Wonderful hotel and stay! Great location in Praiano, we really enjoyed being able to walk to different restaurants for dinner as well as a hidden gem of a beach with access to water taxis. Food was fabulous and bed was comfy. They also have parking spots available if you rented a car. Our favourite hotel experience on the Amalfi Coast.

Et fantastisk hotel med glad og hyggelig betjening som alltid hadde et smil på lur. Topp standard over hele hotellet. Rent og pent over alt. Rommet hadde en stor balkong med en fantastisk utsikt. Til og med sengene var myke og gode, og ikke knallharde som de pleier å være i Italia. Frokosten var nydelig. Parkering rett utenfor på hotellets område. Busstopp til bussen som tar deg til Positano eller Amalfi er også rett utenfor hotellet. Ikke gå glipp av det fine strandområdet like nede i veien for hotellet med flere restauranter. Dette hotellet må være et av de beste hotellene jeg har bodd på i Italia. Har reist til Italia noen ganger i året siden 1980.

This hotel was everything and more I could ask, from the attendants to the cleanness of the room. This was the best affordable opción in the coast. When you arrive the gentleman at the front desk was kind and helpful, the room was perfect and very clean and let me tell you about the FOOD of this place, it was AMAZINGGG, very fresh and home made also a great price . If you’re thinking about choosing this place do yourself a favor. Breakfast, WiFi, parking and on the main road without climbing stairs. For me this was a five stars hotel. Thank you for your Amazing hospitality ❤️

Perfekt hotell att bo på om man vill spendera några dagar på Amalfikusten, Praiano är lugnare och mindre än de andra orterna. Hotellet ligger nära stranden och centrum, personalen hjälpsam och trevliga på alla sätt. Vill man ha den stora altanen på bilden finns bara en och då måste man boka trippelrummet. Mindre altanerna till superior-rummen också bra men mindre. Finns dock ingen pool men det har få hotell i området. Bra restaurang finn spå hotellet.

This was a lovely hotel with amazing views and great food! It was our favourite stay during our whole two week trip on the coast. The staff was so friendly! There are plenty of nearby restaurants and a beach you can walk to, and nearby buses. Highly recommend!!!

Phenomenal propert! Stay here instead of Positano or Amalfi(visit these towns for 2 hours each, instead). The room was incredibly clean with a private terrace. You won’t be disappointed. Breakfast is exceptional and the dinner at the restaurant on site was above all expectations. Be sure to try the seafood special!! Stefania(hope I spelled her name correctly) helped us with the bus and ferry schedules. Good news, the bus stop is on the street right in front of the hotel. We rented a car for the trip but I would advise against it. You won’t need to drive once you are there with the bus and ferry options. So, bravo to Open Gate and stop looking for any other place on the Amalfi Coast and stay here.

This is an absolute gem on the Amalfi coast! The restaurant downstairs had an amazing view and homemade delicious food. The beach was a quick 15 minute walk. The staff was incredibly kind and personable, they even sent a doctor to our room since my friend was sick. They treat you like family here. I would recommend this hotel to anyone I meet!

Really enjoyed the stay. The location is great, the place has a private parking, walking distance to the beach and small area shops. The room very clean and in excellent condition, the view is amazing, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Great breakfast and we also had a really tasty dinner in the hotel restaurant. Will definitely recommend the place to our friends.

Stunning views from our room, and I think this was one of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The staff was wonderful and treated us as if we were old friends - they were lovely. Just know that walking to town is not that easy. No sidewalks and traffic buzzing around turns makes it a bit scary. You should taxi to town and elsewhere

Loved this gem! We had a gorgeous balcony looking overlooking the water. We loved staying here versus Positano as it was way more peaceful and quiet. Buses were easy to get up and down the coast from here. The family who runs the place was incredibly hospitable. Room was very very clean, bed was comfortable and breakfast was great. Highly recommend and I would definitely stay here again. Restaurant for dinner was great too with a nice view.

My recent stay at Open Gate was truly exceptional from our arrival to our final departure. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted outside the entrance by the hotel staff, and that personal attention continued throughout our stay. The room was well appointed, spacious, and spotless. We thoroughly enjoyed the extensive breakfast buffet, offering an impressive array of freshly prepared, homemade specialties. The location was ideal for connecting to the local bus service, and the staff were eager to provide us with helpful travel information. Special appreciation goes to Pasquale and his team for providing a wonderful experience and for the thoughtful care package prepared to support our 3:00 a.m. departure. Looking forward to a return visit!

Our stay at Open Gate was amazing. The rooms were beautiful with spectacular water views. But the best part about it was the staff. It’s a family run hotel and they are wonderful to talk with. Very helpful, friendly and always welcoming.

The room was spacious, we had a room with four beds, it was clean and the comforters were so thick and comfortable! The air conditioning worked amazingly. The breakfast buffet had scrambled eggs! The bathroom was large with a great shower! The balcony had chairs and great views! Great hotel.

Stunning views! It’s on the main road which I didn’t know when we booked but it was still gorgeous! And quiet at night with the balcony doors closed. And did I mention stunning views? And the owners and staff very helpful and accommodating.

