Great hotel full of character. Next to the river and a short walk into the main town. Parking available at the back of the hotel. Staff were great, always friendly. Rooms differ from modern to very old. Rates are reasonable and the breakfast delightful. Have stayed here many times always good.

Check-in was easy. The room was at the far end of the hotel despite low occupancy. The property was a little tired but the rooms were comfortable, beds and shower good too. Breakfast was good. Be aware that there is a £5 charge for parking that we were not advised of at check in . This surprise was announced at check out the next day

Hotel clean and tidy.Location perfect for exploring Salisbury, staff very friendly, breakfast very good and restaurant food reasonably priced, fresh and tasty. Hotel looking a bit tired and in need of some love and attention regarding decor, some carpets, etc. Lovely to sit outside on the river bank with a drink in hand or if the weather not favourable in the restaurant looking out

Kitchen had just closed when I arrived in the evening (midweek) but remaining catering staff offered me soup and sandwiches. Always a most enjoyable stay.
