The property is undergoing refurbishment. Some area were untidy. The pool area was clean, the pool itself was cold and over chlorinated. The breakfast was good and our fish and chips dinner was excellent. Staff all very helpful and great service.

We booked two rooms, one room was fine just a little dated but as expected. The other room had a leaking AC unit which had flooded the floor and been going on so long it had caused mould in the carpet, the rubbish in the bin hadn’t been emptied which included papers with previous guests name and email address on and there was toilet paper just flung out the window. When mentioning this to reception we were refunded the £5 spa fee (mentioned below). Outside the rooms we were surprised by a £5 fee to use the spa, which would have been ok but the pool was freezing (and I’ve swam in the Irish Sea!) and the towel provided was so threadbare it had multiple holes in. The gym was tiny, and I can’t believe the nerve of charging £65 a month for a membership to basically use a peloton and freezing pool. The redeeming part was the staff at breakfast and who served afternoon tea. They were friendly and attentive and the food was ok.

The room was very clean and tidy. The bathroom was lovely and the bed was so comfy. The thing that let this down for me was the “spa area”. The Pool area was very run down, tiles chipped and just felt quite unclean. The jacuzzi was tiny and the switch to turn on the jets was on the wall so you had to keep getting in and out. The sauna was okay, quite small but nobody was ever in it when we went so this wasn’t an issue. The changing areas were also very run down. The hotel receptionist demanded a scan/photocopy of our bank cards, which neither of us had but even so felt a bit weird. For the price I don’t think it was worth it. We didn’t try breakfast or any food so cannot comment on that.

Great hotel team, really attentive, welcoming and ensured we had everything we needed. Only mark down was the swimming pool was a bit over chlorinated and we had an unpleasant reaction which limited our use of the facilities

The stay was wonderful, just needed to relax. Please advise customer of other fees which they will need to pay. So if using this platform you will need to pay for the sauna and swimming pool and steam room it is not included. Also advise customers they will need to pay a £50 holding fee, which you are told you get back.

If you are looking for a decent spa break, this is not the hotel for you. The spa was run down and tired, not rejuvenating at all. The pool was too cold to actually use, the hot tub was out of order (and had been for several days according to another guest). The sauna was broken in several different ways, no real heat and the benches were broken. Changing rooms were very basic, no privacy screens on the showers, and the lockers didn't have keys, so nowhere to store valuables. The few lockers that did have keys had no way of securing them to your person without a pocket. The ladies changing rooms were a mess with wet towels and gowns left thrown about the place. The water fountain was empty. No staff member came through to check/tidy/refresh any of this. Multiple guests had made complaints to the front desk about the above, none of which had been resolved in the time we were at the spa. The hotel room was nice but again, no hand soap in the room, and the water tank on the coffee machine looked very mouldy and so we couldn't enjoy the coffee in the room. There just seemed to be a general lack of care and attention to detail, most obvious in the fallen reindeer on the front lawn. 24 hours later and they still hasn't been moved/picked up. It's a small detail but the first thing I see as a guest and sets the tone. I chose this hotel for the spa facilities but couldn't stay more than 30 minutes before we had to leave due to frustration.

We were not informed it was currently a building site with no working lift's. The room was just about ok but the bathroom was dirty. There was inadequate refreshments in the room with only limited tea, coffee and milk. There was alternatively one bottle of warm water and available fridge. Don't bother asking reception to book you a taxi as the company they use is very poor and late turning up, also the staff will insist your ride is outside when clearly it wasn't as we were outside enjoying an extremely overpriced bottle of Cider. Basically not a good experience but the bed was comfy once the duvet had been replaced for a non feather variety. Something that apparently we should have told them.

We stayed for one night on 30 November, we had a wonderful stay. The hotel was decorated beautifully for Christmas, staff were friendly and professional. We had a standard room (twin) which was a good size for two of us and the bathroom was beautiful and perfectly clean. We had booked the Brasserie for dinner and were put in one of the dining rooms instead, the room was stunning, we were very happy.

The hotel is situated in a lovely location. The room was clean and tidy and the hotel was very presentable. The staff were helpful and friendly particularly a staff member called Ian who is an assist to their team.

Room I was given had little to no phone signal and little to no WiFi bars, meaning it kept dropping off and it took me twice as long to finish off my work for the day. The room was also hotter than the sun, with a window that barely opened. Whilst a fan was in the room, no plug sockets were by the bed meaning the fan had to be miles away, with little benefit provided. Pool and gym were very dated and very limited and no towels provided from what I could see so first time I used it I had to go back wet, second time I had to take a towel from the room. No bags for swimwear either.

