First stay at Mountain Park hotel Flint. Great welcome off lovely, friendly staff. Welcome information given. Our room was lovely and spacious. Very clean and a comfortable bed. We didnt stay for breakfast so couldnt comment on the food The only picky but is the Wifi kept dipping in and out which made it difficult at times but not the end of the world. Also our room was facing the carpark and as we were there on one of the hottest days we had to open the window in the evening. Unfortunately there was a lot of noise for a bit with cars charging at the ev points and keeping the engine running and i was woken at 2am by someone shouting outside the room next to us. But it would not stop us staying here again.

Lovely hotel with its own 9 hole golf course which offers some challenging holes. Food in the restaurant is excellent as well.

A good place to stay and very convenient if you have a Tesla with all the excellent superchargers out the back. Big spacious room, and the staff were good, in particular the young lady on reception, who was 10/10 for manner, helpfulness and customer service attitude. Downsides : 1) The room was good but the bathroom had areas if black mould in between the tiles, and there was no bedside cabinet, so phones, glasses, contact lenses had to go on the floor. The floor surface was solid not carpeted, so not exactly warm on the feet. 2) I stayed on a Saturday night. I was well aware there was a function on and that there would be music until midnight, which didnt bother me. What did bother me though was the noise of the party guests, shouting, swearing and smashing bottles or glasses right outside my bedroom door. I'm also glad I had the foresight to park my car round the back, as with what was going on outside I fear cars would have been damaged.. I would say this hotel is better suited to weekday stays or if you are a weekend party guest, and i'd recommend parking round the back! Other than that, all good, a decent nights sleep, and first class customer service from the young lady at reception.

The property is very run down and needs money spent to make it clean and appealing. The music and foul language being shouted from the disco went on until the early hours of the morning making it impossible to sleep. When we checked in the male member of staff said " you may hear some music" in truth it was as if the disco was in the bedroom. Ive tried to resolve the issue but the respinse has dried up from Heather , who i assume is the manager. Save yourself a great deal of dissapointment and avoid Flint Mountain Hotel. The review is factual and can be evidenced by video footage.

We stayed in a family room. It was motel style as in you have a private entrance. This was great as we brought our dog. The room was clean, warm, comfortable and spacious. There was an iron, ironing board, hairdryer even a small fridge and a good sized TV. Everything we needed. The bar was lovely and reasonable, however I was unaware it closed when a function is on and I found this a little disappointing. The function is loud but did finish at exactly 12. Fully recommend and will stay again as it’s great for us visiting family.

The hotel is fantastic Staff are very warm and welcoming The grounds are amazing with veiws of the golf course all around . The bar staff are friendly and great with children amd the food was delicious We really enjoyed our stay .

Went hiking in snowdonia for the Easter weekend. Booked this place around a week before - at great price. Was given a bigger room than expected. Initially booked here to just crash for the nights but ended up getting local takeaways and enjoying them in the hotel room. Will definitely be back- can’t recommend enough. Bonus was having superchargers right outside the room. Only small downside was the tiny bins.

The room was clean, spacious, and surprisingly comfortable — plenty of space to relax without feeling crowded. The beds were cozy, and everything felt well-kept and thoughtfully arranged. The room was very dated, the bed was comfortable, but the bed sheet was dirty, the pillows were stained with no pillow protectors, the mattress had a protector but that was dirty. The bathroom again was dated, the toilet seat was loose, the shower was great but i had to clean it as it had hair and other bits in it. The breakfast was good, i don't think I'll stay there again.

When we arrived i could clearly see that our room had not been cleaned. We found dirty underwear on the floor, false eye lashes stuck to the radiator. False nails on the sofa and hair all over the floor. As we are arrived late, there was no one at the reception i was able to complain too. However i did inform the gentlemen at reception the following morning. Who said he would speak to the cleaners. Shocking. It was disgusting. Will not be returning thats for sure. However there were some positive. Staff in the bar/restaurant were very friendly. And the breakfast was lovely. It was just a shame our room had clearly not been cleaned.

