Hotel Baia Di Puolo

A great hotel in a great location, but a bit far from the center of Sorrento, but the shuttle service worked great.

Spacious and clean room with a small balcony and nice view to the sea. Unfortunately we experienced a few challenges. The heating didn’t work the first day and night so it was quite cold in the room. We got extra blankets for the night. There was no warm water the last morning which meant that we had to wait around 1 hour to get a shower. Besides that the toilet cistern didn’t work properly (didn’t refill water automatically or did it randomly). The instructions on how to get to the hotel were a bit confusing as they told you to take a bus and get off at a stop (street no.) that didn’t appear in the time table. To clarify this before catching the bus we tried to call the number that we were told to call upon arrival at the bus stop, in order for their shuttle to pick us up, but nobody answered the phone so we ended up taking a taxi instead.

This is an incredible place to stay. Not in town, but easy to get there. A quiet oasis (except for sunny Sunday afternoons lol) with a great breakfast, plenty of food options and very kind and helpful staff. The beach is not huge, but the sand is black and the hotel has beach chairs!
