Renovated rooms are nice-they have a lot of events there so loud music till midnight-really nice pool area and bar-they have loungers on the cliffs but you have to pay extra to use them. Good breakfast-Would stay there again.

Property is beautiful and staff very courteous and helpful. Services were a tad expensive and the lack of any tea/coffee making facilities forces you to purchase same. My only real criticism was the remarkably tight entrance to the parking area. If you’re driving a full-sized vehicle it’s incredibly challenging to enter without damage.

Großzügiges Gelände in herausragender Lage: das Frühstück auf der Terrasse ist nicht zu übertreffen. Guter Service beim Frühstück, ebenso am Pool und an der Poolbar. Zusatzservices sind aber erheblich überteuert (Liegen am Meer kostenpflichtig. Abendessen und Getränke an der Poolbar). Für die Nutzung des Pools nach Checkout bis zur Abreise am Nachmittag wurde ursprünglich (dann nicht kassiert), ein Entgelt gefordert. Insgesamt aber ein sehr gutes Hotel mit guten Restaurants in der Umgebung.

Hotel was in a beautiful setting on a cliff overlooking the Ionian Sea. Room was spacious and comfortable. Plenty of patio space with sun beds by the large saltwater pool and attractive pool bar with extensive bar menu. Food was good. Staff were wonderful. Parking was gated and free - we were lucky to secure a spot as it was off season and one could not reserve in advance. Only criticism was that the hotel was a sprawling design and easy to get lost, and decor a bit dated.

Great hotel with lovely rooms and friendly staff. Easy access into sea via steps with lifeguard present for safety. Large 28m pool with good depth and very clean was also great for swimming. Pool bar had a huge range of cocktails and complimentary snacks were a great idea. Room large, very well presented and clean. Breakfast was generous and had something for everyone. Parking was a little difficult. Limited space, very tight access from top level. Took some getting used too. Hotel was very good value and we would stay again.

The place itself was a lovely spot, pool, sun beds, ocean access. The staff were good, friendly and accommodating. The room was nice, tidy recently renovated maybe. The bathroom however was run down, chunks of mold in the shower and dirty drains and glass, made you want to wear slippers in there.

Het hotel ligt tussen Catania en Aci Castello in en heeft een ruim zwembad met prachtig uitzicht over zee. De kamer was mooi ruim en heeft een goed bed. Badkamer gedateerd, maar alles was super schoon en in orde! De poolbar is dagelijks geopend tot 00u en heeft een uitgebreid aanbod aan wijnen en andere dranken. Top! Ontbijt daarentegen was ondermaats. Weinig aanbod en van het aanwezige aanbod was de kwaliteit ondermaats. Brood was niet vers, koffie niet lekker, etcetera. Voor ons reden om hier geen gebruik meer van te maken. Al met al een aangenaam verblijf gehad. Personeel is vriendelijk en doet zijn best.

When staying at the Grand Hotel Baia Verde, we were very disappointed. Upon arrival I asked reception if they had water in the room in which they retorted they don’t do that here. I asked where I could buy water and the lady at reception told me there was a shop up the road. (Very little detail). The sheets were not always changed in our room and there were many building works going on during our stay along with power cuts whilst being in the shower. This was not communicated in advance and made for an exceptionally unpleasant experience. In addition to this we requested a double room in which we had two single beds joined together and this was not communicated in advance. The breakfast was exceptionally basic with poor coffee, and a small selection of hams and pastries not at all worth paying for. The only positive was the exceptionally lovely bar staff who recommended a few lovely restaurants in the area. Overall very disappointing, will not be visiting again

