Lovely old period building with lots of history, even has its own chapel which is used for weddings. There is also an annex which has standard rooms. If you want to stay in the old building you need to book a superior room.Highly recommended for those who want a quiet place to stay. Local national heritage parks (Bradgate Park, Swithland woods) are close by - great for walkers and the hotel is also dog friendly.

The room was clean but bathroom was dated. Shower head had black mould on it and water was spraying at all angles so didnt bother with it. No toiletries. Only a small bit of hair and body wash which was fixed to the wall. But place was quiet and had plenty of parking.

I stayed for one night and requested a quiet room which was accommodated. The hotel has a separate building across the front of the site of the main hotel with more rooms. The room next door did have their tv on loud so I could hear that through the walls and them talking but it cannot be avoided in hotels quiet rooms or not. Staff were very helpful and the hotel is charming with lots of character. Beautiful grounds to walk around with natural water flowing at the bottom of the gardens. Breakfast was excellent. Great parking too. Would definitely stay if in the area again.

External hotel building has thin walls. The guy snoring all night loudly in the room behind me was fortunately drowned out by the loud TV in the other room opposite me. Good staff. Plenty of free parking.

First class stay in an historic home. Decor commensurate with the age of the property. Rooms comfortable and each is different, definitely not cookie-cutter styled. Outdoor eating/drinking areas when the weather permits it. Staff are approachable and helpful. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

Stayed here gor a medieval themed evening, which was great fun! Room was comfortably and clear, however, air conditioning would have made our stay even more comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were lovely

Lovely hotel with a great outdoor area. I stayed solo as I had a spa day locally the following day, was a great single room and would definitely stay again.

The staff were lovely but my Standard room wasn’t very nice. The room was tired and grubby looking. The mattress on the bed was such poor quality that I felt like I was sleeping in a hammock. The quilt was as thin as paper (I phoned reception and asked for an extra quilt which was provided) The cold water tap and hot water tap in the bathroom both only had hot water no matter how long I ran them for. The food in the restaurant was however very nice.

We only stayed for 1 night so not much time to form a detailed opinion. There was a wedding on at the hotel when we arrived so I assume all the staff must have been busy attending the guests, however, we had to wait a fairly long time to be greeted at the reception desk which was unattended at the time. The same happened when signing out the following morning. We were also left waiting for a while to be seated at breakfast and when we eventually sat and ordered we had to ask twice for some coffee before anything arrived. Service was slow and the breakfast not great either. The hotel itself seemed dated, tired and desperately needing a refurb even after allowing for the fact it is an historic building. It is certainly based in an attractive setting though. The room was clean and relatively well equipped and the bathroom was similar but could really do with bringing up to modern standards.

What a beautiful historical hotel, we had a spacious room, clean and comfortable. Staff were extremely friendly and breakfast was superb. Will definitely stay again.

Have previously stayed at this hotel so decided to book for a last minute over night stay.Room was clean,comfy bed.Had a decent sleep ,just what was needed to break up a long weekends travel.Would highly recommended and would stay again.

Polite and attentive staff. Quality of our room was unexpectedly good. A huge room, with views on two sides, and plenty of seating. Spotlessly clean. The room was quiet and warm despite horrid weather outside. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Particularly impressed by the waitress who completely understood gluten free options and informed me that malt vinegar was used for poached eggs so not suitable for someone in a gluten free diet. Impressive!

Property, being a historical building, has absolutely zero air conditioning or climate control in-room, so do not stay here on really hot days. Bathroom was dirty, with what, I believe, was blood on the shower curtain. The building itself is beautiful and the surrounding area is really nice. Absolutely poor mobile phone signal (though this is not the fault of Greene King/the staff at Rothley Court) - just pointing it out.

Lovely hotel will definitely stay again only issue was we stayed in the annex which was lovely but there is no sound insulation and could the next room and upstairs - it's also building that's been converted. Would try and stay in the main house next time . Breakfast was lovely

The room was comfortable but tired. There was a hole in the floor the furniture was seriously ‘distressed and the paintwork was seriously in need of refreshing. Having said that the bed was comfortable with good quality bed linen. The staff members were helpful.

From the moment we drove down the driveway we just knew we would love it. The staff were so welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. The service was excellent, and I'm fussy, having worked in the hospitality industry for around 40 years. Particularly hotels and restaurants/pubs.

