuries this is the places for you.

Excellent location right on the main walking path that will take you to Monterey Bay Aquarium in one direction or Fisherman's wharf in the other direction. 10 minutes walk to either place. The room was clean and had everything we needed. No ocean view from our room, but the property has an outdoor sitting area with tables and chairs that overlooks San Carlos Beach Park. The parking is included in the room cost at no extra charge. Only downside is no breakfast is included, but you'd probably want to go to one of the many cafes around, anyway.

The location can hardly be better between Fisherman Warf and the more central area. Check-in is efficient and can be done online. The room is not that big, but has a fridge, a coffee maker and a microwave, no desk. You can hear the sound of the traffic, but it is quiet at night. Also you will be able to hear loud neighbours. Coffee at the reception is freshly brewn from beans and above average. For parking an extra $16,95 is charged, this cost is somewhat hidden.

Great location half a block from northern end of Cannery Row. If you just looking for a moderately priced, clean with parking consider this convenient location. Staff was helpful and let us check out an hour later so we could squeeze in a sea kayak rental from an establishment only half a block away. No other amenities that I’m aware of but convenient, clean and moderately priced, close to restaurants, including the Cannery Row Deli ( one block) which was good for a cheap breakfast and lunch.

Older property. Nice rooms, comfy beds, decent amenities. Very clean. No breakfast, but an expresso machine in the lobby and Keurig in the room. Fireplace in the room is nice on cool, coastal mornings. Best feature: walking distance to Cannery Row, the Monterey Bay Aquarium and the Old Wharf. We were able to leave our cars behind much of the time. The neighborhood felt safe. The streets are clean. There are excellent bike/walking paths. Cons: I didn't care for digital check-in, but I always found a live person available to help. Staff were friendly and helpful. Concerning: the rooms sit above the parking area on massive posts. It felt stable. However, I didn't see any of the cross-bracing that would indicate seismic upgrades. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

Good location, easy walk to Cannery Row. Plenty of parking. It was quiet at night. Front desk staff was nice.It needs some updating and more cleaning. My newphew dropped something on the floor and when I got down to get it there were hairties and a crumpled tissue under the night stand. Gross.

We have always book here for many years, Very convenient to downtown. this time grandkids wanted to go to Monterey as our yearly trip with them ( they had a blast!!) the hotel was a nightmare, we did not get the rooms we reserved (we reserved 2 rooms) for 2 adults and 3 teenagers. We reserved 2 rooms with one bed each, they could not accommodate any in any other rooms. The rooms were not very clean, besides the very bad smell we found half ways drank water bottles on the side of the bed and dirty sandals behind the curtains in one of the rooms, we only had 2 towels in each room extra towels never got to our rooms. Very unhappy this time around We will no longer stay there. We will pay extra for better.

You could hear and feel the wind pushing the air under the door. The bathroom had both red and black mold growing in it and did not feel clean. There were no options to recycle anything on the property either.

Super convenient, less than a mile from everything. Beach and park directly across the street. Not a 420 friendly property but plenty of areas right across from property. We had King deluxe with fireplace and partial ocean view. The room was very clean and bed was comfy but it is a very basic room and on the smallish side. Not a great choice if you want to stay in and enjoy a room, absolutely perfect if you want a clean, safe, nice place to sleep and setup 'base' to explore the area.

Great hotel, great location, beautiful beach a few minutes walk. Shops, restaurant nearby. Lovely to see sea lions swimming in the bay. The outside of the hotel looks pretty. The inside of the room is a bit dated, dark furniture and carpet, could do with an update as the inside doesn’t do the hotel justice. The room was very spacious though, the bathroom is a bit tight for a family of 5. The staff we encountered were all very friendly and helpful. Parking was no problem. Beautiful place Monterey!

Great location, nice big rooms - with vaulted ceiligs. The bed was comfortable. It is clear management is working to keep this older Inn well maintained (it looks like it was repainted this spring). The problem with this Inn, at least witth the rooms on the street side is that the rooms are so close to the street that cars and trucks are pretty loud. Literally had to wrap a pillow to help reduce (not eliminate) the noise. So, this Inn is recommended if you can guarantee the parking lot side (away from the street) or bring ear plugs, or look elsewhere

One of my favorite places to stay simply because of the location. A short walk to Cannery row and near the beach. The downfall is how uncomfortable the beds were and the rooms feel a bit lifeless. The fireplace didn’t seem to work, but it could’ve been user error… They also charge for parking, about $17 which I think is pretty steep considering it’s self park and not even a secured/gated lot. Still, the staff was very nice and the rooms were clean.

We have returned to this hotel several times. Centrally located so it’s a quick walk to Cannery Row and the pier. Room is spacious, clean, good water pressure. Check in was super quick and friendly. Great little fridge in the room, fireplaces are a nice touch. Easy parking. No carpet which I LOVE! Room was quiet. I also left my iPad and they found it and quickly sent it back so I appreciate that!

