Terrible air conditioning in bedroom (max for ac is 70 F) Limited restaurants and most with non existent ac or comfortable temperature. Be prepare to sweat. Budget cut are obvious everywhere along with 50 percent of the is unfriendly staff. There is no real nightly entertainment. Main pools are nicely heated but there is no real shade available. Timeshare share agents are very annoying and not helpful in any kind of way. I stayed at this facility for 7 nights. Worse Hyatt affiliated property ever

Varias cosas no funcionaban como el río lento, el restaurante buffet, por lo que la comida en el desayuno estaba fría; el personal en lugar de darte información sobre las actividades del hotel se preocupaban más por corretearte para que les compraras la membresía de la cadena, no supimos qué actividades había hasta que veíamos que ya las estaban llevando a cabo. Nos cambiaron de torre a otra cuando es incómodo volver a empacar para moverte y nos hicieron esperar mucho para que nos movieran por lo que una tarde estuvimos en el cuarto sin poder movernos

All rooms are ocean front view-beautiful! Room was very nice and comfortable. But general Facilities were not well maintained. Walls were chipped, floor cement by the pool was faded and chipped. Definitely didn’t feel like a newly built hotel (April 2024). Felt like it’s been worn down for 10 years already. Food was very bad and there’s no other food options outside the hotel. People in Mazatlán are very nice and the workers were very kind.

It is a very nice and big property. I like the amenities that came with the upgrade to premium. The swimout room was amazing. The property is very new; however, there seem to be some upkeep problems. The ceiling in the hallway was leaking. Missing tiles in the pool. The room did not seem very clean. There were stains on the tables. There was no entertainment at night, which on their app it shows nightly entertainment. It was a little confusing. The room service was phenomenal. The taste was great. The Mediterranean restaurant was very good. The Mexican restaurant was not very good, and the AC was not working properly. Overall, it was a great stay. The bartenders were amazing. My son and I had a greeat time relaxing.

My room was lovely. Sometimes we had a difficulty of getting into the restaurants because they didn’t take reservations. Therefore, you had to wait in line which can be kind of inconvenience. If you have little ones the main struggle that we had in the property was around the pool because many of the lawn chairs were taken at 6 AM and there was nowhere to sit. This was a problem and extra stress that could’ve been resolved if there was a better policy in place overall the food was great most of the time we ate in the restaurants we did not eat at the buffet often only for breakfast. I do recommend the preferred lounge. The drinks in there were lovely And the bartender was amazing. There is not a lot of entertainment at night so if you’re looking for a quieter hotel, this might be the hotel for you. Otherwise we found that there were not a lot of shows or entertainment or options of things to do in the evening. The location is close to the airport but quite far away from town so you do have to take a taxi to go to town And they can organize that for you if you enjoy golfing the golf course was highly recommended by many people and very well kept there is the turtle sanctuary which is beside the hotel and to visit it. It’s by donation only and that is something need for the kids to see The ocean is quite rough so you cannot swim in the ocean unless you’re an incredibly amazing swimmer as when we were there, the flags were always up encouraging us to avoid swimming in the ocean.

It would be nice if the lobby had some kind of shutters for the wind as it’s super windy there so much so that you can’t sit up there and enjoy the view. Again for the lobby bar, it would go a long way to have some kind of music playing, even if it’s not live entertainment. The worst thing is all the beach/pool chairs are covered in poop all the time. It would be nice if you could have the chairs washed. The food is amazing, the staff is super kind. At the preferred lounge when you took a drink to go, it was given to you in a paper cup, which became super wet and sloppy. Plastic drink ware would be preferable.

Es un hotel muy bonito, con areas agradables, comida y bebida muy buenos, sin embargo el hotel no se encuentra terminado en su totalidad, algunas areas como el spa no se encontraban disponibles.

Excelente servicio y atención por parte de todos. La comida deliciosa. Instalaciones en perfecto estado. Lo malo, no tienen cargadores para carros eléctricos y no hay actividades para pequeños de 2 años

The property was gorgeous. Ocean was very cold and water was rough, so we didn’t do much but play in the sand. The pool was great. Perfect for kids. It was heated, so even when it was chilly, you could swim all day. There was a large area that was about 2 feet deep, so our 4 year old could play and we didn’t have to worry too much. The food was pretty good too. I was surprised by how much I liked all the seafood.

