Aufenthalt für eine Nacht

Disappointing stay, despite lovely staff and a great gym. After a long drive, I wanted a quick nap, but there was extremely loud drilling and banging directly above my room. Reception weren't even aware building work was taking place! I escaped to the gym, which was excellent – clean, welcoming and well-equipped. Unfortunately, the spa facilities were disappointing. The main Jacuzzi was broken, the smaller ones were cold and the sauna was overcrowded. The changing rooms were disgusting. There were fake nails, toenail clippings and used plasters on the floor, and I even witnessed someone shaving their legs with an electric shaver! I couldn't face showering there and returned to my room. Room service food was lovely, but took nearly an hour to arrive. The coffee machine had no clear instructions and I couldn't get it working. Strangely, three hours after using my shower, it suddenly turned itself on, gushing water for quite some time, which was alarming! The TV wasn't smart and I couldn't connect my laptop to watch a film. The staff were genuinely lovely when I raised my concerns, and the food and gym were definite positives. However, between the noise, poor hygiene, broken facilities and room issues, this was far from the relaxing stay I'd hoped for. Very disappointing overall.

No air conditioner when hot summer is handy. Bar have to clean copper pipes and filters in beer taps as beer have bitter taste. On breakfast nice to have not only scrambled eggs nice to have planted eggs. And also is good make sound proof walls as I can hear snoring from next room. And smart tv who can connect to android mirror screen of phone

The hotel has a great atmosphere with families n couples etc. The staff were great and very friendly. The shower was lovely and the room was immaculate. Easy parking in the large car park. Would definitely go for another stay.

Fantastic welcome from check in staff. Smell of fresh paint/carpet always nice… SMELL OF FAGS from other rooms not so nice, are staff scared to confront these people? Looking forward to a good sleep and lazy Sunday lay in.. no chance. Woke up by banging music shaking the walls at the crack of sparrowfart from the gym/pool. Cars racing on local roads most of night not great either. Assume this is normal for Village hotels so will avoid in future.
