Thought it was going to be a newer hotel but it wasn't. Not really pleased with exercise equipment, low quality and not much to use. Pool very small and filled with little children - no place for teenage family members. Not very pleased with price either, should have looked closer at other hotels in the area. Will never stay at this hotel again.

Hotel was well maintained and located close to the highway for easy travel to our locations of interest (Mystic and Essex Train). The pool was in great condition, and the included breakfast included multiple options for someone who is GF to not miss out on eating.

We were so happy with our choice to stay here. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was awesome and the dining area was comfortable with large TVs to catch up on Sports. The indoor pool was like a sauna, the room and pool was nice and warm, they had pool towels, and I could look out the large window at the snow over the lake. The rooms were a great design for 3 people and someone working remotely. The room had a nice sized desk and office chair that was separate from the area with the beds. The room also had a fridge, microwave, sleeper sofa and 2 TVs. My only complaint was that I found the bed to be too firm for me, so I had trouble sleeping. Also, the elevator was not working and lucky for us, we were on the first floor, because if we were on the 2nd or 3rd floor, that would have been a problem with luggage and stairs. All in all, for the price and the choice of hotels in this area, you can't beat this one!

Great stay! In town for new year at casino with family. Spring Hill was super convenient, very friendly staff! Super clean kids enjoyed the pool and breakfast was good and convenient as well! Only reason for the 4 star rating was because of elevator temporarily out of service but we were made aware ahead of time and were moved to 2nd floor when originally booked on 3rd, which was greatly appreciated! Will definitely consider in the future! Thank you!

This hotel was amazing! It was clean, had a gym and pool, large room with sink, microwave and fridge. The hair dryer was good and it had great shampoo and conditioner. The staff were super friendly and you even received a welcome snack bag. The only negative was the bed…not comfortable. Overall a great hotel will definitely stay again.

Horrible stay! Bed was hard and uncomfortable couldn’t slip. AC was set on 66 but room felt like 80 it was hot. Sheets stained. Shower broken Pool room was very hot couldn’t stay in there so kids could play in pool. Staff was busy hanging out together instead of acknowledging guest

The rooms were not dirty but they also were not the cleanest. The indoor pool was decent but it was very hot in the room if you were not in the pool; we liked that they provided pool towels. The breakfast was great there was a big variety of choices.

The property was very outdated. It was clean. Pool room- lots of rust on doors and grates. Hallway rugs were stained and outdated. Hotel was cleanish. Breakfast area is small and cramped. Food was not really appetizing and I have been to many hotels where this type of breakfast was offered.

This was a $300/night room at a $50/night experience. Not at all as advertised, so please don’t waste your money. Here are some details: Bloodstained sheet, sweat stained covers, no mattress protector. Dirt and grime everywhere. Hair in the bed. Couch was disgusting. Ceilings had water damage. The room smelled like drugs. The heating unit smelled like it was about to catch fire so we slept in the cold. Staff was pathetically uninterested in our feedback. Truly the worst hotel experience of my entire life.

The Hotel is very clean but the furniture in the lobby and our room MAJORLY needs updated. The lobby chairs are cracked and peeling and the sofa bed in our room is ready for the curb!!!!!! Plus our room 118 has a bathroom that looks as if it's had water damage 4 or 5 times. The tile on the floor is detached, the ceiling has black water spots all over it and the wall paper is cut up. Everything was very clean but you can only polish a turd so much. And the breakfast was VERY good! Great fresh selection. And, in the evening they had a wonderful selection of coffee's, teas, hot chocolate with all the fixing and warm apple cider to go with the fresh baked chocolate chip cookies! Very unexpected but greatly appreciated. Now, just update the furniture so it doesn't look like something left on the curb and this place would be 100% awesome!

Chose Springhill Suites because we’ve really liked them. Paid extra on a high demand weekend. Really disappointed. This one is old, shabby, and in serious need of remodeling. The carpet was stained, the couch tattered, the furniture dented. The kitchen area was a fridge, microwave, and a couple paper plates. The bathroom was dated, but clean. The bedding was fine.

