The hotel seems like a hidden gem. The restaurant uses food from its own garden, the gym was good and the ambiance was fantastic. Everyone was very helpful and made our stay great. We did not use the spa but the products in the room were excellent. Well done, if we return to Athens we will return to the Margi.

It’s a small boutique style hotel. The service is beyond what you would get in other five star hotels. Late night drinks around the pool bar are great and there are usually a lot of other people sitting around the pool. Pool lounging is great during the day and is central to the hotel experience. The breakfast is rich and you can spend an hour relaxing The spa has a fee access to jacuzzi, sauna, steam, and an indoor flotation type pool to zone out It is an expensive hotel but it has everything for your stay and you never really need to leave.

One of my favourite hotels ever! Nice boutique hotel with amazing amenities in an ideal location. The pool area is what you see when you arrive. Relaxing, inviting. The rooms are well kept and nicely stocked with comfort food and drink. The spa is included and is a quiet sanctuary not to be missed. Located in the lovely Athenian suburb of Voulemani, beaches are just a short walk away as is the spectacular marina. It is a great place to stay in it’s own right but for us it provided a nice stopping off point after a long airline flight prior to further travels starting at the cruise ship port. Pricing is reasonable and you will love the comfortable feel of this family run operation. Bravo!!

The Margi is really a 3 or 4 star hotel trying hard to act like a 5 star, with prices to match. Highlights were the stylish pool area, dining and the attentive staff. Yet our room was tiny and cramped, with no dedicated room for the bathroom, no closet door, and insufficient hanging and storage for our clothes. Although we had a “seaside view”, our view was mainly of adjacent buildings and construction areas. The building itself is old with elevators that were out of service for much of the stay. The location is nothing remarkable, a couple of blocks from the sea/beaches and an unpleasant 10-15 minute walk to town. The pool, while beautiful, is not heated and so it was too frigid to swim. All of this would have been acceptable if the price had been more reasonable but for over $700 Euros per night we were expecting more and came away disappointed. We would not return.

We stayed for one night after our flight was cancelled. The staff were friendly and attentive and our room was quiet, as it was tucked away in a corner of the hotel. If you happen to get a room that looks out over the pool, you can look forward to listening to the loud music that is played every evening—fun if you’re sitting at the pool bar, but I don’t know how much fun it would be if you are trying to rest. The breakfast was quite good, but I was disgusted when I saw pigeons walking all over the cutlery that was set out on the tables waiting for people to come and have breakfast.

This hotel was clean, well decorated, smelled amazing, breakfast food was delicious and pool area comfortable. Only a 15 minute car ride to Glyfada and walking distance to plateia Vouliagmeni. Highly recommend!

We stayed 4 nights and loved this hotel. It deserves the 5 stars it has. We travel a lot and have stayed in a many hotels and this is up there with the best ones. The staff are polite, the hotel is modern and clean, the beds are so comfy. We had an issue with a yellow taxi driver (we recommend you use Uber instead!) and the staff on the door came to assist and sent him away. The area is nice and there are plenty of restaurants and nice beaches around. Would recommend staying at this hotel.

An old school hotel with a nod to the past. Not a Four Seasons concept but with its own style and design. A bit rough around the edges in terms of maintenance but it does not bother. Great pool area and adjacent restaurant. Comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. If you are looking for spotless and cookie cutter concept go for the bigger chains. If something different, local and personalized try this hotel.

Pros: Room are very clean and lovely. Loved the decor in the rooms and corridors. Quite a relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast was very fresh and staff extremely attentive and friendly. Concierge is excellent. Location is excellent, close to all the good beaches, you’d need to pay around €100 for beach clubs around though. Cons: Rooms are quite loud, doors bang when you close them so inevitable you’ll get up several times at night. Pool is tiny and even if a few people are there it feels crowded. No beach access.

The property was as displayed online. It was absolutely stunning and the service end to end was incredible. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful at all times. The room was beautiful and I had the most peaceful stay. I cannot wait to go back!

The staff are excellent and made us feel very welcome and that nothing was too much trouble. However, there is a lot of noise from outside the hotel from construction work and the rooms are not sound proofed as described.