Recientemente nos hospedamos en Dreams Estrella del Mar Mazatlán Golf & Spa Resort y, aunque el resort ofrece instalaciones modernas y habitaciones de diseño atractivo, hubo aspectos que no cumplieron con nuestras expectativas considerando el alto costo del alojamiento. Lo positivo: • Las habitaciones son espaciosas, bien decoradas y ofrecen un alto nivel de confort. • El personal fue en general amable y servicial, lo que contribuyó a una estancia agradable. Áreas de mejora: • La variedad de alimentos en los restaurantes fue limitada. Aunque algunos platillos estaban bien preparados, esperábamos una oferta más amplia y especial, acorde al precio del resort. • La playa presentaba residuos y hierbas, lo que afectó la experiencia de disfrutar del mar. En resumen, mientras que las instalaciones y el servicio fueron satisfactorios, la relación calidad-precio se ve afectada por la limitada oferta gastronómica y las condiciones de la playa.

Clean facility with hard working staff to make your experience the best it can be. Lots of dolphins in the ocean in this area visible from the beach.

The property is new and they have good facilities, spacious, nice rooms, great activities, shows, events, fun for the family. However, it is understaffed, hallways are not cleaned at all, dirt, dead bugs and other disgusting stuff (someone vomitted on the stairs) remained there for days even after we called the front desk and reported it. The food at the restaurants is very good but again they are unsedstaffed so even if they try their hardest the service is very poor. For example there were very long lines at the breakfast stations or food items weren't re-stocked in buffets, and in certain restaurants the service was slow. Also, the wines included are only house wines that are terrible, we bought wine everynight. They were very inflexibe about certain things that were irrelevant (not letting us add a two-top table to a six-seat table to accomadate parents because it was against their brand) while missing the boat on big things (vomit on the stairs for 2 days) or housekeeping was good but missed details (dirty cups left in the room or the room-service bin for days) or poor circulation in the gym). Its not a cheap hotel and has a lot of potential to be worth the money so we hope they get their staffing right otherwise it will be a waste of a property.

La propiedad es hermosa y prácticamente nueva, el personal en todo momento fue increíblemente atento, amable y buscando soluciones, somos vegetarianos y siempre buscaron la manera de adaptar platillos u ofrecernos opciones vegetarianas. Lamentablemente (y sé que no depende del hotel sino de los huéspedes) hubo dos accidentes en las albercas en el transcurso de los 6 días de estancia, un día tuvieron que evacuar una de las albercas grandes porque un niño vomito y a los dos días otra alberca fue desalojada porque hubo un problema con un pequeñito y se hizo del baño, debería ser obligatorio que los niños pequeños que no tienen control de esfinteres y que están en proceso de aprendizaje usen pañal de alberca. No dan ganas de meterte a una alberca en estas condiciones por más químicos que le apliquen, existía la opción de área solo para adultos pero el costo nos pareció demasiado alto por cambiar de categoría. Creo que prefiero ir menos días a un hotel solo para adultos a regresar a uno familiar donde puedan suceder estos inconvenientes. Es una lástima porque el hotel está realmente hermoso. Nunca pudimos entrar al mar porque había bandera roja y las olas estaban muy bravas pero eso no se puede controlar y nuevamente no depende el hotel.

La propiedad tiene un año y está muy mal mantenida. Elevadores sin funcionar, baños públicos sin limpiar por días, falta de personal, mala calidad de alimentos. Falta de sombrillas en la playa. Mala logística para salida y entradas, cuando se congestionan. Poca amabilidad en el check in. En general, mala experiencia y no acorde al precio pagado.

It was a nice hotel, but overall i think the hotel can do better, our room key wouldnt open the door, and they had us waiting outside our room for over an hour, they should have a master key to open the door, instead they had tu unbolt the door to get it, i know it can happen to anybody, but a hotel that fancy should have other Alternatives to opening a door..

En general el hotel el hotel está muy bien , pero nos quedamos 3 noches y 2 noches se descompuso el aire acondicionado era imposible estar en los cuartos y más dormir , me parece increíble que un hotel que tiene un poco más de 1 año y la categoría que es el hotel no cuente con otra opción del aire acondicionado , fueron 2 noches en donde no pudimos dormir por el calor y lo único que decían es que ya mantenimiento estaba trabajando en ello.

