Our group of 8 had a wonderful stay at this property, including 4 kids ranging from 6-11 years old. The house was clean and nicely laid out so that we didn't feel at all crowded. We were able to make several family-style meals in the kitchen. Our kids LOVED the arcade games in the sun room and would go running to relax after long days of hiking. The quick access to the decks and river was great for a morning cup of coffee or an evening glass of wine. The host's communication leading up to our trip was top-notch, and even when we had a small power outage during our stay, he kept us well informed of the issue and even had his staff bring us ice to keep everything in our refrigerator cool. The nighttime view of the stars was breath-taking. We loved feeling remote, yet able to get down into town and to SNP relatively quickly. Everything about our experience was A++!!

River Retreat House is the perfect place for a getaway in nature. The cabin is accessible from town via a 15-20 minute drive along a gorgeous, quiet mountain road and feels very remote (no cell service for us!), but it is equipped with everything you would need. We had a lovely time enjoying the gorgeous river that is accessible from the property and didn't see another soul. We also enjoyed the use of the propane fire pit and incredible views of the starry night sky from the backyard. The town of Three Rivers is very quaint and has multiple places to eat, drink, and shop on your way in or out of town, and after a very short drive you can be at the entrance to Sequoia National Park! We highly recommend this cabin and hope to return someday.

The house is perfect for two people, very clean with modern amenities. The river decks are the star here, just outstanding. We loved sitting there after a long day of hiking the park. So relaxing, the water is so beautiful rushing by. We would definitely come back! Thanks so much! Chad P.

The property was very clean and updated. The decks along the river were a couple minutes walk from house and a great place to hangout and relax. The main attactions in Sequoia were 45 minutes to an hour away. Town of three rivers had a couple nice restaurant and Visalia is a short drive and has a nice down town. Had a wonderful stay at the property and would rent it again.

I'm not the best at taking vacations. I'm a worrier by nature but Srey made my trip stress-free. He was always available to me when i had questions or needed anything during the stay. Srey even helped us plan our trip several weeks in advance. As for the location itself, it was beautiful. We had a constant hum of the river and the stars were amazing at night. The house was clean and cozy. We used the BBQ and the stove for cooking and both worked great. The beds and couches were soft and comfortable. All of the linen and towels were also fresh and clean for us. I'm looking forward to my next trip to central California and have already talked with Srey about some of his other properties.

The home was really nice and the property and surrounding land were even better than the pictures. Our kids really liked the game room and we were able to have fun down at the creek. Owners were great and helpful leading up to and during the trip. Internet is pretty slow due to how remote the property is, so I’d recommend taking advantage of being isolated and just not plan on relying on internet access much. I’d definitely recommend this to any families looking for a relaxing getaway, with good access to nearby activities

Great property in a great location! We had a group of 6 and it worked really well. 1 of the bedrooms is a bunk room that would accomodate a larger group/family well. Three Rivers was an awesome place to visit with great food - all guided by our tremendous host. From the moment we committed to the trip, our host was communicating at a super high level to ensure the stay was all we imagined - and more. Coffee on the deck by the river was fantastic!

The house was very clean and comfortable. It was well stocked with games and entertainment. Gorgeous, quiet setting in wooded area with colorful fall leaves. The decks on the river were perfect place to enjoy morning coffee.

Srey was incredibly responsive and informative. The retreat was spotless. Beautiful, but remote, location. Would be best if you plan on hanging out there for a good chunk of your trip - even not considering a line to get into the park the retreat is >1hr from General Sherman etc...

There are several things that made this a really great experience. First is Srey, the property owner/manager. I have stayed in several VRBO’s over the years, and she is by far the best communicator I’ve interacted with. In addition, she provided a wealth of information about the area - restaurants, markets, things to do - that saved us a lot of time. The house itself is very clean, well maintained, and in a wooded, private setting. The nearby property, which Srey also owns, was not an issue. There were people staying there while we were there; we never heard or saw them. The river is a short walk away and can be heard from the house. The internet is good which was a pleasant surprise given the remote location. I look forward to staying here again.