Everything was incredible. This may be one of the best hotels I've stayed at in my entire life. The staff was incredibly friendly Check-in was easy, and we got some very interesting refreshers to try The ride to/from the airport (arranged by hotel) was reasonable and the driver was super pleasant and told us all about Breakfast was amazing, and out by a beautiful pool, which we then lazed by for a few hours (you can get food and drinks there too!) I will always be staying here in Vouliagmeni!

Amazing service, excellent attention to customer happiness. It’s a boutique hotel and the prices reflect that, but the service of the staff - reception, restaurant, poolside, room - is impeccable! Great breakfast - buffet with a la carte for omelettes, eggs, smashed avocado etc.

The Margi Hotel was fantastic! From the amazing pool area complete with comfortable loungers and cabana areas(no charge) to the great cocktails and food,, would highly recommend. We used this as a base to tour Athens. We liked the resort feel of the Margi and also that it wasn’t too big. The included breakfast was also a treat and one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve had. 10/10 overall. Perfect if you want to easily visit Athens but don’t want to stay in the city centre. Also easily walkable to restaurants in the area. Staff were very helpful!

We stayed one night at the Margi to be close to the airport for a flight to Santorini. The pool area is excellent, the dining on site was really nice with outstanding wait staff and gourmet meals. The breakfast spread was packed with local delectable treats.

One of my favourite hotels ever! Nice boutique hotel with amazing amenities in an ideal location. The pool area is what you see when you arrive. Relaxing, inviting. The rooms are well kept and nicely stocked with comfort food and drink. The spa is included and is a quiet sanctuary not to be missed. Located in the lovely Athenian suburb of Voulemani, beaches are just a short walk away as is the spectacular marina. It is a great place to stay in it’s own right but for us it provided a nice stopping off point after a long airline flight prior to further travels starting at the cruise ship port. Pricing is reasonable and you will love the comfortable feel of this family run operation. Bravo!!

The staff are excellent and made us feel very welcome and that nothing was too much trouble. However, there is a lot of noise from outside the hotel from construction work and the rooms are not sound proofed as described.

The staff were amazing, the location is very good. The hotel is a bit outdated -- needs a refresh. The area around it is not clean with broken sidewalks and trash. It is unfortunate as the beaches around the corner are very nice.

We stayed for one night after our flight was cancelled. The staff were friendly and attentive and our room was quiet, as it was tucked away in a corner of the hotel. If you happen to get a room that looks out over the pool, you can look forward to listening to the loud music that is played every evening—fun if you’re sitting at the pool bar, but I don’t know how much fun it would be if you are trying to rest. The breakfast was quite good, but I was disgusted when I saw pigeons walking all over the cutlery that was set out on the tables waiting for people to come and have breakfast.

The hotel seems like a hidden gem. The restaurant uses food from its own garden, the gym was good and the ambiance was fantastic. Everyone was very helpful and made our stay great. We did not use the spa but the products in the room were excellent. Well done, if we return to Athens we will return to the Margi.

Great place. Great food. Amazing staff. Lovely ambience. Quiet, Poolside dining throughout the day. Stylish decor throughout. Really enjoyed lazing by the pool. Only 40 mins from the Acropolis and centre of Athens by taxi. A few minutes walk to the sea. Definitely recommend.

Food was fantastic! Great service! Shrimp ravioli probably one of the best I’ve tasted as were the chicken strips and fries. Perfect for kids. Hotel feels like it needs a refresh. Starting to look a bit weathered. Overall, a great location with a chill vibe. 👍👍👍

We had an excellent stay at The Margi and would 100% recommend it. The staff were fantastic throughout—warm, attentive and genuinely helpful. The pool area is the real standout. It has a relaxed, stylish beach-house feel without being overly polished or trying too hard. The food in the restaurant was also very good, and breakfast was excellent. The location is perfect. Our only small issue was that sound travelled quite easily between the balconies, and the windows could have been better soundproofed. This probably would not be noticeable without noisy neighbours, but unfortunately we had some during our stay. Overall, a brilliant hotel in a superb location, with exceptional staff and a pool area that really sets it apart.
