3814 Surf's Up!

We enjoyed our stay here but we would not come back to this location. The coffee pot was so dirty, we could not use it. There was crust all over the inside and it was apparent it had not be properly cared for or cleaned in some time. I sent photos to the management. Also the complementary wine, cheese and crackers was very nice. BUT, the cheese had already been opened. It appeared that the previous renters had already opened it. There was no seal on the cheese. I hope the host did not expect us to eat cheese that had been previously opened and used. I also sent photos of that to management. Lastly, the ceiling fans in both bedrooms were covered in dust. We were lucky to have great weather and one of the bedrooms was really warm. We turned on the fan and it started to rain dust onto the bed. We cleaned off the bed and did not turn on the other bedroom fan. I also sent photos of the fans to management. The location is great. The house is nicely update. It is a very quiet location at night. You can walk down to Lover's Point and downtown. Thank goodness this house has it's own parking spot. There is NO WHERE to park in the street. My Chevy 1500 barely fit. It was a tight fit and I had to close the side passenger mirror to fit in the parking spot. After being out all day, we just wish it had somewhere to sit outside and enjoy the weather. The front porch had a hard metal type bench instead of comfortable chairs. There is no useable yard at all.

The moment I checked-in, I was awed by the cleanliness of the whole house, and the host actually welcomed me with complimentary bottle of wine, crackers and some cheese spread. They also provided me amply towels and beach towels as well. The interior is also very nice, you can tell the owner had upgraded the home. The location is awesome with only 1 block to the Lover's Point Beach. Also 3 blocks to downtown Pacific Grove where there are many nice restaurants to choose. The neighborhood is very safe, I walked my dog at 9-10 pm with no issue. My only warning is if you drive a big suv like me, it might be little tight to park at the off street parking spot provided (I made it, but very tight)

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Clean, comfortable, and cute home right in the heart of Pacific Grove with ample amenities (plenty of plates, cups, etc., even a bottle of wine waiting for us!). Our family walked almost everywhere (minutes from coffee and restaurants, 20 min to the aquarium). Would love to stay again!