Solo un detalle se escucha mucho el ruido de la habitacion contigua y los huespedes no respetaban lo que dice el reglamento de la música alta

Quiet relaxing resort off the beaten path close to airport. The staff goes out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. We did tip but we felt it was not like they expected it. Staff really appreciated the tips and one of our waiters was SO appreciative and made our night by saying ‘God bless you’. There are no bracelets. The beach is walkable for miles each way and quiet. We saw dolphins daily but you have to watch for them. There are no beach activities like parasailing or jet skis. All rooms are ocean view. We did preferred club which is ocean front. Preferred club has separate pool area & bar but is quiet -no music. There is also a preferred lounge. We also got 2 rounds of free golf with 4 nights preferred booking. The golf course is amazing! At least 6 holes right on the ocean and is in beautiful shape. The club house overlooks the ocean also. We paid $50 for new PXG clubs plus they gave us a free drink. They pick you up at the hotel with golf cart & take you there. We thought the food options were all good. Nice coffee shop. No reservations required at restaurants which was SO nice. Rooms are big and nicely decorated with many amenities. We really enjoyed our stay & would return. We didn’t go to Stone Island but it’s a $30 taxi there and heard it was fun and authentic Mexico experience.

Pésimo servicio de llegada , tardadisimo el check in , otra tanto esperar a q hubiera bellboy disponible, nos llevamos nosotros las maletas al cuarto. Llegamos al cuarto y no jalaban las llaves . Hablamos y NO HABIA manera q nos llevaran llaves , había que regresar .

Great experience at the hotel. A little upset that there was multiple miscommunication. Thania was great help from the concierge desk but no one communicated with her that they changed our room after she had everything set up for a surprise for my girlfriend’s birthday. Also had a romantic dinner set up and nothing was communicated again I went to go ask if it was ready and no one knew anything about it. Joel at the preferred bar lounge was great he made our stay very memorable very friendly and kind even though working long hours he made sure he took care of us in a caring manner. Overall great stay on the property.

The facility is nice and new what the property is advertising online is completely false. The hotel say 7 restaurants but only 3 are available the other 4 under construction, No Spa, room service never showed. Alot of the services are not available nor in use. For the price of this hotel I could've stayed elsewhere.

El servicio en la barra de la alberca les falta surtido de lo que ofrecen y personal muy inesperto para preparar bebidas entiendo que Les llego un grupo muy grande pero t ubieras preparado para la occasion uno ba a relajarse y ese tipo de personas no son las adecuadas para ese tipo de resort.

El hotel no cuenta con el personal suficiente para atender a la cantidad de personas hospedadas en el. Los restaurantes se quedaban sin comida, no hacen la limpieza de los cuartos y las bebidas en el bar se terminan.

Hotel was clean and modern. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Preferred club was worth it for my wife and I. From the bell boys to maids to servers, service was remarkable. Abel and Fernando were our main pool servers at the preferred club pool and they were awesome. Highly recommend the hotel.

El hotel esta hermoso, las instalaciones bonitas y comodas. El servicio excelente. Sin embargo...!!! Tengan cuidado con la agencia de Unlimited o UVC que esta dentro del hotel y te agarran a tu llegada..! Los acosan y hostigan para adquirir una membresía que al final termina con precios super elevados. Nos hicieron perder 4 horas intentando vender la membresia. Mi pareja y yo nos hospedamos ahi para relajarnos, salir de la rutina y alejarnos del estres, pero esta gente nos hicieron pasar un momento incomodo por 4 horas, nos sentimos presionados, estresados y hostigados..!! Al final la experiencia fue agridulce por ese detalle.

Me gustó, la gastronomía esta super rica 🙌 y las habitaciones e instalaciones muy cuidadas y limpias, lo unico es los meseros en area de alberca habia pocos o no te atendían, y el room service muy lento

Excelente en todos los aspectos el que podría ser un punto a favor o en contra es que está a 30 min de la CD de Mazatlán, también deberían avisar que los bares de la piscina cierran a las 5:30 PM, Todo lo demás excelente la comida está riquisima