Great location is Praiano. Right on the main street Amalfi Drive I believe it's called. Our room exceeded our expectations. Awesome balcony with 180 ocean views. There was also a bus stop right outside the hotel so getting to each city was a breeze. The staff was very friendly also. Always available to help and even explained to us the best bus routes/stops to where we wanted to go. He even helped us flag our bus down. The restaurant food was good as well. Overall very pleased with our stay. Our favorite stay out of Milan, Florence, Rome, and Siena.

Das Hotel liegt ca. 10 min zu Fuss vom Zentrum von Praiano. Ca. 10 min zu Fuss hat es einen Strand mit Liegen und einen Beachclub mit Einstieg ins Wasser via Treppen (il Pirata). Es hat eine Bushaltestelle direkt beim Hotel (Halt auf Verlangen). 2 kleine Supermärkte hat es ebenfalls in der nähe. Das Highlight des Hotels ist die Terasse des Restaurants mit Blick aufs Meer. Das Hotel liegt ca. 10 min zu Fuss vom Zentrum von Praiano. Ca. 10 min zu Fuss hat es einen Strand mit Liegen und einen Beachclub mit Einstieg ins Wasser via Treppen (il Pirata). Es hat eine Bushaltestelle direkt beim Hotel (Halt auf Verlangen). 2 kleine Supermärkte hat es ebenfalls in der nähe. Das Highlight des Hotels ist die Terasse des Restaurants mit Blick aufs Meer. We were so impressed with Hotel Open Gate! The staff are very welcoming and the rooms are great. We stayed on the second floor and had a magnificent balcony overlooking the water. The location is a perfect spot to day trip to other towns along the Amalfi coast and there is transportation right in front of the hotel. The restaurant has a great terrace on the water as well. Great spot if you are looking to be seaside but also explore.

The staff is amazingly friendly & helpful! The view from our balcony was spectacular snd it was extra great to have full lounge chairs on our deck in addition to a table and chairs. The restaurant was delicious . It’s an easy walk to a beautiful beach which made our trip extra memorable.

Great location is Praiano. Right on the main street Amalfi Drive I believe it's called. Our room exceeded our expectations. Awesome balcony with 180 ocean views. There was also a bus stop right outside the hotel so getting to each city was a breeze. The staff was very friendly also. Always available to help and even explained to us the best bus routes/stops to where we wanted to go. He even helped us flag our bus down. The restaurant food was good as well. Overall very pleased with our stay. Our favorite stay out of Milan, Florence, Rome, and Siena.

Phenomenal propert! Stay here instead of Positano or Amalfi(visit these towns for 2 hours each, instead). The room was incredibly clean with a private terrace. You won’t be disappointed. Breakfast is exceptional and the dinner at the restaurant on site was above all expectations. Be sure to try the seafood special!! Stefania(hope I spelled her name correctly) helped us with the bus and ferry schedules. Good news, the bus stop is on the street right in front of the hotel. We rented a car for the trip but I would advise against it. You won’t need to drive once you are there with the bus and ferry options. So, bravo to Open Gate and stop looking for any other place on the Amalfi Coast and stay here.

This is an absolute gem on the Amalfi coast! The restaurant downstairs had an amazing view and homemade delicious food. The beach was a quick 15 minute walk. The staff was incredibly kind and personable, they even sent a doctor to our room since my friend was sick. They treat you like family here. I would recommend this hotel to anyone I meet!

Stunning views from our room, and I think this was one of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The staff was wonderful and treated us as if we were old friends - they were lovely. Just know that walking to town is not that easy. No sidewalks and traffic buzzing around turns makes it a bit scary. You should taxi to town and elsewhere

Loved this gem! We had a gorgeous balcony looking overlooking the water. We loved staying here versus Positano as it was way more peaceful and quiet. Buses were easy to get up and down the coast from here. The family who runs the place was incredibly hospitable. Room was very very clean, bed was comfortable and breakfast was great. Highly recommend and I would definitely stay here again. Restaurant for dinner was great too with a nice view.

My bad but should have checked the exact location as didn’t realize it’s right on the main highway, the photo is deceiving. Inconvenient as dangerous to walk as no shoulder or sidewalk. Breakfast decent nothing too exciting. Staff pleasant. Would only stay in Sorrento as pretty trapped anywhere along the coast.

Wonderful hotel and stay! Great location in Praiano, we really enjoyed being able to walk to different restaurants for dinner as well as a hidden gem of a beach with access to water taxis. Food was fabulous and bed was comfy. They also have parking spots available if you rented a car. Our favourite hotel experience on the Amalfi Coast.

Me and hubby had a great stay at open gate. The hotel is beautiful and clean. The views are incredible! Pasquale was great. He helped us book a Vespa and let us know of bus routin the area. You won’t be disappointed. Do have dinner at the their restaurant too. Excellent food.

We had a wonderful stay at Open Gate Hotel! The property was absolutely beautiful, and the staff were exceptional. Everyone was so kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay, which made our experience even more special. We highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Praiano. Also, make sure to try the restaurant! The food was delicious and definitely worth it! We would happily stay here again.

Right on the side of the main road in a very beautiful property. Very helpful staff. The restaurant on site was also an added bonus. We had the best room in the house with the biggest balcony. Overall, it was just beautiful.