The room was very poor overall: - Bathroom had bad mould around the shower, peeling veneer from the shower pane, chipped bath enamel, and general neglect and poor/ no maintenance. - The Bedroom was a reasonable size but with a very worn mattress on the bed which felt more like a hammock. Reception was muted to say the least. Area leading to the room was filthy with rubbish like old confetti etc. Internally I’ve taken about 8 photos of unfinished skirting and walls , White paint stains on bathroom floor tiles,damaged wall where the wrong door closer on the ext. door had smashed the plaster . The floor area hadn’t seen a hoover after previous visitors. The kettle had white paint stains and no PAT Test label.A towel rail in the bathroom was literally hanging off the wall.

The room was clean, but very basic. Needed some TLC. No bedside tables. Mirrors not attached. Tissue hanging out of an unused socket. Unsightly shelving/hanging area for clothes. No curtain or cover for the window to the door leading outside. The bed was comfortable. It was warm and peaceful.

I didn’t like my night here as there was a venue on, nobody made us aware of it, we went down to ask what time it finished at 11pm and we got asked what we want. The lady who came out was extremely rude. The property walls were bouncing as a result of the music and we was right on top of the venue area, In a family room

Having stayed here during the week since August 2024, I have sampled a few rooms within the property. They are basic but clean but are in desperate need of some TLC and the number of electrical switches in each room is baffling. I choose the upstairs rooms overlooking the golf course as these are the quietest in my opinion. I have had room 15 for the last 2 weeks which doesn't have a working TV, during heavy rain it leaks through the roof fan, signs of damp in the bathroom, gaps around the front door so it rattles in the wind though unlike other rooms the VELUX window will actually shut and the blinds work. Housekeeping can be hit and miss, 1 week I was given keys to a room which wasn't made up and it is not unusual to find your bin emptied but not put back or your shower mat put on top of your towel to dry out. I have tried the bar for food on a couple of occasions and couldn't find fault. I normally prefer to book direct if I will be staying more than once at a location but it is considerably cheaper to book through HOTELS.COM than direct with the hotel. Overall it is cheap basic contractors accommodation which suits myself but it is not a place I would bring my family.

The hotel is okay what I would expect for 3 star a little rough around the edges. It was an overnight visit. Few downsides, the windows were impossible to open (unless you about 7ft tall…) and the room became stuffy very quickly. If you do open them make sure it’s at the right angle in case of rain! Thin walls and if someone happens to be smoking something very pungent nearby expect the scent to join you in the room - easily solved with allowing the vents to be closed or better sealant around the doors (hard to work out where is was coming in). Staff are lovely though and breakfast was very good!
The hotel is okay what I would expect for 3 star a little rough around the edges. It was an overnight visit. Few downsides, the windows were impossible to open (unless you about 7ft tall…) and the room became stuffy very quickly. If you do open them make sure it’s at the right angle in case of rain! Thin walls and if someone happens to be smoking something very pungent nearby expect the scent to join you in the room - easily solved with allowing the vents to be closed or better sealant around the doors (hard to work out where is was coming in). Staff are lovely though and breakfast was very good!

Very happy with stay staff were very helpful as we were staying for afuneral so asked if there was anywere to change but they said there was no one in our rooms the night before so we could check in early which was great,breakfast was nice,simple.

This hotel was value for money when visiting family. Checked in just after 2, took a while for anyone to come to reception but it was quick once they came. Spent the day with family and upon return we went to get a drink in the bar, it was only 7.50pm and the staff told us the bar was already cleaned down and cashed up, the info sheet in the room said it shut at 10pm! Apparently the staff told us they do this on quiet nights so they can help with functions but from what we saw they went and sat behind reception, this was a little disappointing! Bed was comfy, room was basic but fine for the money and clean. There was an event on but I checked with hotel before hand and they said our room was at the back and we hardly heard the music. There was ample parking and it’s in a lovely area, with a bit of love this could be a stunning hotel.

