The hotel images online are nicer than the hotel once you arrive. Small and slow elevators, tiny tiny bathrooms, (smallest I’ve ever seen!) and terrible, outdated air conditioning in rooms.

The Amarilia staff were excellent and helpful. Hotel is quite simple but clean and functional. Bar and outside terrace pleasant. Good swimming pool, sunny in morning going in to shade later in afternoon. The hotel is very close to the beach, beach clubs and good sea side restaurants. Bedrooms are fine and clean, beds comfortable, and bathrooms have baths. Good value for money.

Property is very nice, private and public beach is 5 min walk. Breakfast was excellent and fresh. Our room had 3 balconies, sunset and sunrise view. Bedding was ok. Room was clean and actually our room had 2 separate bedrooms that was very nice. Pool is a bit small and only open 10:30-18:30 we did not use it. There are a lot of nice restaurants on the beach but not much to do with kids. Vouliagmeni beach area is 5 min by taxi has more to do but mostly restaurants. Private beaches are a bit pricey for the value.

This was overall a decent hotel. The beds were very comfortable to my surprise. The bathroom and shower were claustrophobic. It was quiet and clean for the most part. There definitely is free parking but it’s street parking which is misleading from the advertisement that they offer onsite parking. Also, the hotel is on a small block and there isn’t a place in front of the hotel to park to get the things out. You have to block the whole road to do so. They try to hold a spot but people move the cones. I would suggest having a person outside to help people checking in with their bags.

Hotel was nice. Breakfast was good. Only downside was that the pool doesn't open till 10.30 and closes at 6.00 which isn't very good for families with children. The cleaners were also extremely noisy first thing in the morning, not good if you want to sleep

Location is great- really near the quiet beach with good restaurants and the airport (not city). We were upgraded to a suite which was great. However, the pics on the website show only the refurbished lobby. Rooms are very old and in need of refurb. Pool is small and shaded in the afternoon. Breakfast is old fashioned and cheap ingredients.

Wonderful experience staying at this hotel. We were there with our family and we all loved the experience. The hotel staff was amazing and treated all of us so well. The rooms were spotless and the breakfast excellent. We would stay there again.

I absolutely loved this hotel. All the staff were very friendly and efficient and responded so quickly to any request. It is super clean and the breakfast is delicious. Room 603 is the best superior double to request.

First of all, this is not a 4 star hotel and it’s unbelievable this hotel got good reviews. The rooms smelled like a nursing home and the out dated furniture was a big turnoff. The breakfast it offered was a sorry excuse for breakfast and did not match any other hotel we have stayed at in Greece. Our hotel room was so bad that we found another hotel and left after the first night. The bathroom had black mold, the beds were uncomfortable and the pillows felt like plastic balloons. I highly suggest you look elsewhere.

Our room was brand new, spotless, beautifully decorated with an amazingly comfy bed. Sea view from the balcony, could sit for hours. Terrific breakfast, within steps from the beach, and great shopping & restaurants just a few minutes taxi ride away. Will definitely stay for future trips through Athens!

A lot of things are dysfunctional about this hotel. Does not honor guests request for 2 beds specifically and claimed that one king bed were two separate beds. Very uncooperative staffs who would say to guests, “you’ll have to talk to us in the morning.” During travels, you just want to rest in a clean room. But also, towels had hair and brownish stains. Lots of bugs. Left over rubber gloves. Clipped nails. Stayed two nights and just unpleasant from beginning to end.

Lovely location, less than a minute walk to the seafront which has amazing bars and restaurants. Food and drink good at the hotel and the beds very comfy. Air con worked well. Bathroom is tiny which is something which lets the rooms down but we had friends staying in other hotels who said the same about theirs.

We had two lovely stays either side of our cruise. The hotel looks cation was fantastic. It had good transport links into Athens by public transport a short walk away. The staff were friendly and very helpful arranging taxis to take us to the port and to the airport. Breakfast was good with lots of choice and all the food was hot and fresh. The room was always clean and well maintained with a lovely view of the ocean from the balcony. The only downside were the en-suite bathrooms which if you are plus sized were a challenge to use fully. Very compact. We can’t thank you staff enough for their kindness. Oh almost forgot the pool area is great, a real sun trap and the pool was clean and so refreshing on a hot day with food and drink available from the pool bar all to a good standard.

The staff was wonderful at this property! However, the overall rating is less than average. Room was clean, but needs a lot of upgrading. Furniture is too bulky for the size of the room. Rooms are too noisy. You can hear the guests footsteps and every time they open drawers. You can hear people in the hallway and stairs late at night! Property is close to some of the beaches, but you need a car to nicer beaches and restaurants.

Lovely hotel with all the amenities you'd like near the water about 35-40 minutes outside of downtown Athens. Rooms are a little on the small side but reasonable. Staff is incredibly couteous amd helpful. Great option if you want a little quieter option.

Our flights changed and we arrived at 1am. The hotel staff arranged for us to have a later checkout in order to get much needed rest. Everyone was so kind. I wish we could have stayed longer.