À notre arrivée, la première impression était très positive : l’hôtel semble offrir un beau standing, avec une belle vue sur la mer. Malheureusement, nous avons vite déchanté en découvrant notre chambre. Chambre : La décoration est clairement obsolète. Les nuisances sonores sont omniprésentes : on entend les chasses d’eau des autres chambres, les bruits dans le couloir, et surtout, une porte donnant sur la chambre voisine laisse passer toutes les conversations… On entendait même les fermetures de leurs trousses de toilette ! La porte-fenêtre était très difficile à ouvrir et un employé venait chaque jour vérifier le mini-bar, souvent avec peu d’amabilité. Propreté : Le ménage est fait tous les jours, mais de manière très superficielle. Les serviettes étaient changées, mais pas les draps, et ce, sur un séjour de 5 nuits. Parties communes : La décoration générale de l’hôtel est vieillissante. En revanche, la piscine est grande, l’accès direct à la mer est appréciable et un club de plongée est présent sur place. Restauration : Le petit déjeuner sucré/salé est correct, sans être exceptionnel. Nous avions choisi cet hôtel pour terminer notre séjour sur une note plus haut de gamme, mais nous avons été très déçus. Le cadre extérieur reste agréable, mais les prestations et le confort des chambres ne sont clairement pas au niveau attendu.

Pros Location, staff (specially Margarita serving breakfast), cleanliness of the hotel rooms Cons Hotel is very tired and in desperate need of renovation. Although the shower was clean, the mould in the tube made me feel uncomfortable. The rooms can use a few things such as a place for me to use my own hairdryer, apply makeup and box of tissues. Bathrobe wouldve been fab. One of the biggest disappointment is not having coffee/tea making ability in the room. All facilities including the pool, sauna ... We're closed. Due to lack of carpeting, I was able to hear people in the corridor and the cleaners outside of my door in the morning.

Die Location ist atemberaubend. Befindet sich auf Vulkangestein direkt am Strand. Man hat die Möglichkeit Tauchen zu gehen oder am Pool zu liegen mit eine fantastische Aussicht auf das Meer. Die Parkmöglichkeit ist auch im Überfluss gegeben und ist überwacht ein sehr großer Pluspunkt. Der Service und das Personal ist in der Hauptsaison im Überfluss da, present und sehr freundlich. Um dann den Parkplatz zu erreichen, muss man immer vom Fahrzeug aussteigen, da das Lesegerät am Tor installiert ist. Eine Renovierung ist notwendig um die frühere Qualität wieder zu erlangen. Kleine Veränderungen hätten schon große Auswirkungen.

Renovated rooms are nice-they have a lot of events there so loud music till midnight-really nice pool area and bar-they have loungers on the cliffs but you have to pay extra to use them. Good breakfast-Would stay there again.

The property was neat, clean and had beautiful views. 30 years ago it was probably very trendy place to stay. I’m also pretty sure European travelers are vert comfortable with it. For Americans it is a little challenging. Small but comfortable rooms and showers, lots of switches for lights and who knows what else. We couldn’t figure some out. Not many electrical outlets to plug in all our devices. A small humorous thing the phone was plugged into the outlet with a switch for the bedside lamp so lamp could only be turned off by unplugging it. Finally figured that out switched the plugs and used the phone outlet for other devices. Breakfast had a huge selection of pastries, eggs weren’t very warm selection of fruits were minimal, juices were extremely sweet.

Beautiful, traditional hotel with outstanding sea views! The hotel staff were really friendly and rooms spacious! A few suggestions to improve guests stay: . Room air con was not easy to operate . No Ironing facilities - at all? Zero, not even an ironing room? - very strange for a hotel hosting conventions . Pool opening hours could be expanded (even just for adults) 10-6pm is a little short.

The hotel has a very nice location in front of the sea with access to the water what is a great aspect. The room is spacious but not well maintained and no renovation was made. A very nice hotel with excellent service. A beautiful pool and private access to the sea!! The hotel is slowly showing its age and could use some TLC. The access to the rooms with electronic key is terrible. You must try 5 to 10 minutes sometimes just to access the room. Also the rooms and hallways are quite noisy. It is very easy to hear all conversations in neighboring rooms. In spite of the minor issues, a wonderful hotel that I would highly recommend!!!