There was an issue with our reservation on arrival as there was a problem with the water supply in the Flint area. However Jade on reception dealt with the issue very efficiently and even offered us breakfast for the inconvenience - excellent customer service that was very much appreciated.

A good place to stay and very convenient if you have a Tesla with all the excellent superchargers out the back. Big spacious room, and the staff were good, in particular the young lady on reception, who was 10/10 for manner, helpfulness and customer service attitude. Downsides : 1) The room was good but the bathroom had areas if black mould in between the tiles, and there was no bedside cabinet, so phones, glasses, contact lenses had to go on the floor. The floor surface was solid not carpeted, so not exactly warm on the feet. 2) I stayed on a Saturday night. I was well aware there was a function on and that there would be music until midnight, which didnt bother me. What did bother me though was the noise of the party guests, shouting, swearing and smashing bottles or glasses right outside my bedroom door. I'm also glad I had the foresight to park my car round the back, as with what was going on outside I fear cars would have been damaged.. I would say this hotel is better suited to weekday stays or if you are a weekend party guest, and i'd recommend parking round the back! Other than that, all good, a decent nights sleep, and first class customer service from the young lady at reception.

We stayed in the hotel for the weekend as we were visiting Chester zoo and it was great as it was only a 20 min drive. The room was fine for us as we just needed it for sleeping and showering. The bed was very comfy and the free tea & coffee was a nice touch for the early starts. Slightly dated in some places but well suited for a short stay. Be mindful that the amenities in the surrounding area are quite limited we didn’t look into this before booking so venturing outside of the hotel for food/drinks was difficult. We highly recommend the Raj Balti curry house in nearby Flint if you do want to explore outside of the hotel :)

The room was clean, spacious, and surprisingly comfortable — plenty of space to relax without feeling crowded. The beds were cozy, and everything felt well-kept and thoughtfully arranged. The property was convenient for the main access roads to Chester etc. Lovely quiet location. Attractive building. Bed was.clean and very comfortable. We didnt use the bar or restaurant so cant comment .

Went hiking in snowdonia for the Easter weekend. Booked this place around a week before - at great price. Was given a bigger room than expected. Initially booked here to just crash for the nights but ended up getting local takeaways and enjoying them in the hotel room. Will definitely be back- can’t recommend enough. Bonus was having superchargers right outside the room. Only small downside was the tiny bins.

The only thing I wasn't impressed with was the scrambled egg on toast at breakfast which I returned, it was not very nice. I then had the beans on toast. The presentation of both was poor......

Hotel was chosen so that we were close to the places we had to be. ( for a wedding and reception ). Unfortunately the sound from the disco on the Saturday night disturb us, but it did close at around midnight. Breakfast was fine.

Location is great for visiting family and the beds are always clean and comfy. It’s a convenient no nonsense hotel that does the job for a short trip away. I wasn’t impressed with a couple of things on this occasion. I booked a family room of 5 beds in the event my teenage children can make the trip. I arrived to a different room from the one I booked with only a double bed . When I asked for the room I booked, I was told it was given to someone else. Luckily only one som travelled with us and was able to have the sofa bed made up. Secondly, the cleaner knocked our room at 09:20 to ask if I needed anything. What could I possibly need when check out is 10am - it’s rude and its happened on previous trips also - it doesn’t take Einstein to figure they want you out which is very unwelcoming. Do you want people to be in the room at all. Check in is 2pm and the cleaners want you out pre 10am!

We would certainly stay here again, room had shower, fan, iron, ironing board , kettle, tea, coffee & biscuits. Room was very clean, bedding spotless, plenty of room to put up our travel cot. Also I love how the room has a front door, we were able to reverse the car in front of our room which helped with the unloading of the car- very handy. The bar had the most amazing food which looks pricey but you get a lot for your money and the food its self is amazing. Staff were very polite and professional. We paid to have breakfast included which i recommend, the welsh breakfast was beautiful. Ideal place to stay if you plan on day trips out as short drives to places like Rhyl. We would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend. They also have a bouncy castle for kids to enjoy and outdoor seating area, also a golf course.
