HOTEL SONNBLICK Kaprun, Salzburg, am Kitzsteinhorn Gletscher

This hotel was advertised as a modern 4* hotel. When we arrived, the receptionist was very helpful and accommodating but this is where the positives stop. The room was modern but the amenities were below average. 2 single mattresses pushed together to make an uncomfortable double bed, only 1 flimsy pillow per person. We looked at getting one of the pillows down from the bunk bed that was hidden in one of the cupboards but when we looked at it, the pillow was filthy. We booked a premium suite but the room did not live up to the expectations or photographs advertised. There was no air conditioning in the room. We had to sleep with the fan on and the window open but each morning we had to shut the window as the smoke from other guests / staff cigarettes permeated the room. We are both asthmatic and this has caused my boyfriend to become rather unwell. The balcony and furniture looked promising in the photographs. When we tried to sit outside and enjoy the Mountain view, we were unable to move the furniture to a more comfortable position as it had been bolted to the floor - not something you would expect from a 4* hotel. Overall, we were very disappointed with our stay and would not recommend the hotel to anybody.

Ein sehr schönes persönlich geführtes Hotel. Die Lage in Kaprun ist perfekt. Vieles ist gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Der kleine aber feine Wellness- und Saunabereich war sehr schön. Auch der Außenpool hat gerade bei den hohen Temperaturen täglich nach den Ausflügen für Abkühlung gesorgt. Das Frühstück war auch sehr gut - lediglich die Wurst- und Käseauswahl hätte in unseren Augen regionaler sein können, da war uns das Angebot etwas zu „Standard“. Das Zimmer war auch gemütlich und auch das Bad war geräumig und modern. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

We enjoyed a perfect stay at this wonderful hotel. It's clean, the view from the balcony is amazing, the food is delicious and the service is impeccable. Grateful to all the friendly and helpful people who work at Sonnblick and make it such a welcoming place.

Beautiful newly remodeled rooms and bathrooms, very comfortable bed, huge breakfast and great location

Nice large room, two TV, one with seating area, proper bath. Close to Center of the Village.
