Very good, comfortable and clean. Great pool and leisure facilities. Food was great and i loved the rooms.

Property was fantastic. The pool and sauna were relaxing. The grounds were beautiful and the lounge/patio provided fantastic views. Drive on the really skinny road up to the hotel was crazy!!

A wonderful hotel, beautiful, stylish with kind & curteous staff. Very comfortable bedroom,clean & spacious. We enjoyed the pool & jacuzzi too. The dining room is spectacular, fabulous food in the evening & lovely breakfast too. We will definitely stay again.

Absolutely stunning hotel, super clean, luxury toiletries, so well staffed and everyone so friendly and helpful. Breakfast high quality local produce with buffet and a la carte options. Wellness facilities beautiful and really relaxing.

Delighted by initial impression, friendly greeting by staff, well-appointed room, health club amenities, spectacular views from beautiful comfortably furnished patios, gorgeous Victorian garden, retro movie theatre, Glasshouse cocktail bar, dining options, and help with touring and travel planning.

Staff was nice and helpful. Unfortunately the air in the room was stuffy and needed fresh air. Air conditioner would have made the stay much nicer. Our dinner was very good. There wasn’t enough parking.

Beautiful property with scenic view of the entire city. Scenic elegant restaurant with gorgeous view of city. Excellent Fitness center. The only thing I would say is no air-conditioning in room but that’s only a problem if it’s over 20°! would stay again.

Loved this hotel. Staff very professional and breakfasts with good variety and delicious. Enjoyed the garden with the whimsical rabbit sculptures. Also watched a movie in the very comfortable cinema. Highly recommend this hotel

Quite disappointing! Purpose for having an apartment for 3 nights was to cook, relax and enjoy. Construction outside our window was our alarm early morning and didn't stop all day! Even Saturday morning! We were never advised the facility was under construction. Stove/oven not working, dryer not effectively drying clothes, shower curtain moldy and smelled, many calls to main desk were met with no answer or an excuse nobody was available to service. We were told several times to "call anytime!!", but even when our needs were known, nobody came to fix the problems! Overpriced for what we received from this inconvenient, all talk and no delivery experience. Never again!

This hotel was incredibly clean and inviting. The view is gorgeous. The apartments are enormous! The front desk staff was SOOOOO nice. We had to leave before the restaurant opened on two of the days of our stay, and the front desk staff MADE my husband coffee at no charge! The parking was tight-- my only negative (but there is construction going on). Otherwise, I would advise EVERYONE to stay at this beautiful and friendly gem in Cork!

Stayed in 2 bedroom apartment but there was no cleaning service for the 4 nights. Both toilets didn't flush properly and no air conditioning so it was very hot. Plug sockets were scarce in the bedrooms too. Good points are the hotel itself is beautiful with amazing views from the rooftop bar. Lovely woodlands area to sit and chill and staff were helpful and friendly. City centre shopping was reachable by foot in 10 minutes.

The building and views were beautiful. Staff at the reception were welcoming and gave good recommendations for the town for dinner and drink options etc. Staff in breakfast/dinner were a little chaotic. Seemed like there was a lot of them but they were disorganised and rather than each looking after a section they were all servicing the whole restaurant. You either didn't get service for a long period or got asked 3 times in 2 minutes by different people. Room was lovely but smelt of strong fresh paint which wasn't ideal. Nice pool & jacuzzi etc.

It was wonderful. The staff was amazing.. the views of Cork city were so pretty. The pool and hot tub were lovely and warm. Everything was so clean and the food was delicious..

Property is nice with a great view. Biggest issues were that our room was up a set of stairs ,across a short hall, and down more stairs. There were no multiple lower level doors that could have been made 2 way access doors to make this much easier, but they all only had handles on the inside. Our room window didn't fully close, so we could hear all the people at the bar and in the courtyard. Fortunately, we were very tired and this didn't keep us awake long.

Check-in staff was friendly and the hotel looks beautiful. The hotel room was not the best. It was very hot in the room with no way to cool it down. The bathroom was very cramped. The shower didn’t have a door so a lot of water flooded the bathroom floor causing a major slip issue. Poor design. I expected the food to be better but it wasn’t so great. Very bland and small portions. The view is very nice and the grounds are beautiful. Watch out for the random elevator they have. Seems dangerous and hardly worked. Overall, I expected a lot better from this hotel.