We had a wonderful visit and were very please with our room. Allan was very helpful and informative of the area. We would gladly return to this hotel on our next visit. The service was the worst , they did clean rooms or replace the towels or restock coffee in the room. The lobby was closed at 8:00 pm and didn't open in morning at 8:00 am . they have hidden parking fee . I will never recommend Cannery row Inn i would not to any one and they need new management . There is no management on duty between 8:00 pm to 8:00 am not good !!!!!!!

I have stayed at a few different hotels and motels in Monterey and this is, by far, my favourite! The location is perfect, just steps away from the ocean and cannery row. They provide free parking so you can take a break from driving and walk everywhere! Cannery Row Inn is excellent value for money, the beds are so comfy and the staff are super friendly. Big thanks to Allan on reception for being so helpful and such a ray of sunshine, thanks Michelle

The stay was fine, but we had to use the “automated” checkin process using the kiosk and it was slow, cumbersome, and ultimately we had to use the checkin counter with a real person in order to checkin. Remove the kiosk and improve the checkin experience

Can't beat the location. We parked and didn't use our car the entire stay. We walked to the aquarium, restaurants, shopping, and enjoyed the coastal trail. Basic, clean, accommodations. Elevator between car park and office/rooms.

The room was clean and had everything we needed. No ocean view from our room, but the property has an outdoor sitting area with tables and chairs that overlooks San Carlos Beach Park. The parking is included in the room cost at no extra charge. Only downside is no breakfast is included, but you'd probably want to go to one of the many cafes around, anyway.

Our Stay at the Cannery row inn was very relaxing and comfortable. We loved hanging out on our balcony to see the view of the ocean. You can’t beat the location!!! Walking distance to cannery row for shopping and dining. We have been to this hotel several times and will be back in the future.

Very convinient to all shopping within walking distance to the aquarium, the beach , restaurantsand shopping. No need to drive out to visit those places.

Check-in was easy. The property was clean and had plenty of parking. The parking spots were sized right for a medium sized SUV, so that was nice to have. The hotel room was in good condition, except the balcony screen door was off the track and couldn't be opened. Not a big deal on a short weekend trip. Just be aware this hotel does not offer continental breakfasts. There are plenty of breakfast options within walking distance, so it wasn't a big deal.

Fireplace in the room is nice on cool, coastal mornings. Best feature: walking distance to Cannery Row, the Monterey Bay Aquarium and the Old Wharf. We were able to leave our cars behind much of the time. The neighborhood felt safe. The streets are clean. There are excellent bike/walking paths. Cons: I didn't care for digital check-in, but I always found a live person available to help. Staff were friendly and helpful. Concerning: the rooms sit above the parking area on massive posts. It felt stable. However, I didn't see any of the cross-bracing that would indicate seismic upgrades. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

This is a wonderful place to stay when visiting cannery row. It is a short walk away so it is quieter and less busy with tourists but with the bike path right next to it, walking to the shops and dining options is very enjoyable. The rooms are comfortable and clean. There is no breakfast available but a great coffee place named Tidal Coffee is very close and they will meet your needs.

The Cannery Row Inn was perfect for our one night stay in Monterey. It's within walking distance to the shops, restaurants and aquarium. The room was adequate for our family of 4. The front desk had a beverage machine where you could get tea, coffee and hot chocolate which was nice perk.

It's a comfortable stay close to everything.Pretty much.I'm nothing super fancy. There is not a vending machine except for sodas But it is super close to everything like I said so it was easy to get the things that we forgot Checking was easy.There was no breakfast early in the morning They do have coffee in the rooms and the rooms are all different.Some carpet some laminated wood like flooring. Our first room we transferred out of had some plastic wrap on the bathroom wall that was left there by the Queen or whoever didn't clean fully. So we transferred out to be safe rather than sorry.

Great location half a block from northern end of Cannery Row. If you just looking for a moderately priced, clean with parking consider this convenient location. Staff was helpful and let us check out an hour later so we could squeeze in a sea kayak rental from an establishment only half a block away. No other amenities that I’m aware of but convenient, clean and moderately priced, close to restaurants, including the Cannery Row Deli ( one block) which was good for a cheap breakfast and lunch.

Nearly everything was great, the view from the room, parking and staff. The only recommendation I have would be upgraded towels. They were somewhat thin but still absorbent but not warm.

The property location was nice. I didn't like the idea that there was no front desk staff in the morning just a virtual meeting.who was a person but I could only communicate via virtual meeting platform. Did not feel very secure with not having staff on site in case issues arise

This is an old inn and for the rate, it’s quite expensive BUT for the location, it is cheap. The spectacular view and you are close to everything is what this inn have! We just didn’t mind that it is not at least 3 stars inside coz from the outside is sure is five stars. We will come back and recommend this place