I loved the free breakfast and it was delicious. The staff was amazing. The only problem was getting into the pool. They had no railing and the steps were deep. Also I didn’t care for the tubs in the bathroom. They were very high and hard to get in. Otherwise it was pleasant to stay at.

Good location, close to lovely coastal walks. Excellent front-of-house staff who were exceptionally helpful in sourcing a short notice excursion and, importantly, sort out a missing pre-booked airport transfer on the day of a taxi strike.

I absolutely loved this hotel. All the staff were very friendly and efficient and responded so quickly to any request. It is super clean and the breakfast is delicious. Room 603 is the best superior double to request.

Loved the hotel but staff wasn’t friendly. Not rude but just not very friendly. Tiny elevators and AC wasn’t great. Room service menu was terrible and the same menu is offered at the restaurant which was bare bones. I would definitely stay here again though because the cost was quite reasonable, and the breakfast buffet was great. Overall four stars from me.

The hotel is very close to Kavouri beach and restaurents in a very beautiful and classy area. Friendly staff. Wonderful breakfast. But the room was a little bit small comparing to how huge is the hotel.

Lovely location, less than a minute walk to the seafront which has amazing bars and restaurants. Food and drink good at the hotel and the beds very comfy. Air con worked well. Bathroom is tiny which is something which lets the rooms down but we had friends staying in other hotels who said the same about theirs.

This hotel is so clean and in a really amazing location for access to beaches, restaurants and only a 25 min transfer to the airport (approx, not including traffic). Easy to get to Athens itself and cheap transfers for cities. Breakfast was excellent and staff very accommodating when our flight arrived very late. would come again!

We loved everything about Amarilia! The people were friendly and helpful, hotel was clean, breakfast was excellent, location to beaches couldn't be beat and location to public transport to get to downtown Athens was good. Would highly recommend Amarilia.

Wonderful experience staying at this hotel. We were there with our family and we all loved the experience. The hotel staff was amazing and treated all of us so well. The rooms were spotless and the breakfast excellent. We would stay there again.

We had two lovely stays either side of our cruise. The hotel looks cation was fantastic. It had good transport links into Athens by public transport a short walk away. The staff were friendly and very helpful arranging taxis to take us to the port and to the airport. Breakfast was good with lots of choice and all the food was hot and fresh. The room was always clean and well maintained with a lovely view of the ocean from the balcony. The only downside were the en-suite bathrooms which if you are plus sized were a challenge to use fully. Very compact. We can’t thank you staff enough for their kindness. Oh almost forgot the pool area is great, a real sun trap and the pool was clean and so refreshing on a hot day with food and drink available from the pool bar all to a good standard.

Property is very nice, private and public beach is 5 min walk. Breakfast was excellent and fresh. Our room had 3 balconies, sunset and sunrise view. Bedding was ok. Room was clean and actually our room had 2 separate bedrooms that was very nice. Pool is a bit small and only open 10:30-18:30 we did not use it. There are a lot of nice restaurants on the beach but not much to do with kids. Vouliagmeni beach area is 5 min by taxi has more to do but mostly restaurants. Private beaches are a bit pricey for the value.

Our room was brand new, spotless, beautifully decorated with an amazingly comfy bed. Sea view from the balcony, could sit for hours. Terrific breakfast, within steps from the beach, and great shopping & restaurants just a few minutes taxi ride away. Will definitely stay for future trips through Athens!

A really nice hotel across from the much more expensive Divani Apollon. You still get great access to the sea as well as a clean, comfortable room with nice balcony and a swimming pool. My only complaint was the wifi. It was inconsistent and slow. It would be impossible to do a zoom call let alone browse a website. If they can fix that, I'll come back.

Overall this was a good choice for us. Location (Vouli is great) was great, free parking near by, pool was small but fabulous. Room was small but clean. Near Zen beach which is an amazing beach. The redheaded women at check and the male bar tender were rude/unfriendly at times. This surprised us since we have been all over Greece these last 2 weeks and everyone is so friendly.

Overall this was a good choice for us. Location (Vouli is great) was great, free parking near by, pool was small but fabulous. Room was small but clean. Near Zen beach which is an amazing beach. The redheaded women at check and the male bar tender were rude/unfriendly at times. This surprised us since we have been all over Greece these last 2 weeks and everyone is so friendly.

The hotel is something of a disaster. The building looks stylish and modern but is let down by the staff - the breakfast team don't care, the bar staff are just ambivalent about their work and the reception team (the man not the lady) are useless. Breakfast is dreadful, the chairs in the bar and restaurant are so cheap and uncomfortable. The fridge in the room was very noisy and I asked for it to be unplugged- three times - and I wnedup doing it myself. They seem to be more focused on arguing with you over helping you. In short, not worth the money or the hassle.

Our experience at Amarilia Hotel is beyond words amazing!!! We are returning guests and I highly recommend it, this hotel has it all, the great location, very clean, excellent customer service and a wonderful breakfast! I can’t wait to visit Athens again and definitely can’t wait to stay at Amarilia!