A tale of two rooms, I haven't stayed here for a number of years as it is in my opinion over priced but with a meeting just down the road though I'd give it another try. First room was small, overlooking the car park, heating blasting away (centrally controlled so no option to turn off) air con not working. Hotel quickly sent someone to fix, twice, neither worked. Moved to another room which was fine. The basic rooms are small and very dark, not sure if this is meant to be atmospheric/romantic but is just gloomy in my opinion. Had dinner in the restaurant, again over priced and very dark ( I do understand that they want to highlight the twinkling lights from the city) but when you need your phone torch to read the menu perhaps a bit more lighting is needed! Sorry Montenotte wont be back.

Beautiful hotel and grounds with a great bar and restaurant. Outside of the hustle and bustle of Cork which is nice because it’s only a 10-15euro taxi into town or a 20min downhill walk. Rooms were spacious and clean, loved the product they provided. Only thing that wasn’t great are the rooms that face the parking lot. No view and not much privacy so you have to keep the window blinds closed. No overhead lights so unfortunately it makes the room pretty dark. Otherwise, lovely staff and again, beautiful hotel. Great place for multiple days of relaxation

My husband and I stayed at this hotel twice this month while working in Cork, and we had a wonderful experience both times. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, and the staff are incredibly accommodating and friendly. On our first stay, we booked an Executive Room, which was spacious, impeccably clean, and had a very comfortable bed along with a smart TV. The only improvement I would suggest is adding a mini refrigerator, as there wasn't one, and there was no air conditioning, although I understand that's not as common in Ireland. During our second stay, we were in a King Room. Although it was smaller, it was just as clean, with a comfortable bed, though this room lacked both a smart TV and a refrigerator. The food and views were also fantastic. Overall, this is an amazing place to stay!

Room was nice, but no climate control. Whatever management feels like, that what's you get. We opened the room window to get some air. Friendly and efficient, and I would even say, highly professional staff.

Honestly expected a bit more from a 4-star hotel. The facilities were great and the views exceptional, but service was spotty and the room amenities average.

The staff was fantastic and so accommodating. I had chocolates and water next to the night stand every night. I had issues with my card when I arrived after an overnight flight. I was exhausted after a long flight and arrived around 11 am. They called housekeeping and got my room ready early so that I could rest and told me we would sort out the card after I had time to rest. Unbelievable customer service and all done with a smile. Would definitely stay there again. Great job!

The staff are fantastic in the Montenotte. Couldn’t fault them. Friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. The service was great. Loved the cinema, beautiful decor, gorgeous panorama bar and cocktail lounge. Will definitely be back again.

The property was beautiful. The staff (every one of them) was extremely helpful, attentive and polite. The view from the bar overlooking town was beautiful. Room size was adequate. (We had 3 people).

Probably the best overall hotel that I've stayed at to date. We were greeted very warmed by Ken. Such a kind and helpful man, my shy kids even felt comfortable asking him questions. The entire staff was very kind and helpful. Always checking on you as you walked by. The property itself is stunning and fairly priced for all the amazing amenities. Can't say enough good thing about this hotel. High praise from the kids too.

This hotel has so much potential. It’s a gorgeous property. However, its customer service negates that. At check-in, the staff member was ready to charge us in full for our three rooms plus a deposit for each until I reminded him that we prepaid for the rooms. We ate lunch at the hotel restaurant. Despite being $250, all six of our meals were inedible - simple things like a salad and a burger were terrible even though they looked beautiful. We would’ve said something but we never saw our waitress again or anyone after we placed our order. She was rude when taking our order so maybe that’s a good thing. At the glasshouse, none of the four bartenders could say what beer was on tap. Did they even work there? Finally, at check out, we were told we owed $27 euros for laundry. We didn’t do laundry. The staff member looked at her records and realized the mistake (must have been from a prior guest?). I then had to proactively ask her to reverse the deposits for each room, as she apparently forgot and/or wasn’t going to do so. That the guests have to remind the hotel staff at check-in and check-out of the correct charges and for a deposit return really leaves an unsettling feeling for the guest. She never asked how our stay was, probably because the hotel doesn’t want to know. The hotel needs a hard reset. The focus should be on the fundamentals, like food quality, customer service, and training staff, before aesthetics. Don’t put lipstick on a pig.