The $200 credit, is misleading. It’s a coupon book for bottles, romantic dinners, spa service etc broken down into $10,$20,$40 towards the services offered. We had a private taxi drop us off and pick us up. Staff lacks communication as security was a delay to get onto the property. Location is close to the airport about 15/20min, but 35/40 min from the Centro. Beach is walkable but there is debris on the shore, and no way you can get in the water the waves are way rough. Pool staff wasn’t welcoming, ordering drinks was a hassle. Housekeeping showed up one day for our stay (Friday-Monday). Food was mediocre, Mazatlan is popular for its seafood and food he ceviche here was a disappointment. Property needs maintenance. We also were invited to a “presentation”, little misguiding, we were told 90 minutes which turned into 3 hours. Gift was a spa service for $200 which wasn’t redeemable because they were fully booked the days of our stay and a 2 night stay somewhere which show an expiration date within one month. We were overall not impressed, and disappointed. This is more for a family not a couple. Would not recommend or come back. Overall we were disappointed.

Everything was great , new property very nice ! It is just sad that the ocean is so dangerous to swim in that area !

Las instalaciones son buenas, buena limpieza, comida más o menos, pero la playa muy mala, con el agua muy revolcada y apesturrienta y lo peor, que tienes que pasar muchos filtros de seguridad y si quieres salir de ahí, todas las tarifas de los taxis son de $600 pesos así sean 2 o 10 kilómetros, deberían de dar más opciones de transporte como uber .

If you plan to travel with your pet, please read this! I chose this hotel because it was the closest pet-friendly resort to Ciudad Juárez—we wanted our dog to meet the beach for the first time. The listing only said “pet friendly with a fee” and gave no details. After booking a Swim Out Preferred Room, I learned it wasn’t pet friendly. Expedia had to call the property to switch us, and that’s when we learned the rules: pets not allowed in spa, gym, pool, or beach, and they can’t be left alone more than 2 hours. Upon arrival they welcomed us with a bed, bowls, and toys, but the stay was far from “pet friendly.” At every restaurant we were stopped and managers had to request permission for my 7 lb poodle to enter in her carrier—never allowed to sit on the floor. She wasn’t allowed at restaurants, pool, spa, or beach, and we were even called out for letting her pee on the grass (though no pet relief areas exist). Essentially, the only place she was welcome was our lowest-tier room. The pet fee felt unreasonable for such restrictions. Other notes: the resort is secluded, 45 minutes from town, with no Ubers (taxis are about $66 USD round trip). Food was excellent, staff friendly, and the resort a nice size—not too big or small. Drinks were disappointing compared to past stays with this chain. Overall, staff was great but management rules and unclear policies made it a poor choice for pet owners.

El hotel es muy bonito pero la comida no es buena en ninguno de los restaurantes, por las noches solo hay tres restaurantes abiertos y hay que pedir a la carta, lo cual es muy tardado y además sin buen sabor, las bebidas es del alcohol más barato a menos que seas socio, si no traes tu termo en área de alberca sus vasos están viejos y se ven sucios. Las albercas están Super frías dicen que tienen calefacción pero es mentira. Las amenidades que ponen en la publicidad que deberían tener en el cuarto tampoco las tienen a menos de que seas socio. El frigobar solo tiene 4 refrescos, dos cervezas y dos aguas. Lo peor de todo es las personas de recepción de tiempos compartidos donde te envuelven prometiendo ciertos up grades con una plática de 90 min que termina siendo de más de 4 horas, no lo hagan !!!! Piden cantidades impagables para ser socios. El lugar es muy aburrido, no hay shows a ninguna hora. Es un lugar que por lo que cobran no lo vale. No volvería.

Staff made the stay worth while. However, dining options and food quality lacked. Very limited buffet options, i.e. no pasta station like many other A.I. resorts, repetitive breakfast, lunch/dinner & dessert options on buffet. Restaurant’s lacked the quality you would expect for a 5 star resort. Preferred Adult area, lacked food service attendant, however the drink service attendant was on par. Once again the workers made the stay worth while. Abel in preferred adult bar, Santiago & Daniel in Preferred Lounge Bar, Issac, at the Sports Bar, Arturo, in Main Dinning, Mark Butler. Exception worker’s!!

El peor hotel de la cadena Secrets & Dreams de los que he visitado. En mal estado, restaurante cerrados, servicio deficiente, insuficientes sombrillas en el área de alberca y sobre todo muy mala calidad y variedad de alimentos para el hotel que debe ser. Otros Dreams son buenos, este definitivamente no debería de tener esa marca.
