The property is just sufficient to get some rest from a long trip. The only issue was with parking. They charge £5 for parking even though their website mentions as free parking. Upon raising a question, they told that they will accept only bookings made directly through their website for getting a free parking spot.

Location close to highway and easy access. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The hotel is located in a Welcome Center complex with five restaurants, quick market, and other facilities; a Starbucks is coming. A game room available for those who wish to play games. Fast Chargers for Tesla and at least 12 Fast Chargers for other models.

Disappointed that you have to pay £5 car park per might when staying at the Days Inn. Also had to pay £20 for the dog-robbery! Children next door made more noise and disruption! Annandale Water or Hamilton either side of this service area are must better value.

Parking for overnight difficult due to all the upgrading being done. More exercise area for dogs would be good. The breakfast area is very good and good value for money. Staff very helpful.

We stayed for one night and we will definitely stay again. The staff are lovely, the check in and check out process was fast and efficient, the room was basic but clean and the bed was really comfy. We arrived late after driving from Thurso and left early, knowing that we would return. There we two added bonuses, parking on site and dog friendly….a great stay

Room was very tired with peeling paper and dirty grout around tiles. Also had to pay for parking and could not get any internet or tv signal staff told my partner that this happens sometimes Bed was comfy and slept well.

Room had broken window latch so window wouldn’t shut. The security hasp (locking bar) on the door to the room was broken (clearly had been forced in some way) so didn’t feel very secure. Dusty lightbulbs and mould patches on sealant in bathroom. 4th time we have stayed and very disappointed this visit so would likely choose somewhere else next visit.

Cleaning needs serious attention. A dirty tissue was lying on the floor by the bed and the bathroom cleaning was cursory at best. The room was tired, damaged and in need of refurbishment.

The sheets were clean and bed comfortable. That is as far as it goes. The bathroom was showing extensive signs of wear and tear and in a great need of refurbishment. The bedroom furniture was broken or falling apart. The carpet was dirty and you just wouldn’t walk on it bare foot. Wyndham need to invest to bring these up to an exceptional standard. And have health and safety been to check the rooms?

In one word, this place is tired. A big piece of plastic laminate was torn off the sideboard, leaving mdf exposed. A big area of paint had peeled off the bathroom door. One pillow was lumpy. The sealant around the sink has been re-done by an amateur. I’d have rated it lower, but at <£50 you don’t expect perfection. At least the staff were helpful, and linen was clean.

A very comfortable and clean hotel at a very good price. Very helpful staff. A lovely view from our room. Don’t let the appearance of the entrance doors put you off! They look like they're painted by a trained chimpanzee.

It's a motel by the main road to Glasgow, so it's never going to be the Ritz. But for an overnight stop, it's surprisingly quiet, has amazing views away from the road and is cheap as chips. Top that with cheerful, friendly service, and you have a great stopover.

The hotel is located next to the shops and restaurants at the service station. Parking is in the regular service station parking Check-in was fast, with very little paperwork to complete. The room was large with tea and coffee facilities and all that we needed in the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and there was very little traffic noise. If we ever needed to stop overnight on our way north we would definitely consider stopping here.

The rating I am giving is based on the price. Is it a 5 star hotel? No. Is it a great option for a cheap stay? Of course. We had an issue in the room and the staff moved us straight away, no questions asked after they couldn't fix the issue. Left alone to just get on with things and check out a doddle.

Check in was easy staff extremely polite and helpful. Bed very comfortable everything was clean. Shower was good and to top it all we had a toilet for the disabled which was fantastic as we both have mobility issues. Will definitely be back.

Really friendly welcoming staff. Reception was sparkling clean and inviting. Liked that you could buy wine at reception - it was late so we didn't but would in future. Less shabby than other Days Inns we've stayed in. Will definitely stay again

It's such a great spot to stopover on the way to the Highlands - very well situated and we love wandering around the service station after hours. It's great to be surrounded by the hills too - its' really unexpected.

Good place to stay, if like us you just wanted a room to sleep in as part of an onward journey. The hotel looks scruffy and dated but the room was clean and quiet. Food options are limited to BK and a noodle bar.

Parking for overnight difficult due to all the upgrading being done. More exercise area for dogs would be good. The breakfast area is very good and good value for money. Staff very helpful.

Brilliant, even an enjoyable bath, beds and pillows so good after a 7 hrs trip here, everyone friendly and helpful. Welcome break supper, Chinese or burgers just ok but breakfasts great.

We've stayed before, first time 20 years ago, and know it's always reliable. Clean, convenient for breaking journey to/from Glasgow, and staff always courteous. Bonus is Good Breakfast nearby.

Clean rooms and much tidier outside than a lot of services hotels. Nice foyer with clear thought for guests which again has not been typical eg books to borrow. Room ok but as usual not enough tea or milk. Annoyed to find we had to pay £5 for parking as that was news to us (due to booking on a 3rd party website apparently but what would not be - should we have booked with Welcome Break)

The hotels.com website advised secure parking was available. This was not the case. Parking was not specific to the hotel we had to park in the general motorway services area. I was also surprised to have to pay an additional £5 a day for this unsafe parking. I did not know about this charge prior to arrival as it is hidden in the hotels.com small print which you have to click on several times before you can see it. I was advised that parking is free if you book directly with Days Inn.
