Ramada by Wyndham Olympia

Ein gut gelegenes Hotel. Ich war erst skeptisch wegen den Bauarbeiten, aber ich habe davon nichts mitbekommen. Das Frühstück war gut, das Zimmer sehr sauber und groß und das Personal sehr freundlich. Ich kann das Hotel jedem empfehlen!

Das Hotel war sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Klobrille hat abgeblättert, rostige und verkalkte Armaturen. Sehr dreckige Handtücher. Risse im Sofa, vergilbt und muffig. Zudem haben wir statt dem gebuchten Nichtraucherzimmer vom Personal vor Ort ein Raucherzimmer bekommen, was dem entsprechend gestunken hat. Auf dem Parkplatz laufen immer wieder Obdachlose herrum, die auch versuchen Autos zu öffnen. Haben uns nicht wohl gefühlt. Nachts war es immer wieder sehr laut.

This hotel is undergoing extensice renovations. The staff never told us there would be NO hot water for the weekend and offered no solution. Hotels.com did not say anything about this either when I made the booking

The main issue with my stay this time, was that the hotel was undergoing a major renovation of the lobby and other common areas, and the outside facade. Great that they're upgrading, but it was total surprise to me when I got there to see all that construction going on. This should've mentioned somewhere in the description of the hotel. It was not an inviting place to be in after a long day. I get it that the price of the rooms may reflect the current state of the hotel, but regardless, I would not have stayed there if I knew about the renovations happening, which might be why they're not saying anything about it, but that's not right. People deserve to know what they're signing up for! I have two more trips planned to that area in the next several months, and I will be staying at the Hampton Inn instead.

Despite the ongoing construction work on the hotel, the place is actually very clean and welcoming. The staff did a great job at bringing a warm, inviting atmosphere to everything from check-in, to breakfast service, room cleaning, and checking out. The room itself was spacious and clean and quiet. The parking lot was a little difficult to figure out since there's a front lot and a back lot, with the back lot entrance on the side. We only stayed one night but wished it was a longer stay!