The view is incredible and makes the visit to this hotel worthwhile. The rooms are dated. There are no plugs to charge a phone except in the restroom or unplugging a lamp or phone. The staff is not polite or cordial. They seem to be trying to make it through the day instead of helping us have a wonderful experience.

À notre arrivée, la première impression était très positive : l’hôtel semble offrir un beau standing, avec une belle vue sur la mer. Malheureusement, nous avons vite déchanté en découvrant notre chambre. Chambre : La décoration est clairement obsolète. Les nuisances sonores sont omniprésentes : on entend les chasses d’eau des autres chambres, les bruits dans le couloir, et surtout, une porte donnant sur la chambre voisine laisse passer toutes les conversations… On entendait même les fermetures de leurs trousses de toilette ! La porte-fenêtre était très difficile à ouvrir et un employé venait chaque jour vérifier le mini-bar, souvent avec peu d’amabilité. Propreté : Le ménage est fait tous les jours, mais de manière très superficielle. Les serviettes étaient changées, mais pas les draps, et ce, sur un séjour de 5 nuits. Parties communes : La décoration générale de l’hôtel est vieillissante. En revanche, la piscine est grande, l’accès direct à la mer est appréciable et un club de plongée est présent sur place. Restauration : Le petit déjeuner sucré/salé est correct, sans être exceptionnel. After some initial difficulties the stay was very positive. In the beginning we were offered a horrendous room which was absolutely not acceptable. After complaining we were offered a free upgrade and the room was good. Nice location with direct access to the sea. Staff is friendly and the property well kept. Parking is free and close to the rooms in a closed parking area. There is a nice bar and restaurant in the hotel.

The property was wonderful and easy to get to. My only complaint was we had dinner at the restaurant and felt we were snubbed as we did not take all 4 courses. The wait staff became dismissive with us and did not offer great service or experience.

Check in / Rezeption Team, super friendly. Pool Area unfortunately 85% ( or more ) Beds occupied with towels ( also from Lifeguard Team for special guest) . Sometimes the whole day, without any guests coming to the reservated bed. Schade Rooms perfekt, very clean. Hotel nice and special .

location and rooms are amazing. Breakfast and dinner staff is unorganised and unfriendly. People are waiting, tables are not being cleared, orders are missing and they are just not interested in giving you a nice time. Front desk staff is unable to give you any recommendations in the area. I expected more

This hotel, its staff, the pool, the sea pool, the food and the ambience exceeded our expectations! We had a five-day trip planned to Eastern Sicily, and we could not have picked a better place to lay our heads. The whole experience was exceptional and to be repeated time and again! Do not miss dinner at the lovely Oleander restaurant or the fantastic sea pool. The staff in all parts of the hotel are lovely, helpful and very cheerful!!

The hotel is old fashion, but beautiful..the property is kept in great condition by the never stopping staff. Cleaning ladies, waiting staff and reception staff in the first place. The majority of people seemed to be regular..coming every year probably for the last 30 years…families meeting for the summer there summer after summer…lots of tradition going. The view is astonishing. Only complain, being an Expedia customer, is that you get treated well, but definitely not the same way as regular customers. Breakfast is very generous and included with the booking and the waiting staff in there treat you with kindness even though they have never met you before. Can’t say the same about the bar staff, but I can understand it in a way. Beautiful hotel that I would highly recommend if you like to get changed 3 times a day to impress the other clientele. Sofa beds( where our son slept)need updating, but overall a magnificent hotel. Definitely worth its 4 stars.

Servus, ist sehr gut im Restaurant und Bar. An der Rezeption hätte ich gerne mehr präsent erwartet. Leider ist Das Hotel weit weg von Catania. Busse fahren nicht so regelmäßig. Man sollte mit Taxi / uber unterwegs sein.

