Nice little hotel at reasonable price. The hotel is quite old so uneven floors and rattling windows have to be expected.Worth noting that the restaurant is not operating at this time. However can recommend the old Liverpool next door.

Tight parking but very welcome in Beaumaris. Breakfast was excellent with very friendly and efficient staff . Chef was on holiday so no evening meals. Everyone deserves a holiday. I have been going to Beaumaris for 25+ years and know it very well and can say that the Bushops Gare Hotel is a place I would recommend.

A clean,cheap and cheerless but tired hotel which is long overdue a revamp .The access to the room at the top of the hotel if your over 3ft high would mean you have to get on your knees to open & close the lock on the door so not suitable for the able let alone the disabled. A adequate cooked breakfast that was swimming in baked beans Very limited chaotic parking at the rear which you have to share with people who are not staying in the hotel but dining in there in the evening so you end up parking on the road if you go out in the evening A very rude and unapologetic owner who will constantly call your room to ask you to move your car forward a couple of inches even though your car is quite clearly not the issue

This was a one night stop-over while visiting Bangor. Lovely hotel in a great location, Quick friendly reception and we were quickly in our room. The room was adequate for our needs and was suitably provided for with everything we needed. Breakfast is table service lovely dinning room and was outstanding. The only down side is the parking can be hard to find and difficult to get into when you find a space.

This hotel is clean throughout. The rooms are comfortable as are the beds. The real selling point of this hotel is its staff. Everyone we met was polite, friendly and went out of their way to make our stay the best experience possible. If the restaurant is available during your stay we would recommend you eat there. Breakfast is plentiful and freshly prepared whilst the evening meals are better than many expensive restaurants. Book this hotel and you will not be disappointed.

The hotel was lovely, it is an old building so a bit quirky our room was at the top and a very clean pretty room, it was in the middle of the heat wave and we asked for a fan and they got us an amazing one to the room within five minutes. The staff were so helpful and the breakfast was delicious. Would highly recommended this hotel.

Great location in lovely Beau Maris. Staff all welcoming and friendly, very good breakfast. Although the room was a little dated with too large furniture it was comfortable and clean and represented good value for what I paid. New pillows would be good! Overall, I enjoyed my stay.

Exceptionally friendly welcome and service from Hazel and the team. The room was beautiful, charming and full of character. The SMEG kettle and teapot were a thoughtful touch. We enjoyed the freshly cooked breakfast, although it’s a pity that the restaurant isn’t open in the evenings any more. Overall, thoroughly enjoyable and we won’t hesitate to return.

Stayed for one night and was upgraded from a single to double room, which was appreciated. The room was clean with all the facilities needed. As well as tea/coffee making facilities, bottles of sparking water were also provided. The toilet/shower was a bit small but no real problem. The only minor issue was that the room was quite cold in the evening (it was winter) but the bed was warm and comfortable. Breakfast was also good with plenty of choice. Last, but not least, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, with the receptionist kindly lending me her own USB charger as I had forgotten mine.

The room was small and the sink was in the bedroom not in the bathroom which was inconvenient , the beams were low so bumping your head was a problem . Food is lovely and the staff are really friendlycand helpful.

We have been coming to this hotel for over 20yrs and always get a warm welcome. The evening menu is lovely and breakfasts set you up for the day. We'll be back later in the year. Well done to all staff and Hazel.

Felt initial greeting from owner was less than welcoming because we arrived ten minutes before check in and it was suggested that we didn’t know what time 3 o’clock was. Room was large and clean and the bed was comfortable. However the windows wouldn’t open and although the owner got a handyman in quickly to rectify this I felt that this was a potential safety issue and one that the hotel should have known about. The room was described and priced as being deluxe and so was slightly baffled by the fact that there was for example only one bathrobe, one shower cap for a double room. The shower was very weak. There was sherry in a decanter for those who drink sherry and nice chocolate. The breakfast was well cooked but lack of buffet style continental which is standard in most bed and breakfast establishments was lacking and choice was limited on set menu with no fresh fruit obviously available. Fruit juice was on menu however. My final encounter with staff was when I asked if I could possibly have a mushroom omelette for my breakfast instead of scrambled, poached boiled or fried egg and was told no. This was baffling as the restaurant boasts a rosette award. The hotel is very conveniently situated to enjoy all Beaumaris has to offer but for us the hotel was no more than average.

A adequate cooked breakfast that was swimming in baked beans Very limited chaotic parking at the rear which you have to share with people who are not staying in the hotel but dining in there in the evening so you end up parking on the road if you go out in the evening A very rude and unapologetic owner who will constantly call your room to ask you to move your car forward a couple of inches even though your car is quite clearly not the issue

The hotel was lovely, it is an old building so a bit quirky our room was at the top and a very clean pretty room, it was in the middle of the heat wave and we asked for a fan and they got us an amazing one to the room within five minutes. The staff were so helpful and the breakfast was delicious. Would highly recommended this hotel.

This was a one night stop-over while visiting Bangor. Lovely hotel in a great location, Quick friendly reception and we were quickly in our room. The room was adequate for our needs and was suitably provided for with everything we needed. Breakfast is table service lovely dinning room and was outstanding. The only down side is the parking can be hard to find and difficult to get into when you find a space.

The hospitality here is second to none, all the staff are incredibly friendly, polite and helpful. It feels old-fashioned in the best way, like a treat to stay there. Breakfast was super fresh and extremely delicious. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Tight parking but very welcome in Beaumaris. Breakfast was excellent with very friendly and efficient staff . Chef was on holiday so no evening meals. Everyone deserves a holiday. I have been going to Beaumaris for 25+ years and know it very well and can say that the Bushops Gare Hotel is a place I would recommend.

Great location in lovely Beau Maris. Staff all welcoming and friendly, very good breakfast. Although the room was a little dated with too large furniture it was comfortable and clean and represented good value for what I paid. New pillows would be good! Overall, I enjoyed my stay.

Nice little hotel at reasonable price. The hotel is quite old so uneven floors and rattling windows have to be expected.Worth noting that the restaurant is not operating at this time. However can recommend the old Liverpool next door.

Exceptionally friendly welcome and service from Hazel and the team. The room was beautiful, charming and full of character. The SMEG kettle and teapot were a thoughtful touch. We enjoyed the freshly cooked breakfast, although it’s a pity that the restaurant isn’t open in the evenings any more. Overall, thoroughly enjoyable and we won’t hesitate to return.

Everyone we met was polite, friendly and went out of their way to make our stay the best experience possible. If the restaurant is available during your stay we would recommend you eat there. Breakfast is plentiful and freshly prepared whilst the evening meals are better than many expensive restaurants. Book this hotel and you will not be disappointed.

Lovely hotel in the centre of Beaumaris with parking. Went with a group of friends. Added bonus we were able to use the lounge in the evenings. If we had know evening meals were available we would have taken advantage. Hazel and the team were lovely hosts.

The room was adequate if rather small with no aircon or fan, which was a drawback in very hot weather. The hotel was well positioned, parking behind the hotel was fine, although worth checking map beforehand. Breakfast was good. Staff keen to assist. Overall a good base for exploring the island.

What a brilliant place and what an exceptional service! The owner Hazel took extra effort to rescue us from Bangor station where we got stranded in the middle of night due to delayed trains. This was not the end of ultra-hospitality. There was also a late dinner waiting us when we finally received the hotel and she drove us back to Bangor after our stay! The restaurant of the hotel offered tasty meals and the wine selection was pretty impressive for such a small place. The location was also convenient. The building is old, hence be prepared for that, i.e. no air conditioning and limited power outlets in the room. Strong recommendation!