It was terribly difficult to find. Need better signage. Couldnt turn on the heater unless you disarmed the smoke detector. Bathroom faucets are backwards, toilet paper is behind you. What is that about? Sorry, but we have vacation rental property and I am much more particular about the experience our guests have. The water and decks in back were beautiful. The space was very clean.

Fabulous, nature lovers retreat. Loved sitting on the deck reading, listening to the sounds of the River. The little house was very comfortable, clean, and spacious for my husband and I. We went to Sequoia & Kings Canyon and wished we would have stayed a couple more days just to enjoy the Little house. The management team was very professional and very helpful. Wish we could give the place more stars.

We had a great few days at this home. There was plenty of sleeping space, a well outfitted kitchen and very comfortable set up! The river is awesome…we were there when it was really rushing! The home is about a 15 minute drive from Three Rivers on a beautiful winding road…very secluded feeling even though there are neighbors around. We didn’t have any cell service, but the wifi worked well and there is a landline if you need to make phone calls. Srey provided so much great info about the area & was readily available for questions! Highly recommend!

Owners were great and helpful leading up to and during the trip. We really enjoyed our time staying at this property. It offered enough space for everyone in our family and provided a great background to make family memories. It was located near to the National Parks and other activities of interest and we loved spending time in the secluded, private river out back. Highly recommend!

My husband and I and another couple stayed at the property for 4 nights. It is a great location, very close to the Sequoia National Park. The property is airy and light, with modern decor, and is well stocked. Best of all, it has a great River view. Srey was great to work with. We originally booked a different property nearby and due to the closure of the National Parks, she offered us this property, which is much better. She is very flexible and a great communicator, and suggested trails and activities nearby. We had a great time even though the National Parks were closed. I would definitely recommend this property and Srey.

Our group of 8 had a wonderful stay at this property, including 4 kids ranging from 6-11 years old. The house was clean and nicely laid out so that we didn't feel at all crowded. We were able to make several family-style meals in the kitchen. Our kids LOVED the arcade games in the sun room and would go running to relax after long days of hiking. The quick access to the decks and river was great for a morning cup of coffee or an evening glass of wine. The host's communication leading up to our trip was top-notch, and even when we had a small power outage during our stay, he kept us well informed of the issue and even had his staff bring us ice to keep everything in our refrigerator cool. The nighttime view of the stars was breath-taking. We loved feeling remote, yet able to get down into town and to SNP relatively quickly. Everything about our experience was A++!!

From booking, we had excellent communication with the owner, providing us recommendations, advice, and check-in information for our stay. The house is beautiful with the open floor plan and areas to relax. There is plenty of comfortable seating and we found ourselves relaxing by the river or chatting and playing cards on the back deck of the house. The kitchen was setup with everything we needed to cook, even with dishes for our kids. I loved how open it was with the windows overlooking the back yard and into the game room. The beds were comfortable with pretty linens and pillows. There were plenty of towels (large bath towels, hand towels, and washcloths) for everyone. Srey was incredibly responsive and informative. The retreat was spotless. Beautiful, but remote, location. Would be best if you plan on hanging out there for a good chunk of your trip - even not considering a line to get into the park the retreat is >1hr from General Sherman etc...

I'm not the best at taking vacations. I'm a worrier by nature but Srey made my trip stress-free. He was always available to me when i had questions or needed anything during the stay. Srey even helped us plan our trip several weeks in advance. As for the location itself, it was beautiful. We had a constant hum of the river and the stars were amazing at night. The house was clean and cozy. We used the BBQ and the stove for cooking and both worked great. The beds and couches were soft and comfortable. All of the linen and towels were also fresh and clean for us. I'm looking forward to my next trip to central California and have already talked with Srey about some of his other properties.