Super séjour Hôtel construit directement sur le bord de mer avec un accès direct à la mer et une belle et grande piscine. Grande chambre triple et Literie confortable Petit déjeuner ok avec une superbe vue sur mer. Gare Canizzaro à 10’ à pied: train direct pour/depuis l aéroport et Catania On Recommende !

The property was just beautiful very neat and the views were amazing. It didn’t seem to be very close to anything at least not walkable. It would’ve been nice to have restaurants and shops nearby. But the scenery was absolutely amazing. The food was great and it was so clean. We enjoyed it very much.

Visiting from U.S. Hotel was nice. Pool had plenty of chairs and complimentary towels. Pool closed at dinner time so you can't go in the evening. You can swim in the Sea easily and there is a lifeguard. Breakfast choices were plentiful. Only drawback was the bus system is erratic. They don't come often and don't stick to the schedule. The Trenitalia train was very punctual and a 12 minute walk away. Taxi back to airport cost 35 Euros.

The hotel stands at a very prominent location overlooking the sea. It is a big hotel but spread out. The pool is probably one of the best I've been in and the staff very attentive around the pool and pool bar. All the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout the hotel. We fund the breakfast was disappointing, more because of the quality of the food rather than quantity. It's worth getting a room overlooking the sea, I wouldn't like to be facing inland or on the ground floor.

The room was very clean and comfortable, and the hotel is beautiful but very much like a maze to get from the room to other locations. Breakfast was nice, pool and outdoor areas had excellent views. There are very few dining options within walking distance, and was not impressed with the onsite restaurant. You have to get transportation to go anywhere which is expensive, but the trade off is that the hotel is quiet and out of the crowded areas. Staff was helpful and friendly.
The room was very clean and comfortable, and the hotel is beautiful but very much like a maze to get from the room to other locations. Breakfast was nice, pool and outdoor areas had excellent views. There are very few dining options within walking distance, and was not impressed with the onsite restaurant. You have to get transportation to go anywhere which is expensive, but the trade off is that the hotel is quiet and out of the crowded areas. Staff was helpful and friendly.

The property was neat, clean and had beautiful views. 30 years ago it was probably very trendy place to stay. I’m also pretty sure European travelers are vert comfortable with it. For Americans it is a little challenging. Small but comfortable rooms and showers, lots of switches for lights and who knows what else. We couldn’t figure some out. Not many electrical outlets to plug in all our devices. A small humorous thing the phone was plugged into the outlet with a switch for the bedside lamp so lamp could only be turned off by unplugging it. Finally figured that out switched the plugs and used the phone outlet for other devices. Breakfast had a huge selection of pastries, eggs weren’t very warm selection of fruits were minimal, juices were extremely sweet.

Nice place. We ordered a room with ses view which turned out to be very limited view. The room was near to the garden enterance and very noisy. Cannot recommend the breakfast or eating in the restaurant.

Die Sauberkeit war in Ordnung. An der Rezeption waren die männlichen Mitarbeiter sehr nett und hilfsbereit, das weibliche Personal hatte viele andere Dinge zu tun als sich um uns zu kümmern Das Frühstückspersonal war immer gestresst. Das Frühstück selbst war Industrie pur, nichts war frisch, alles nur ausgepackt. Besonders das Rührei verbreitete einen ganz unangenehmen Geruch. Im frühstucksraum wurde der Meerblick Bereich abgetrennt mit allem was halt grade so da war, heizpilz, leere Blumenständer usw. für die besonderen Gäste. Ambiente zum nicht wohlfühlen. Die Zimmer waren ok, halt in die Jahre gekommen. Die Gärten und poolanlage waren gepflegt. Wir waren eher enttäuscht, leider!

Location is beautiful on the sea, nice big saltwater swimming pool, hotel is a little dated, scuba diving on premises is convenient, food options at pool bar need improvement, breakfast seating area outdoors is beautiful but food options need improvement, definitely red more coffee machines to accommodate large crowds from tour groups.

