This is a five star hotel and is as slick and polished as you might expect, with staff on hand to help with any and every enquiry or request, and a large imposing lobby and restaurant area. Grassy areas around the various accommodation blocks provide welcome coolness thanks to sprinklers. It's a sprawling complex with a family-friendly feel and also facilities more suited to adults i.e. the bars and Spa. Room location is a big factor in terms of how quiet or pleasant a stay you'll have as some rooms are very close to the small commercial area or the children's swimming pool. Rooms below ours had a direct view (and noise) of the air conditioning fan units behind the Spa. We had a standard 'Bungalow with Sea View', in reality a small apartment in a two-storey block. Although well maintained, decorated and clean, it is apparent that the concrete on the balcony is breaking down, and in the room the bedhead had a hole in it and the 'mirror' surfaces have degraded a lot around the edges. The door doesn't fit properly either, and you can see that other rooms have the same problem, with light spilling out around the doors at night, and sound travelling further than it should. These may seem petty details but for a luxury brand it is poor. A very comfortable bed and quiet air conditioning meant that we slept well in spite of the occasional sounds from neighbouring apartments. We only had breakfast, which was good but not great. Be aware of €15 a night sustainability charge.

L’hôtel nel complesso è carino . La camera e’ spaziosa e rinnovata . Scarsa pulizia , per esempio sul terrazzino , e nelle aree comuni. La piscina e’ molto vecchia e andrebbe ristrutturata . Servirebbe un altra piscina magari per adulti. L hotel e’ abbastanza piccolo e non c’è molto da fare. I ristoranti molto belli , si mangia da Dio , tutto è fresco. Il bar in spiaggia e la spiaggia sono carini.

Sehr schönes Hotel, allerdings waren die Familienbungalows sehr einfach und eher 3*-Niveau; Freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal; Besonderes Ausstattungsmerkmal ist das Atelier am Strand, wo Hotelgäste kreativ werden können; Strand ist an der Wasserkante leider steinig, ansonsten aber schön, gepflegt und auch in der Hochsaison mit ausreichend Liegestühlen ausgestattet

We loved our stay at Creta Palace, it was our honeymoon and the hotel so kindly upgraded us to a family suite on arrival which was beautiful. The facilities are great and perfect for our 2 year old, she loved the pool and beach. The staff were so kind and friendly - thank you so much for making it so special!

Fantastische accommodatie, mooie kamers, heerlijk eten, mooi rooftopbar!, lekker aan het strand, mooie strandbar en -restaurant, niets is te veel voor het personeel - heel erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Enige opmerking : toiletten buiten bij de beachbar zijn vies, wat vaker laten schoonmaken. Verder alle complimenten, een aanrader!

The location was very convenient, right in the middle between Heraklion and Chania. The property super nice and clean and safe and the staff very friendly, especially Masia. she was ready to help with any question we have and made us feel like home. We loved the ambiance, kids, parents, grandparents and couples were all having fun . The swimming pools were gorgeous and the beach very nice and clean. The restaurants very nice. the breakfast menu and breakfast area were great! The little market on the property was very convenient. We had a great vacation!

Wir waren als Familie im Herbst in diesem Hotel und haben uns insgesamt sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt, die Zimmer sind sauber und modern eingerichtet. Das Essen war sehr gut – sowohl das Frühstück wie auch das Abendbuffet waren abwechslungsreich und von guter Qualität. Besonders gut hat uns das Essen am Strand gefallen – tolle Atmosphäre und sehr lecker! Einziger Minuspunkt: Die Pools sind leider nicht beheizt. Bei den herbstlichen Temperaturen war das Wasser ziemlich kühl, was schade war, v.a. für die Kinder. Trotzdem können wir das Hotel bestens weiterempfehlen

We booked sea view for 6 nights but didnt get sea view for full stay (only got for 2 nights but then shifted to another room with no sea view at all). Hotel was clean and housekeeping staff cleaned room so well everyday. Food was good too.

Property is outdated. Bathroom and entrance room in our bungalow has dingy lighting, fruit flies all over and a broken window latch. The shower is from the 80’s. Definitely will not be coming back. There are much better options in Rethymno for this price range.

Absolutely incredible from arrival to departure. What stood out for us was the friendliness of all staff, the cleanliness of the whole place, the maintenance of the grounds and the quality of the food. We only did breakfast but wish we had done all inclusive. Absolutely outstanding and exceptional service. A nice touch was the offer of drinks on arrival. The hospitality all around was amazing and we already can't wait to return. Thank you

Fantastische accommodatie, mooie kamers, heerlijk eten, mooi rooftopbar!, lekker aan het strand, mooie strandbar en -restaurant, niets is te veel voor het personeel - heel erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Enige opmerking : toiletten buiten bij de beachbar zijn vies, wat vaker laten schoonmaken. Verder alle complimenten, een aanrader!

The location was very convenient, right in the middle between Heraklion and Chania. The property super nice and clean and safe and the staff very friendly, especially Masia. she was ready to help with any question we have and made us feel like home. We loved the ambiance, kids, parents, grandparents and couples were all having fun . The swimming pools were gorgeous and the beach very nice and clean. The restaurants very nice. the breakfast menu and breakfast area were great! The little market on the property was very convenient. We had a great vacation!

We stayed in one of the villas with a pool. It was amazing!. Great service, very attentive, room staff were fantastic and thorough. The villa was super relaxing, just a few steps to the beach or chill out in our own pool. We enjoyed it.