I have stayed in several VRBO’s over the years, and she is by far the best communicator I’ve interacted with. In addition, she provided a wealth of information about the area - restaurants, markets, things to do - that saved us a lot of time. The house itself is very clean, well maintained, and in a wooded, private setting. The nearby property, which Srey also owns, was not an issue. There were people staying there while we were there; we never heard or saw them. The river is a short walk away and can be heard from the house. We rented this is to have a place to sleep and hangout between our adventures in Sequoia National Park. This property is less than 15 min from the visitors center. The cabin is clean, the beds are comfortable and the property is beautiful! I highly recommend staying here. I advise checking in while it’s still daytime because the location is hard to find.

River Retreat House is the perfect place for a getaway in nature. The cabin is accessible from town via a 15-20 minute drive along a gorgeous, quiet mountain road and feels very remote (no cell service for us!), but it is equipped with everything you would need. We had a lovely time enjoying the gorgeous river that is accessible from the property and didn't see another soul. We also enjoyed the use of the propane fire pit and incredible views of the starry night sky from the backyard. The town of Three Rivers is very quaint and has multiple places to eat, drink, and shop on your way in or out of town, and after a very short drive you can be at the entrance to Sequoia National Park! We highly recommend this cabin and hope to return someday.

The property was very clean and updated. The decks along the river were a couple minutes walk from house and a great place to hangout and relax. The main attactions in Sequoia were 45 minutes to an hour away. Town of three rivers had a couple nice restaurant and Visalia is a short drive and has a nice down town. Had a wonderful stay at the property and would rent it again.

It was terribly difficult to find. Need better signage. Couldnt turn on the heater unless you disarmed the smoke detector. Bathroom faucets are backwards, toilet paper is behind you. What is that about? Sorry, but we have vacation rental property and I am much more particular about the experience our guests have. The water and decks in back were beautiful. The space was very clean.

Check in was seamless and it was quite hot so they had the ac running and it was so nice to walk into such a cool and welcoming home. Surroundings were lovely and we enjoyed walking down to the water and drinking our morning coffee. Kitchen is very spacious and we enjoyed cooking and hanging out there.

We stayed 2 nights at the end of a 3-National Park road trip & this property was great. We loved sitting in the back by the water, and when we needed additional linens the host graciously answered right away and helped us find them. We found the beds to be comfortable and the sleeping arrangements worked perfectly for our 2 families. Everything was clean & comfortable also! Food rec - we ended up eating 2x at both Sequoia Coffee Co & the Pizza Factory - both were so good!

The host was a great communicator. There were no issues with the home. The property is fantastic. We saw all kinds of wildlife, enjoyed the river, and got to town and the NP easily. Days were full of outdoor activities and evenings were cooking, games and time with family and friends. Plenty of room for 4 adults and 4 kids. Wish we had stayed 5 nights instead of only 4. We loved the easy access to the river. The house was nicely appointed with everything we needed, including a good kitchen that allowed us to cook most of our meals. The game room was definitely a hit with the kids :)

We loved the easy access to the river. The house was nicely appointed with everything we needed, including a good kitchen that allowed us to cook most of our meals. The game room was definitely a hit with the kids :)

We just spent a wonderful week here as our basecamp for Sequoia and Kings Canyon, and we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The location is ideal — minutes from the park entrance, close to all the local Three Rivers spots, and the Kaweah River runs right through the property, which was honestly our favorite part. Nothing beats coming back from a long day of hiking and unwinding by the river. Srey was an exceptional host: before our trip she sent us a thoughtful guide packed with restaurant recommendations, hikes, rafting outfitters, and grocery tips that made planning so much easier — it felt like having a local friend mapping out our trip. The cabin itself is clean, comfortable, and well-equipped; the propane BBQ got plenty of use and the kitchen had everything we needed. Srey was an excellent host. Great communication providing helpful information regarding Sequoia National Park and Three Rivers. The river surrounding the property was as we hoped. Watching the sunset on the mountains the first evening a bonus. The cabin was clean and cozy.