Great hotel with lovely rooms and friendly staff. Easy access into sea via steps with lifeguard present for safety. Large 28m pool with good depth and very clean was also great for swimming. Pool bar had a huge range of cocktails and complimentary snacks were a great idea. Room large, very well presented and clean. Breakfast was generous and had something for everyone. Parking was a little difficult. Limited space, very tight access from top level. Took some getting used too. Hotel was very good value and we would stay again.

The hotel feels a bit old and worn out, although the staff at the reception are very friendly and helpful. The location is about a 30-minute drive from Catania city center, and without a car you are quite limited, since most restaurants are in the center. The breakfast staff are also very nice, though the male breakfast host clearly has his favorites—he runs over immediately to seat them and serve coffee, while we had to wait around five minutes just to get a table or order an espresso. The food in the main restaurant is not very good, and the prices are extremely high compared to what you can get in Catania, where the food is excellent and costs about half the price. Other guests even warned us, and we later learned that the hotel changed its chef last year and significantly raised prices. We have traveled extensively in Asia, the US, and the Caribbean, usually staying at high-standard hotels, and I have never before been asked to pay extra for sunbeds and umbrellas. At this hotel, however, guests are charged €30 per day if they want to sit by the sea. The sunbeds by the pool are free, but the area is overcrowded. Overall, I would rate this as a 3-star hotel rather than the advertised 4.5 stars.

The rooms are great... AC works great, bed super comfortable but the bath had black mold at certain place. The pool is amazing... the staff at the bar are wonderful! As for the restaurant... if there is VIP's at the same time... you are left behind. Food is too expensive for what it is. We had dinner at the Four point Mama Sea (walkable distance) once and the service and food was amazing. Should have had dîner there all the time! One thing that was weird at both restaurant... if you order an appetizer with a meal or a Primo and Secundo... they bring it all at the same. I think you have to specify to bring it separately! Other than the restaurant... I give the hotel 4.5 but with the restaurant... a 3.

L’hôtel est vraiment très agréable dans l’ensemble : le cadre est joli, la piscine est grande et agréable, et l’accès privé à la mer est un vrai plus mais transat payant. Il y a également un bar et un restaurant sur place, ce qui est très pratique. La chambre est confortable et offre de bonnes prestations. En revanche, gros point négatif : le bruit. Il faut clairement venir avec des boules Quies si vous espérez dormir ou vous reposer correctement. Dès 7h30 du matin, le calme est terminé : bruit dans les couloirs, portes qui claquent, conversations, et même des débroussailleuses qui passent juste devant les terrasses. Le soir, certains clients mettent de la musique dans leur chambre jusqu’à minuit, crient dans les couloirs, et cela semble être très peu encadré. L’insonorisation est également vraiment insuffisante : on entend énormément ce qui se passe dans les chambres voisines et dans les couloirs. C’est vraiment dommage, car l’hôtel a de nombreux atouts et pourrait être un endroit très agréable. Mais si votre objectif est de venir vous reposer, dormir tranquillement et profiter du calme, je vous conseille sincèrement de choisir un autre hôtel. Ici, le bruit est beaucoup trop présent, du matin tôt jusqu’à tard le soir.

Great hotel, we had a lovely time. The room was nice and cool, which was needed. Cleaning was perfect. Pool is large, swimming in the sea is nice and easy. The only drawback would be the bar and restaurant. The bar is way too expensive, unreasonably so. The staff in the bar are friendly and professional, except for one or two individuals who came off as quite rude when they realised we didn’t speak Italian. The restaurant is very good, but the experience can vary a lot. One evening was very nice and calm with quick service, but another evening felt like an extreme rush, slow serving, lack of cutlery, no wine list being presented and the food completely lacking in quality (which was amended quickly, but still the service can be lacking at times) All in all a great experience.
