Stayed in twin room on ground floor which was very clean and beds comfortable. Had everything you needed for an overnight stay. Didn’t use restaurant for a meal and on returning in the evening there was no where to sit for a relaxing drink and had to sit in restaurant which was very busy and hectic. Can hear busy road noise overnight and also people moving about upstairs. Breakfast was the real disappointment though, I had the vegetarian and the mushrooms were tasteless and cold and the vegetarian sausage totally inedible as rock hard, couldn’t even cut it with the knife. At no point did anyone ask how our food was as I would have mentioned the food issue then, feel further customer service is required. Would not return due to above issues.

I spent one night on business. All of the staff were friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The room and bathroom were very clean. I had a great nights sleep on a very comfortable bed. The shower was brilliant and I could have stayed in it for hours. The food in the restaurant not the cheapest but the quality does justify the price. Breakfast was great. Will I stay here again - absolutely

This is exactly the sort of hotel we need to find more often. Small hotel with efficient friendly staff, very clean rooms. Prettily decorated with a really good dining menu. Good value for money. Will stay again and highly reccomend.

I spent one night on business. All of the staff were friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The room and bathroom were very clean. I had a great nights sleep on a very comfortable bed. The shower was brilliant and I could have stayed in it for hours. It was a convenient stay as we were visiting an elderly relative in Southport. My wife was a bit uncomfortable in bed saying it had some lumps in the mattress. She was unable to have a shower as all the hotel rooms only have a shower over the bath and she cannot climb over the edge. From a safety point of view there was no handrail for the shower on the wall. We will not be staying there again.

Great find everything about the hotel is excellent especially the food. Only slight gripe had to pay for breakfast, could be built into room cost. I had a room at the rear of the hotel which was quiet and not overlooked, I imagine a front facing room could be noisy because of the A59

Staff were particularly helpful and pleasant not to mention very efficient. Abi was the very best example of a staff member who did everything to ake our short stay enjoyable. The shower in room 11 needs attention as does the loose toilet seat, otherwise impeccable.

La camera è abbastanza pulita, ho trovato tutto il necessario, tranne un lenzuolo leggero. Troppo caldo in camera, il piumino è eccessivo. La colazione è ok, poco self service, il resto è da ordinare.

La camera è abbastanza pulita, ho trovato tutto il necessario, tranne un lenzuolo leggero. Troppo caldo in camera, il piumino è eccessivo. La colazione è ok, poco self service, il resto è da ordinare.

Staff here are so friendly and brilliant. Room 3 was kind of average hotel room in the UK size but beds were on the small side. We had booked a twin room but both beds were small. I am 6ft 4 and the beds have ends made of wood so i had to sleep diagonally with my legs dangling over the side. Wasn't great. Shower was awkward, we couldn't get the temperature dial to work so just came out baking hot. Given the fact it was ground floor the window could be fully opened (maybe a fire escape thing) but this meant you couldn't leave it ajar whilst out to air the room. Tea/coffee facilities were there and worked well Hairdryer was available. Facilities were clean. For a Saturday night the pub seemed really quiet and no food available after 9pm Overall this place did the job, very expensive for what you get but the British Open golf was on so that was to be expected. The real positive here was the staff Plenty of parking