The hotel itself is very nice. However the staff make this an exceptional place to stay off you’re visiting Cork.

Overall we had a great stay at the Montenotte Hotel. The parking is a little hit or miss. We were very lucky to get a space as someone else was leaving. All parking was full. Some cars had even parked in places that were not designated parking spots. The hotel itself is beautiful. Looks very new and clean. The person who checked us in was polite but not overly helpful. I have e-mailed a request for a late check out but on arrival was told I would have to check at the front desk in the morning. There was also very little information about the other services available. I had to ask where the bar is and what time check out was. No info was given about breakfast or the spa which I didn't even know about until I was checking out. Missed opportunity to make more money on the hotels part. But we did go for a drink at the bar after checking in. We were told they were setting up for breakfast so we sat outside. The view overlooking the city is just beautiful. The room was nice, clean and spacious. The bathroom was lovely with an amazing rainfall shower. We found the hotel very comfortable and would stay again. My only complaint is that the hotel appears to be finished to a high standard that is not mirrored in the service at check in. But overall it was a great stay.

I have to say the best part of the entire stay were the people. From the moment you arrived to the day you left, everyone was so kind. We were met at the door by a gentlemen of the name Ken, boy is he amazing. He talked football with my son, and made us feel like he had been waiting for us to show up, and that we were the only people staying there. I can’t tell you enough the kind of hospitality we felt when we were there, and it was amazing. Would stay there again!

Very upscale with a nice restaurant. The view over Cork was magnificent. Easy walk to the city center, was very convenient.

The staff, hotel and amenities were fabulous. We rented an apartment would highly recommend cooking facilities (not that I did any of that on holiday) full size fridge, washing machine etc. The apartment was really great. One very important thing I need to make traveler’s aware of if driving yourself and not part of a tour. Ignore the sat nav directions it tells you to take lovers walk to the hotel do not do it what a nightmare. This road is only made for one car not two. Unfortunately we had the full experience of two cars coming either direction on this road what a nightmare. Even if you are the greatest driver this is going to be a nightmare. If the car comes out in one piece without any damage you will be very lucky. I asked the staff about this road and they all knew it was a nightmare not sure why the sat nav selects this route. There is another route you can take I believe it is Summerhill way better than the other route. Besides that nightmare road the hotel is fantastic. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Great location - incredible views and the staff were outstanding.

Such a lovely hotel! The staff were so great, friendly & helpful. The decor is beautiful and the drinks and dining options are good with such a lovely vista over the city. The location is a bit out of town and uphill but we did walk it on a couple of occasions and taxi the rest! I would certainly recommend 👍

It's known for its unique position with a steep entrance, The hard right is challenging for newer drivers on the left!!! This hotel was super friendly and efficient service at the desk. The impressive breakfast spread was so worth it!!! Additionally, The Montenotte offers fantastic views over Cork city due to its elevated position, which adds to its charm. We didn't use the other features but toured before we left the cinema and a well-equipped gym.

Beautiful view over the river above the city. Easy onsite parking. Fabulous breakfast and cocktail balcony with views over the city. A bit of a walk down to the city, but a quick taxi ride back if needed.

Beautiful hotel above Cork. The grounds were lovely. The bed was comfortable. Their food was excellent. Great breakfast buffet! The roads getting there were a bit scary. Very narrow!

A great view over Cork. The cocktails in the beautiful Glasshouse were first class, followed by a meal in The Panorama restaurant. The staff are lovely and the accommodation is perfect. A great place to unwind and feel welcome.

The hotel is in a good location to downtown and on a hill nearby giving you a nice view. Once I went to Cork Center I could see there were plenty of restaurants and shopping there though parking was a challenge. The hotel has a good breakfast. I thought the dinner was ok - they had 4 main entrees not available because they were changing the menu the next week so that made it somewhat limited. The drinks at the bar were expensive. The room was nice but there wasn't any space to put away your clothing except a few hangers. I think they could have managed a dresser instead of a desk - it would be more appreciated. There was no ice on the floors (an American thing - I know). The handle to the bathroom door fell off and I would think housekeeping would notice that over 3 days. Anyway, a few changes would bring it up to 5 star. The staff was lovely!

Don’t miss the hotel restaurant! The chef and service is fantastic. Beautiful view of the city and the hotel has a beautiful sculpture garden. Front desk staff wonderful, professional and extremely helpful.