Room’s HVAC equipment not working properly and auxiliary unit in room and gerry rigged to vent out a window that was blocked off with cardboard. This is unacceptable for a room costing over $300 a night. I did speak to the front desk and my room rate was discounted. In general the property was worn and dated. Loved the hot cocoa and warm cookies as we checked in. Manager on duty, Matt, was very pleasant and efficient. Liked the set up of the suite, with microwave and fridge. Sofa for viewing tv was very convenient. Bed was super comfy. Breakfast was excellent!!!!!!!!! Will come back!!!!

My room was not to clean, someone opened my door and woke me up early in the morning after I had just checked in after 6am after a 12 hour drive. The front desk told a stranger what room I was in I checked out early

Accommodating and welcoming staff. Overall it’s a clean hotel, and seems to have a few options for shopping and dining close to the property. I’m just passing by but if I come back this way, will definitely stay here again.

The Hotel is very clean but the furniture in the lobby and our room MAJORLY needs updated. The lobby chairs are cracked and peeling and the sofa bed in our room is ready for the curb!!!!!! Plus our room 118 has a bathroom that looks as if it's had water damage 4 or 5 times. The tile on the floor is detached, the ceiling has black water spots all over it and the wall paper is cut up. Everything was very clean but you can only polish a turd so much. And the breakfast was VERY good! Great fresh selection. And, in the evening they had a wonderful selection of coffee's, teas, hot chocolate with all the fixing and warm apple cider to go with the fresh baked chocolate chip cookies! Very unexpected but greatly appreciated. Now, just update the furniture so it doesn't look like something left on the curb and this place would be 100% awesome!

Loved the hot cocoa and warm cookies as we checked in. Manager on duty, Matt, was very pleasant and efficient. Liked the set up of the suite, with microwave and fridge. Sofa for viewing tv was very convenient. Bed was super comfy. Breakfast was excellent!!!!!!!!! Will come back!!!!

Hotel was well maintained and located close to the highway for easy travel to our locations of interest (Mystic and Essex Train). The pool was in great condition, and the included breakfast included multiple options for someone who is GF to not miss out on eating.

Great stay! In town for new year at casino with family. Spring Hill was super convenient, very friendly staff! Super clean kids enjoyed the pool and breakfast was good and convenient as well! Only reason for the 4 star rating was because of elevator temporarily out of service but we were made aware ahead of time and were moved to 2nd floor when originally booked on 3rd, which was greatly appreciated! Will definitely consider in the future! Thank you!

The property was very outdated. It was clean. Pool room- lots of rust on doors and grates. Hallway rugs were stained and outdated. Hotel was cleanish. Breakfast area is small and cramped. Food was not really appetizing and I have been to many hotels where this type of breakfast was offered.

We happily returned to this hotel a handful of times during our son's time at Connecticut College. The staff is always nice. The rooms are always clean. The breakfast has plenty of options daily.

The staff was friendly and having free breakfast was great for our family of 5. Also, everything was generally clean. I was surprised that the facility was older: wallpaper peeling and floor boards lifting up. There were stains on the carpet and the couch from wear and tear and age. We took advantage of the pool which my family enjoyed, but it was much smaller than I imagined. The hotel is in an industrial area across the street from a Bob’s Discount Furniture. There was a small outdoor patio that had potential, but was poorly maintained with woodworking projects in progress. It was ok for a place to sleep, but I wouldn’t recommend it if you want to stay during the day. My son was the poor 5th family that got the pull out couch, which he said was not comfortable.

Good safe location, great friendly helpful staff, good price. Stayed in a suite so my daughter had her own side of the room, very large room. Would definitely stay again. Wifi great, Shop Rite supermarket right around the corner.

The housekeeping staff was so amazing. I wish I would have asked her name but I was on the 3rd floor and asked for a towel refresh (I stayed for a week) and she brought them up and then checked in on me later in my stay to make sure I was all good and didn’t need anything. Comfy bed, great place to work while my child was at the USCGA for the week. Breakfast was good as was the coffee and I loved the fresh baked cookies as a mid-afternoon snack. Less than 2 miles to USCGA and easily accessible to that, the highway, local restaurants, and an easy drive to Groton and Mystic. My room had some wallpaper peeling in the bathroom and the soffit over the window was separating from the ceiling and it was HUMID in there even with the air and fan going on the AC unit. I suspect it has to do with the lack of ventilation from the bathroom. Overall, not a bad place for an extended stay.
