Nice place to stay with a good breakfast buffet, lots of food choices. Dinner is expensive but it’s good food. Friendly staff. I would stay here again. Nice indoor pool, hot tub is not hot but was clean. Nice sauna and steam room.

Better than expected, location was fairly easy to find, parking easy and the gym is 24 hours which is ideal for business trips. Only small niggle is the food is very expensive and not that great. Was a business trip so location was main factor, gym is very useful and would stay again there.

we were staying there for fishing competition run by angling trust, lovely hotel, staff on reception were lovely, hotel room was nice, bathroom dated, bit of better cleaning, getting rid of mould would of been nicer, then we’d just dropped of to sleep and it sounded like a stone was thrown at the window and woke us both up at 2 am the facilities were nice, lovely pool, steam room and sauna

You cannot fault the customer service all staff are so helpful nothing too much trouble. Menu needs updating not great evening meal choices. Also lots of people come to the lounge for work meetings which as a paying guest felt that this is unacceptable as in the morning the noise level was unbearable 3-5 small groups having meetings talking loudly on phones etc so nowhere peaceful for guests residing here. I also mentioned the leisure facilities are fantastic but the shower drains in ladies changing rooms need deep clean as the smell is very offensive.

I had a pleasant stay and overall enjoyed my time here. The room was comfortable and the service was good. The only downside was the sound of the air conditioning on the first night, which disturbed my rest a little. Apart from that, everything went well, and I appreciated the hospitality.

We enjoyed our stay. A nice hotel, lovely bar & restaurant area, nice spa facilities and staff very helpful, friendly and welcoming. One of the mattresses in our room needs replacing as a matter of urgency as springs have gone.

Spent 2 nights here the staff were very helpful and friendly The room was very comfortable with plenty of storage space and air conditioning very good as it was 30 degrees during our stay. The pool area was very good. We only ate in the restaurant on one evening and it was very good.

Only real disappointment from the stay was the arrival. When I turnt up the hotel reception couldn’t find my booking. Then said my booking has been cancelled. As you can imagine this was embarrassing & a bit stressful for my wife & excited kids. Not the ideal start to my trip away. Was eventually resolved.

Overall a good hotel. Service marked down slightly due to the fact that I waited 10 minutes for someone from the restaurant to seat me, I had to find said person as it seemed that everyone was occupied with a function within the hotel. Great breakfast buffet offering.

Generally I'm very happy with this hotel, with helpful and efficient staff. The lotion was empty, and I requested a refill, and by the time I got back to my room after dinner, I noticed that had been done. My only very minor complaint would be that the controls for the shower and room heating were not obvious to me, so some brief instructions or labels might be helpful.

It was a nice room, clean and quiet. I would’ve liked some wash clothes in the bathroom and a fridge. The shower did not have incredibly hot water, more like warm even with the tap turned full blast hot. The breakfast was a little expensive. One bright spark was Jack. The door lock batteries died. He was quick and responsive getting them replaced. An asset to this hotel. Someone who understands customers and service.

Appears to be understaffed with staff with little knowledge of the job. But with that said, they went above and beyond. Called down to find out what the room service kids menu was. Was placed on hold for a very long time to be told someone had to bring the menu. Why not put on the app! Then when ordering room service I was told I didn’t put a card for expenses, but wasn’t asked for one! Then when ordering a kids dessert, which according to the menu came with a sorbet, they didn’t know if it came with anything and then didn’t know if they had the flavour. Needless to say the fruit salad arrived with nothing after all that discussion despite saying it came with a sorbet! There was no glasses for juice at breakfast. But as I said, all the staff go above and beyond even though they lack knowledge and are clearly understaffed.

My start of journey train was cancelled so 2 hours later than anticipated arriving at the hotel. However the reception staff were understanding, kind and welcoming when I did arrive. My room was very comfortable and clean with a good bed and good bathroom. Great selection of choices to eat at breakfast. I would definitely stay at this hotel again when in the area.

Really fantastic 2 night stay at this property. It is a lovely hotel inside and we enjoyed the bar, restaurant, gym and swimming areas too. The staff were absolutely fantastic, really polite and helpful, putting the customer first. Room service took less than 20 minutes from order to door even though it said it could take around 45 mins. The pricing of the food and drink was a little on the high side but with the service and all things considered it was a really great stay for me, my wife and our 3yo.

Nice place to stay with a good breakfast buffet, lots of food choices. Dinner is expensive but it’s good food. Friendly staff. I would stay here again. Nice indoor pool, hot tub is not hot but was clean. Nice sauna and steam room.

Pleasantly surprised from our short stay here. Staff very friendly, rooms spacious, and a pool onsite. My only complaint was the parking fee - bit unreasonable when you’re already a paying guest and can only really access the hotel by car.

Bit disappointed to find parking was extra. Not significant cost but really think this should be included in the room price. Tea and coffee in room was minimal. Extra available but really should stick it for two people, not one. Push up plug got stuck. Shower was poor quality but just about adequate . Pity these niggling issues spoiled what otherwise is a good hotel

This hotel has started to charge customers £5 to park over night.So I'll be going to Holiday Inn in future. The main reason I choose this hotel,and been staying there for over 20 years, is it has a swimming pool.But for the last year it's been so busy with health club members residents can't get near it.