Had a really good stay and location was great, only issue we had is that we stayed in room 228 and the heat was unbearable. We were given a fan but it only circulated the hot air in the room. Luckily we got there late and only spent a minimum time in the room. But for a last minute booking it was okay. Thank you for your hospitality.

Stayed for just one night in June. The hotel is nice and some parts under refurb which it needs. Staff very friendly and room looked nice. Breakfast was lovely too. Pool was a bit dated but just what we needed so not a complaint. 1 issue was the room temperature. It was 23 degrees that day but felt way warmer in the room, no aircon and the window only opened 3 inches so just couldn’t cool it down. We suffered a bit during the night, a desk fan helped a little. We would stay again in cooler months but maybe not in the summer.

Pool was a bit dated but just what we needed so not a complaint. 1 issue was the room temperature. It was 23 degrees that day but felt way warmer in the room, no aircon and the window only opened 3 inches so just couldn’t cool it down. We suffered a bit during the night, a desk fan helped a little. We would stay again in cooler months but maybe not in the summer.

Just returned from a 2-night stay for a wedding. Sadly we didn’t have much time to explore the hotel & grounds, but everywhere we saw was lovely and staff were very friendly. Only negative was the HEAT. Our room was unbearably hot, even with a fan which was placed in there on request. The whole upper hotel was sweltering, far hotter than it was outside or downstairs. Made sleep very difficult.

The Staff were excellent and everything was generally clean and tidy apart from mould on the rafter of the bathroom ceiling. There were people staying in the room above us who were walking around the room and every step was transmitted because of very squeaky floor boards. This meant that we couldn’t get to sleep until about midnight when we were in bed ready to sleep at 10pm.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. We chose it as it seemed great value for money and it was a short drive from Windsor castle. We stayed in a superior family room. The bed was really comfy, the room was very well decorated and clean and felt very homey. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was very quiet and the waitress couldn’t have been more attentive. I have a soya and milk allergy and the chef was very accommodating to that - adapting the menu to suit. Best beef burger I have had in a long time! Absolutely suburb breakfast too - a help yourself English breakfast with a lovely selection of fruit, meats, cheeses, cereal, pastries etc. They even offered and did me my own poached eggs on toast because I couldn’t have the scrambled egg. My husband said he really enjoyed the leisure club facilities too. All the rooms such as the bar area, afternoon tea room, restaurant and breakfast room are lovely rooms that keep to the historic feeling to the house but also feel fresh and modern. All the staff, such as the receptionist too, couldn’t have done enough for us and were really friendly. I would say though to avoid going down Egypt lane to get there - the other direction to the hotel is main roads and much easier and less perilous!

It was definitely a case of a series of unfortunate events. It was more the handling of the events by the staff, and in the end I gave up. I arrived and there was a smoke alarm beeping, I advised reception to be told another guest had also informed them. Maintenance however couldn’t find it, and went home not fixing it. It took the other guest to video said beeping and eventually we moved rooms at 9.30pm. Unfortunately for me, I found myself in a room where the shower periodically spat out water, I tried emptying the shower head to no avail and so the night was indeed sleepless. Add into that that I was over charged by £20 by the restaurant with staff with zero personality and had to receive a refund. I doubt I will stay at this overpriced hotel again. I stay at a lot of hotels, in 20 years I have rarely complained. The only member of staff who seemed to care and help was the food & beverage manager. Nice man.

Arrived at 10.00pm. Night Porter on duty at reception for check-in and he was not properly trained to take Cash payments. Hotel only had a few guests, but we were allocated a room on 2nd floor and lift was not working. Plenty of rooms available on ground or first floors, so very unhappy at having to carry luggage up 3 flights of stairs. Bad nights sleep due to heavy rain on sky-light windows. Fire alarm went of at 08.45, allegedly set by smoke in kitchens. Returned to room after breakfast and electrics did not work. Reported to reception, who sent an electrician, who was unable to resolve matter, so had to pack up cases with no light, room was very dark due to being in the attic. Complained at reception when checking out and receptionist was polite and helpful, but had to keep going and talking to manager in a back office, who NEVER came out to deal with the matter. She just sat in her office and negotiated compensation via Receptionist. Clearly manager is an IDLE person, who should not be paid for the job she IS'NT doing. WE WILL NOT RETURN TO THIS HOTEL.

The Burnham Beeches Hotel is charming and cozy. It’s stately yet unpretentious. The hotel sits upon a beautiful property in Slough, away from the hustle and bustle, yet happens to be located minutes from the Elizabeth Line which conveniently and directly takes you into the heart of London in just a short time. The hotel’s rooms are meticulously kept with a high standard for cleanliness. The bathrooms and other hotel facilities are modern and bright. The daily breakfast was absolutely delicious and filling. Overnight stay as we were visiting Windsor Castle the next day. Great rooms although there is currently some renovation work going on - in fairness work finished quite early and didn't start again until gone 8am. Staff were attentive and food was good - would stay again.