This is a five star hotel and is as slick and polished as you might expect, with staff on hand to help with any and every enquiry or request, and a large imposing lobby and restaurant area. Grassy areas around the various accommodation blocks provide welcome coolness thanks to sprinklers. It's a sprawling complex with a family-friendly feel and also facilities more suited to adults i.e. the bars and Spa. Room location is a big factor in terms of how quiet or pleasant a stay you'll have as some rooms are very close to the small commercial area or the children's swimming pool. Rooms below ours had a direct view (and noise) of the air conditioning fan units behind the Spa. We had a standard 'Bungalow with Sea View', in reality a small apartment in a two-storey block. Although well maintained, decorated and clean, it is apparent that the concrete on the balcony is breaking down, and in the room the bedhead had a hole in it and the 'mirror' surfaces have degraded a lot around the edges. The door doesn't fit properly either, and you can see that other rooms have the same problem, with light spilling out around the doors at night, and sound travelling further than it should. These may seem petty details but for a luxury brand it is poor. A very comfortable bed and quiet air conditioning meant that we slept well in spite of the occasional sounds from neighbouring apartments. We only had breakfast, which was good but not great. Be aware of €15 a night sustainability charge.

L’hôtel nel complesso è carino . La camera e’ spaziosa e rinnovata . Scarsa pulizia , per esempio sul terrazzino , e nelle aree comuni. La piscina e’ molto vecchia e andrebbe ristrutturata . Wunderbarer Aufenthalt, sehr nettes Personal und gut ausgestattete Zimmer. Es hat an nix gefehlt . Das einzige was ab und zu nervte war die musikalische Beschallung am Strand und in der Bar. Weniger Lautstärke wäre schön gewesen.

Wir waren als Familie im Herbst in diesem Hotel und haben uns insgesamt sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt, die Zimmer sind sauber und modern eingerichtet. Das Essen war sehr gut – sowohl das Frühstück wie auch das Abendbuffet waren abwechslungsreich und von guter Qualität. Besonders gut hat uns das Essen am Strand gefallen – tolle Atmosphäre und sehr lecker! Einziger Minuspunkt: Die Pools sind leider nicht beheizt. Bei den herbstlichen Temperaturen war das Wasser ziemlich kühl, was schade war, v.a. für die Kinder. Trotzdem können wir das Hotel bestens weiterempfehlen

Property is outdated. Bathroom and entrance room in our bungalow has dingy lighting, fruit flies all over and a broken window latch. The shower is from the 80’s. Definitely will not be coming back. There are much better options in Rethymno for this price range.

We loved our stay at Creta Palace, it was our honeymoon and the hotel so kindly upgraded us to a family suite on arrival which was beautiful. The facilities are great and perfect for our 2 year old, she loved the pool and beach. The staff were so kind and friendly - thank you so much for making it so special!

Absolutely incredible from arrival to departure. What stood out for us was the friendliness of all staff, the cleanliness of the whole place, the maintenance of the grounds and the quality of the food. We only did breakfast but wish we had done all inclusive. Absolutely outstanding and exceptional service. A nice touch was the offer of drinks on arrival. The hospitality all around was amazing and we already can't wait to return. Thank you

Realmente esta muy bonito , es grande el hotel , con muchos detalles , se disfruta de la playa y el atardecer , es mucho mas que lo que se muestran en las fotos , se siente uno muy a gusto , el desayuno sin palabras , espectacular y delicioso , la atención y servicio del hotel realmente nos encanto , lo recomiendo ampliamente , me hubiera encantado estar mas tiempo para disfrutar todas las instalaciones del hotel , muchas gracias por sus atenciones , desde Mexico

Great staff, and comfortable room. Breakfast was good, but slipped up on a few points, like forgetting to switch on plate heater, so breakfast soon went cold.

Ein sehr schönes Hotel, mit einer wunderbaren Pool-Anlage und direktem Zugang zum Privatstrand. Das Personal ist äusserst zuvorkommend. Wir sind als Familie gereist und für die Kinder gibt es jeweils gratis Mittagessen. Auch sonst gibt es einiges zu erleben für die Kinder.

This was our second summer in a row at Grecotel Creta Palace, and once again, our holiday was just perfect. Creta Palace has truly become our second home and our own "little" paradise in Crete—a place where we haven't just made memories, but where we have found true friends and a real family. Beyond the beauty of the resort, its sublime recent renovation, and the amazing brand-new aquapark, it is genuinely the team that gives this place such a unique soul and endearing charm. Their warmth, daily care, and unmatched hospitality make every single moment special. A massive thank you to Dimitrios, Georgios, Chef Nikos, Anna, Pavlos, Angelo, Paris, Olga, Maria and the many others whose names we might have missed, but whose kindness touched us deeply. Wir waren das zweite Mal im Hotel und sehr zufrieden. Die Renovierung ist gelungen. Sehr gepflegte Anlage. Buffet am Abend könnte besser ausfallen! Rutschenpark ist für große Kinder geeignet (ab 120 cm). Es fehlen leider Rutschen für kleine Kinder. Altstadt ist sehr gut erreichbar und einen Besuch wert. Insgesamt waren wir wieder sehr zufrieden, vor allem der Zugang zu einem tollen Strand war gegeben und würden auch noch ein weiteres Mal kommen.

We had a superior sea view room which did not disappoint. We only stayed 3 nights but thoroughly enjoyed it. Evenings are chilled, and daytimes we used the private beach. An overall luxurious resort.
