A lovely place to stay. Old deanery with many original features giving it real character. Central location for local amenities. Clean and comfortable with welcoming staff and fabulous breakfast.

Stayed for one night and the kitchen was closed but loads of options close by in town. Breakfast was amazing however and worth the trip. They opened breakfast early for me as i had an early start. Hotel was period in nature and some things are tired. Bed mattress was thin and awful, but the room was great. Molton Brown toiletries and plenty of good towels. Staff very helpful and friendly. Overall, worth the money and would return without hesitation.

We knew this place was special from the moment we drove into the grounds. Service was fantastic and our room was overlooking the garden, which was beautiful. Lots of character in the building. We wish we had our evening meal there after tasting the breakfast the next day. Truly excellent and a real treat.

We stayed only for one night, but as soon as we got to the Deanery we were made to feel welcome. Our room was gorgeous, right up in the rafters overlooking the garden. The room was plenty big enough for us and was very peaceful. The breakfast was amazing. Can’t praise the staff enough. The Deanery is beautiful and right in the centre of the city and we felt very well looked after. Would definitely recommend.

Our stay at the Old Deanery has been fantastic, we weren't sure what to expect having read up on the Old Deanery, as we usually stay at Inn's for hikers, with a standard breakfast. I'm so pleased that we chose a two night stay with breakfast included, as it was such a special experience. We were welcomed and made to feel at ease by friendly staff, who are all passionate about giving their guests a real experience, not just an over night stay. The rooms are specious, comfortable and have been decorated to keep with the period of the building.

Wonderful and charming hotel directly opposite Ripon Cathedral. Friendly and helpful staff were there to see us to our room. Breakfast, what can I say… Wow!! Amazing tasting menu experience that ticked all the boxes. Staff were exceptional. Very Highly recommended! Looking forward to returning soon.

It was an amazing Hotel! Just across from the Cathedral on a lovely sunny day. Short walk into Ripon's pubs and shops. The service in the Hotel was excellent and the amazing breakfast has to be seen and tasted to believed. Thank you Lucy and your very professional team 👏

Great stay right in the centre of Ripon next to the beautiful cathedral Unfortunately the day we were there the hotel restaurant wasn’t open but we found a nice Italian restaurant round the corner Breakfast was very nice and different to what most b&b’s do Would definitely stay there again when we next visit Ripon

We only stayed one night and discovered the taster menu at dinner which was readily booked (luckily for us). The food was superb and the sommelier did an excellent job of matching wines. Loved the take on a taster type breakfast too! Will be revisiting at some point that's for sure!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Deanery. The staff so super friendly, accommodating and helpful. I can’t say enough about the phenomenal breakfast. The food was amazing and the staff was on it with impeccable service. Location just the across from Cathedral with a short walk to the square and ample free parking. Would definitely stay there again if in the area.

Such a beautiful, grand and gracious hotel, this is in a perfect spot in Ripon. We were looked after as if very special guests by all the staff. The food was so delicious, a unique and delicious breakfast. Totally recommended

Perfect location. Excellent breakfast. We stayed in Room 11 with a view of the cathedral which is just over the street. The hotel is a very old building so it's a bit quirky which I like and obviously not modern. We are already planning our next visit.