Welcoming friendly attentive staff, excellent fayre even if slightly restricted choice and comfortable spacious rooms with good WiFi connections. Large outdoor lawn and easy free parking facilities. No lift but good stairs. Very reasonable price and good road connections but allow time to cross M4 if going to Ascot or the like on busy days.Good to excellent value.

Room was clean and comfortable, breakfast great. Improvements need making to WiFi and to spa area. Also need more veggie options for dinner - a simple pasta / risotto wouldn't go amiss. The vegan burger was terrible - go for a beyond meat or something.

I stayed as a solo guest as i had been to a local wedding. Checkin on arrival after the wedding was quick, the room was clean and comfy, with a good refreshment tray, however missed having mint tea bags as a choice, both in room and at breakfast. The buffet breakfast hot food was not necessarily hot, just warm , and i was earlier rather than late to breakfast. A very kind member of staff helped me when i had a mishap and accidentally dropped my food plate onto the floor - swiftly coming to my rescue. I did not use leisure facilites but wished i had taken a swimsuit with me.

The buffet breakfast hot food was not necessarily hot, just warm , and i was earlier rather than late to breakfast. A very kind member of staff helped me when i had a mishap and accidentally dropped my food plate onto the floor - swiftly coming to my rescue. I did not use leisure facilites but wished i had taken a swimsuit with me.

Welcoming friendly attentive staff, excellent fayre even if slightly restricted choice and comfortable spacious rooms with good WiFi connections. Large outdoor lawn and easy free parking facilities. No lift but good stairs. Very reasonable price and good road connections but allow time to cross M4 if going to Ascot or the like on busy days.Good to excellent value.

Burnham beeches is a beautiful hotel in wonderful surroundings. Check-in can be completed digitally but if there are any issues with this or anything else, there doesn't seem to be enough members of staff to deal with the number of guests. As a result, when attempting to get help with something non-check in related, we were met but obviously busy and perhaps not the friendliest of staff members. Also, beware of the free bike offer. Although great, you are not told before arrival that you need to download an app. This is tricky with phone reception poor outside the hotel and wifi that doesn't quite reach where the bikes are stored. If you experience any problems over a weekend, there is no helpline support and staff are ill-equipped to resolve any problems. Also beware of £5 charge to use the gym and pool. This is not mentioned when booking.

Check-in was chaotic — no receptionist available (they were mid-argument at the desk), forced to use a lobby computer, and our room wasn't ready despite 3pm arrival. My wife's spa treatments were rescheduled without any notice, shifted nearly an hour earlier with no explanation beyond "that's how we operate." We were also told we'd have to pay extra to use the pool, which looked far more run-down than advertised.The "character room" we booked (room 216) was tiny and nothing like the photos — worn bathroom, mismatched towels, only one towel rail (over the bath), and just a small fan despite "air conditioning" being advertised online. Hot water was unreliable too.Dinner at Brasserie 1727 was underwhelming: pre-plated starters that arrived suspiciously fast, tiny portions, and lackluster prawns at £15. When we mentioned it, the waitress just shrugged and walked off.Breakfast was decent but chaotic, and by Sunday the coffee machine had broken mid-service with visibly frustrated guests and staff throughout the hotel. The duty manager, Iyad, handled complaints well and offered a partial discount, but the overall impression was a hotel marketed as four-star luxury while running on a skeleton staff. We stayed for two nights, and although I understand there was a heatwave, I was very disappointed to be placed in a second-floor room with no air conditioning. After we raised the issue, we were moved to a ground-floor room, as no air-conditioned rooms were available. This made me question why we weren't allocated a ground-floor room from the outset, particularly during such hot weather when it's well known that upper floors become much warmer. I was also surprised to discover that, despite being marketed as a spa hotel, guests are charged an additional £5 per person to use the spa facilities. I've stayed at many spa hotels, and I've never encountered an extra charge for facilities that are a primary reason people choose to book in the first place. Unfortunately, the spa itself was also underwhelming. The swimming pool, sauna, and jacuzzi were all very small, and the facilities felt dated and poorly maintained. It was clear that areas such as the windows had not been cleaned for quite some time, with visible dust and dirt that detracted from the overall experience. Overall, I felt the hotel offered very poor value for money. The facilities did not match my expectations of a spa hotel, and I left feeling that I would have had a more comfortable stay at a Travelodge for a fraction of the price.