I stayed overnight and I found the staff friendly and efficient. Nothing to complain about. The rooms are a bit dated and could do with a spruce up but they were clean and warm and comfortable.

Not a great welcome. The young lady with the greeny blue hair may be in the wrong job. No welcome at all, she had gone to make a drink. Mentioned I had called 5 times that morning with no answer and she said nothing. no "how was your trip?". Really couldn\'t be bothered

This is an old property, but full of history, so it’s unsurprising that it shows its age in places. The bathrooms in the more modern annex could do with updating, but wouldn’t want this to detract from what was a lovely stay with an exceptional team running the show. Nothing was too much and they went the extra mile to make the stay comfortable and pleasant. We would certainly stay again.

Very pleasant two night stay at Rothley Court, whilst on a golfing break. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Accommodation was good value for money, as was the breakfast. I'd definitely stay there again.

Lovely old period building with lots of history, even has its own chapel which is used for weddings. There is also an annex which has standard rooms. If you want to stay in the old building you need to book a superior room.Highly recommended for those who want a quiet place to stay. Local national heritage parks (Bradgate Park, Swithland woods) are close by - great for walkers and the hotel is also dog friendly.

I stayed for one night and requested a quiet room which was accommodated. The hotel has a separate building across the front of the site of the main hotel with more rooms. The room next door did have their tv on loud so I could hear that through the walls and them talking but it cannot be avoided in hotels quiet rooms or not. Staff were very helpful and the hotel is charming with lots of character. Beautiful grounds to walk around with natural water flowing at the bottom of the gardens. Breakfast was excellent. Great parking too. Would definitely stay if in the area again.

Great place for stay, large rooms, friendly staff. Set in beautiful surroundings in a quiet corner of Leicestershire. Great food, good range of beers wines and spirits. Walking distance of Great Central Railway.

The staff were lovely but my Standard room wasn’t very nice. The room was tired and grubby looking. The mattress on the bed was such poor quality that I felt like I was sleeping in a hammock. The quilt was as thin as paper (I phoned reception and asked for an extra quilt which was provided) The cold water tap and hot water tap in the bathroom both only had hot water no matter how long I ran them for. The food in the restaurant was however very nice.

Great location, beautiful building full of character. Rooms desperately in need of updating and the evening food was very disappointing, pub grub at best. Breakfast however was outstanding.

We only stayed for 1 night so not much time to form a detailed opinion. There was a wedding on at the hotel when we arrived so I assume all the staff must have been busy attending the guests, however, we had to wait a fairly long time to be greeted at the reception desk which was unattended at the time. The same happened when signing out the following morning. We were also left waiting for a while to be seated at breakfast and when we eventually sat and ordered we had to ask twice for some coffee before anything arrived. Service was slow and the breakfast not great either. The hotel itself seemed dated, tired and desperately needing a refurb even after allowing for the fact it is an historic building. It is certainly based in an attractive setting though. The room was clean and relatively well equipped and the bathroom was similar but could really do with bringing up to modern standards.

We ended up with a wood paneled room with a view which was full of character although a bit 'tired' in places, especially the bathroom. But still decent. Had an amazing roast dinner in the evening in the restaurant. Cooked breakfast was good. And the nearby village is nice with 3 pubs to explore.

Polite and attentive staff. Quality of our room was unexpectedly good. A huge room, with views on two sides, and plenty of seating. Spotlessly clean. The room was quiet and warm despite horrid weather outside. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Particularly impressed by the waitress who completely understood gluten free options and informed me that malt vinegar was used for poached eggs so not suitable for someone in a gluten free diet. Impressive!

What an amazing place this is, we came here for a wedding of two very special people and what a service this place gave. Friendly staff and lovely place to stay. Food was amazing, breakfast service was outstanding.

Amazing original building with a fascinating history. Most of the rooms are in an annex which are looking a little tired e.g. the bathrooms are dated. Outside parking is easy and lovely grounds. Unfortunately several of the picnic syle tables have seen better days. Overall it's not luxurious, however it's prices reflect this.

Beautiful place to stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. There was a Country singer and BBQ going in the pub gardens which was really good. Room was spacious and comfortable Bar was busy due to the event but they had enough staff to cope so didn’t wait too long to be served
